5* Luxury equals ….
No welcome drink
Zero information about hotel or resort on check in..ie restaurants. Spa, pool, hairdressers. No opening, closing times or locations provided , not even directions to our room offered.
Given a double room when a twin was booked so back to reception to sort out.
Room was lovely, very clean, lovely view over the marina. Had tea/coffee facilities provided, but only free if you had two… anything beyond that you paid. Mini bar was well stocked but big bucks. Room service was outrageously overpriced. Two sandwiches and two vodkas = €75 !!!!
Breakfast tea/coffee facilities was served at your table but only if you were lucky enough to catch the servers attention.. Hot food was cold by the time you returned to your table
We had the misfortune to encounter the General Manager during our stay…. I work in a high end luxury store and let’s just say ‘people skills ’ is not his forte. On check out they tried to charge us over €300 for trips we didn’t take !
Overall we have stayed in more luxurious hotels than this that offered a lot more. Definitely will never return. The only 5* this hotel offers is to extract as much money from you as possible.

I stayed at this hotel recently and while there were a few highlights, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the 5-star label or the price point.
The best part of the stay was definitely the location—central and convenient for getting around. The pool area was also a standout: spacious, relaxing, and perfect for sunbathing.
However, the service and overall upkeep of the hotel were disappointing. Breakfast, in particular, was a letdown. It’s not that there weren’t options, but the cooked food was dry and practically inedible. There were no fresh choices (besides eggs), and surprisingly for a 5-star hotel, not even a fresh coffee was available—just basic machine coffee or coffee which was sent around the room so inevitably sitting in the jug for long periods making it undrinkable.
Housekeeping was another major issue. Toiletries weren’t replenished, dirty cups were left behind, towels were taken but not replaced, and requests to change the bedsheets were ignored. It really didn’t feel like any care or attention was put into the daily room cleaning. On top of that, the rooms themselves are showing their age and would really benefit from a refresh.
All in all, while there were enjoyable elements to the stay and the hotel was still lovely, the poor service and lack of basic standards made it feel far from the luxury experience it promised. Not worth the premium price in my opinion.

Been a few times before for 3 or 4 days stays and wasn’t great but this time it was much better. Staff on all on point, nice crowd of people. Good breakfast if you want it. Spa great. Glee still wonderful and Puro / Guess is still worth the extra in my opinion unless you have children of course.

This is a really nice hotel in a perfect location for bars and restaurants. The marina view rooms offer a lovey view during the day, but are quite noisy at night and into the small hours due to the music from the bars and drunk people returning at closing time. As a result, we moved to a sea view room which is much more peaceful but came at a cost of €120 for the week.
The pool is very clean and relaxing and the staff are so helpful and hardworking.
The food and drinks at the pool bar are a little expensive, but it offers a really nice place for an afternoon cocktail.
Overall. a fantastic hotel and well worth the money.

Thought I would update my review as I've stayed here a few times since my last review many years ago.
This is my go-to place when I come down to Vilamoura. It's central to the main strip of restaurants around the marina and backs onto the beach club. Everywhere is walkable from here, so you won't need your car, which can be parked securely during your stay. The entrance is quite nice, with lots of different entry/exit points to help you get in and out conveniently for a stroll. The pool area is vast with heaps of sun loungers, so you don't have to run to secure your spot, unless you want to be directly in front of the pool. The pool bar is well-stocked but definitely on the pricey side for both food and drinks. I guess it's the price you pay for convenience at such a nice location. The pool restaurant has some great options, but the buffet breakfast is kind of ordinary, to be honest. Expectations were higher for the price you pay. Overall, the rooms are great, clean, and somewhat spacious, although with so much to do, it’s really just a bed to sleep in most of the time.
