Loved it. From the moment we walked in the doors, we were treated so well. Check in was efficient and friendly. Our room was on the 5th floor but as the hotel is on a cliff, our floor was at street level, along with the reception, bar, restaurants etc. We had a beautiful room (502) with a huge balcony overlooking the cove and the pool area.
Breakfast was amazing. Could not fault it at all. Staff so friendly.
The bar serves food as well but the menu seemed limited. Same food each night. Again staff were brilliant.
They also have a "fancy" restaurant that you need to book in advance. The food here was incredible and the staff could not do enough for you.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in this wonderful hotel and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

For a five-star hotel, it is completely unacceptable that even after displaying the “Please Clean” sign, the room remained uncleaned for more than five hours. This alone deserves a one-star rating.
The hotel has beautiful views, and while some facilities are a bit outdated, they are still within an acceptable range. The breakfast room offers truly outstanding service—one staff member in particular, a gentleman around 59 years old, clearly loves his job and provides top-tier, professional service that genuinely enhances the guest experience. The rest of the service is generally fine.
However, the housekeeping service is extremely poor, and this single issue is serious enough to overshadow all other strengths of the hotel.
I went to the front desk at 14:30 to complain and requested that my room be cleaned. However, by 15:00 the room was still not cleaned. When I returned to the front desk, the staff member repeatedly insisted that housekeeping might work until 16:00. This is an unreasonable excuse. If rooms are only cleaned whenever housekeeping feels like it, then what is the purpose of hanging a “Please Clean” sign?
What made the situation even worse was her attitude. There was no acknowledgment of the mistake, no apology—only repeated claims that she had “already called” housekeeping.
This is extremely disappointing.
For a five-star hotel, this level of service is completely unacceptable and deserves a very, very poor rating.
What made the situation truly discouraging was the attitude and handling by the front desk staff. I was already very upset, yet instead of calming the guest, she repeatedly emphasized that some rooms are cleaned as late as 4 PM, and that she had “already called” housekeeping.
If displaying a “Please Clean” sign gives absolutely no priority and means nothing, then what is the purpose of providing it to guests? This is certainly not the standard of a five-star hotel.
At no point did she offer a single word of apology or acknowledge the issue. Instead, she continued to contradict the guest, which made the entire experience even more frustrating.
I hope her manager is made aware of this incident (she was working on the afternoon of November 19). I do not wish for her to lose her job, but someone must teach her what proper hospitality service looks like—because, as it stands, she is not suited for the role she is performing.

What an awesome few days in the Algarve. This is a great hotel and would highly recommend. The rooms are great and the pool area is nice, although i imagine it can get busy in peak season. Also a bit of a shame the private beach area is currently closed off.
We were well looked after and all the staff were excellent. We also happened to be there on my wifes birthday and we got cake and champagne delivered to the room and then a cake desert at dinner as well. They even sang happy birthday! Very spoiled.
All the restaurants were excellent and the breakfast is sooo good.
Didn't get to try the spa but the sauna was great, note you do need to book it.
Would definitely go back :)

We had an unforgettable stay at Tivoli Resort, thanks to the incredible customer service. I especially want to thank Mariana and Luminita at the guest service desk.
During our stay, I had a sudden health issue that required an emergency visit. Since we don’t speak Portuguese, Luminita immediately called multiple hospitals on my behalf, spending over an hour until she found a private hospital in Faro that could see me. She even lent me her personal phone so I could reach my insurance company in Canada.
The next day, when I needed a follow-up appointment, Mariana kindly helped me again by contacting the insurance company to make sure everything was approved. Later, when we checked out, we realized there was a mistake on our flight ticket. Mariana patiently contacted the airline and airport until the issue was solved.
The service here was beyond exceptional—every staff member we met was professional, patient, and truly guest-oriented. The resort itself is stunning, with the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen at a hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with high-quality food and even champagne to enjoy.
We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location right on the ocean. Lovely friendly staff. The breakfast is amazing! Any breakfast food you can imagine. Lords of parking. Close enough to walk in to the town of Carveio. We plan to come again next year. Obrigada for our wonderful stay
