Have returned after a 4 night stay with my mum and daughter.
The hotel is very nice when you walk in and the room was clean. We would have preferred a room with 3 beds, as one of us had to use the pull out sofa bed. Which wasn't that comfortable. They was also an issue with ants, which were on the floor.
The food we can not fault, ample, tasty and great choice each day.
The drinks were plentiful in choice also.
The hotel was largely made up of large group bookings of teenagers. And on a whole was not too much of an issue. The odd nights when they would come in very loudly. I did see the gent on reception tell them off when they were slamming doors.
The location is very good, although we didn't use the sister hotels. The option was there.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

We’ve just returned from a holiday and while we loved the area itself, we were very disappointed with our stay at Muthu Forte da Oura.
The biggest positive was definitely the staff — every member of staff we encountered was lovely, friendly, and clearly trying their hardest. Unfortunately, the issues with the hotel itself outweighed that.
On arrival, we found the lighting in our room extremely poor. As three girls getting ready in the evenings, this was really inconvenient. The only decent lighting was in the bathroom, which obviously isn’t practical when someone is showering. For a hotel advertised as five-star, this was disappointing from the start.
The bathroom itself also did not feel five-star standard. The shower was over an old, grotty bath with a dated shower curtain, and overall it felt tired and in need of updating. We also couldn’t shut our balcony door properly and had to ask for assistance.
Housekeeping was another issue. Dirty cups and glasses were left without being washed, yet there were no washing-up facilities provided in the room either — no cloth, washing-up liquid, or anything similar. As an all-inclusive hotel, we would have expected this to be taken care of.
The food was unfortunately one of the biggest let-downs. None of us rated it and we ended up eating out multiple times. Some salads tasted unpleasant, and the Asian-themed night was far too spicy for those of us who don’t eat spicy food. One positive was that one member of our group is gluten-free, and the hotel did make an effort by providing gluten-free toast at breakfast and separate gluten-free desserts, which was appreciated.
The drinks selection was also disappointing. The bar only stocked their standard gin with no flavoured options, so we ended up buying our own pink gin elsewhere — another extra expense. We were also surprised that bottled water wasn’t included. In every other all-inclusive hotel we’ve stayed at, bottled water has been provided or stocked in the room fridge, but not here.
We also had ongoing issues with ants coming onto the balcony and into the room daily.
Overall, we would personally rate this hotel closer to a three-star than a five-star experience. The staff genuinely did their best, but the hotel itself feels poorly maintained and lacking the quality you would expect for the price paid.
We would happily return to Albufeira because we loved the resort, but unfortunately we would not return to this hotel.

ok I was very sceptical coming here after the reviews
First thing the food isnt amazing in the evening but they do have other restaurants to go to. We went to the Chinese it was good. The breakfast is ok, the burgers by the pool where good.
The rooms are fine we had 3 in one room and it was plenty for what we needed.
The location was good with plenty of Ubers and trucks available for lifts and it was 10 minutes walk to the strip

Hotel is great, once you get your head around being across 3 close locations. Rooms were really nice, Food was good, enjoyed breakfast, not tried lunch and the Mexican restaurant is the best.
Amir is great behind the bar, suggested a cocktail when I asked for a coconut rum and my whole family loved it. The 'Amir Special' needs to be added to the cocktail menu for sure!! :-)
Good value for money and its in a great location

Would definitely recommend this place. Food selection at the buffet was limited but changed ever and the majority of it was delicious, the mixed seafood was some of the best I’ve had and was of restaurant quality. The service was generally very good, we felt supported by many members of staff particularly the ones working night shifts who were friendly and attentive. There was one receptionist, however, who was overtly rude as we were checking in and made me feel a little uneasy despite us trying to be as fast as possible. The pool area is small but clean and full of energy. The drinks were very watered down which is to be expected but still debatably good value. My only real complaint was that the wifi cut out a few days into the stay and did not come work for the rest of it, reception was aware and could not fix it and it meant I had a much higher charge on my mobile data when flying home than was expected, not ideal when I paid for a set amount of international data and only expected to use it when necessary outside the hotel. Overall, a stay like this was very much worth the price and would come again for a well located, pleasant hotel (granted they fix the wifi issue).
