Our stay at W Algarve was truly beyond our expectations. We booked the two-bedroom suite, and it was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family of five. The wraparound balcony offered spectacular ocean views that made every morning feel special.
The property itself is beautiful and expansive with so much to explore. Our kids absolutely loved the playground. Although we visited in February and it was too cold to swim, the pool looked amazing and there was also a lovely jacuzzi. The beach access was another highlight with stunning views, and evening walks around the property under the stars were peaceful and memorable.
The gym deserves special recognition—it was the best we used during our entire trip, with a huge space and a wide variety of machines and weights.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly hospitable and accommodating from start to finish, welcoming us with sparkling wine for the adults and juices for the kids. When our return flights were unexpectedly cancelled, they went above and beyond—helping us extend our stay at a reduced rate, contacting the car rental company for us, and even preparing packaged breakfasts for our early departure.
It truly felt like a home away from home. Our family will always remember the Algarve with such fondness because of this stay, and we would absolutely love to return.

We stayed for 2 nights at the W Algarve and had a great experience! The hotel has a very interesting modern style, but with outside spaces that offer genuine sense of calm and relaxation. The outdoor areas are spacious and inviting, with plenty of room to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. You can walk to the beach through
Evaristo Beach, located just below the hotel, is small and rocky, so it may not be the most suitable option for families with young children. However, the hotel has two large swimming pools that might compensate for the lacklustre beach.
What truly sets W Algarve apart, though, is its exceptional staff. Eliana at the front desk provided an attentive, warm, and genuine welcome. During check-in, I casually mentioned my love for a specific traditional Algarve pastry. To our surprise, the very next day, we returned to our room to find a selection of those very pastries waiting for us, accompanied by a handwritten note saying they knew we enjoyed them and wanted to offer them as a gift. This level of attention to detail and personal care is outstanding. Thank you so much, Eliana – you know how to make people feel special!
A special mention as well to Pedro and João from the valet team, who were consistently welcoming, and professional.
The W Algarve hotel is impressive, but what makes it truly unique and memorable are its people. Kudos to the entire W Algarve team for delivering such a remarkable experience.

Birthdays are always special, but this one was made unforgettable thanks to the incredible team at W Algarve.
From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the stunning multi-level suites with a private plunge pool — the kind of space that makes you immediately slow down and enjoy the moment. Even with the weather not fully cooperating, the experience never missed a beat.
A huge thank you to the Insider team — Diogo and Carina — along with Cassie and the amazing “Whatever/Whenever” team who truly lived up to the name. Every detail was handled with warmth, professionalism, and a level of hospitality that made the entire stay feel effortless.
One highlight that absolutely deserves a mention was dinner at Vino by Paper Moon. The food was exceptional and Lory took incredible care of us throughout the evening. A perfect combination of great cuisine, atmosphere, and service.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It’s a perfect resort if you’re looking to relax and spend the entire day on the property.
The reception team was outstanding — extremely welcoming, professional, and attentive. The service throughout my stay was warm and friendly.
The room was brand new, beautifully designed, and equipped with excellent facilities and high-quality hardware. Everything felt modern and well maintained.

We had an exceptional stay at W Algarve, which exceeded all expectations from start to finish. From the airport welcome and the warm reception at the hotel to being checked into our room earlier than expected, everything felt seamless and genuinely luxurious. The hotel itself is stunning — immaculate rooms, excellent facilities, and a clear attention to detail throughout. We also received a lovely welcome gift. Although we didn’t make extensive use of the concierge services, it was clear that the entire team operates at an exceptionally high standard.
Despite visiting in December, the area around the hotel has plenty of great restaurants nearby. While we enjoyed dining at the hotel (including the Italian restaurant, Paper Moon), we also explored the surrounding area and found many excellent options within easy reach.
One thing worth noting is that the hotel is not within immediate walking distance of a major town. Albufeira is about an hour on foot or a short and very affordable Uber ride away, while a smaller area with a surf beach is around a 20-minute walk in the opposite direction. Surfboards were available for hire even in December, and Albufeira also offers dolphin-watching tours. For us, this location worked perfectly, especially with the beautiful coastal paths and direct beach access, ideal for walking and hiking.
The level of service truly stood out — from housekeeping to restaurant teams and every member of staff we encountered. Everyone clearly takes pride in creating an outstanding guest experience. A superb hotel that we would recommend to couples, families and anyone looking for a high-quality luxury stay by the ocean.
