This was our first all-inclusive holiday with my parents-in-law and our three young children, and overall we had a wonderful time.
Although the food selection wasn't extensive, the quality was consistently good, and we enjoyed every meal. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The location was quite convenient. The marina was only about a 5-minute drive away, and the Old Town could be reached in around 20 minutes, making it easy to explore the area.
The only areas that could be improved are the hotel facilities and overall cleanliness. Some parts of the property felt a little worn and could benefit from better maintenance and housekeeping.
Despite these minor issues, our whole family really enjoyed the holiday and created many wonderful memories together. We would definitely consider returning in the future.

We stayed at NAU São Rafael Suites for our wedding celebrations in October 2025 and hosted our wedding group there, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us and our guests. What really stood out was the level of care and attention to detail. They made sure every room had water and coffee and catered for more vegetarian options which was such a thoughtful touch and really appreciated by our friends and family.
The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was excellent throughout, and the whole team made us feel completely looked after during such an important time.
A very special thank you to Diogo and Deborah, who were both incredible. They were always helpful, attentive and genuinely wanted everything to run smoothly. Their support made a huge difference and helped make the whole experience feel stress-free and enjoyable.
We’re so grateful to the entire team at NAU São Rafael Suites for making our wedding celebrations so memorable. Our guests had an amazing time, and we will always look back on our stay with very happy memories. Thank you for going above and beyond for us! ❤️

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Nau São Rafael. The hotel has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind.
I stayed in a garden-facing room, which was exceptionally quiet and allowed me to enjoy a great night's sleep every night. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the bed – it was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options and high-quality products.
The location is another great advantage. São Rafael Beach is just a short walk away, making it very convenient to enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the area without needing a car.
As a suggestion for improvement, some of the room furniture could be updated to give the rooms a more modern feel, and having a microwave in the room would be a useful addition for guests.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, tranquillity, and a great location.

The hotel makes a good first impression. The entrance, bar, and dining areas are modern, attractive, and feel recently renovated. Unfortunately, the rooms do not match the standard of the public areas. They felt quite run down, with several things broken, and there were ants throughout the room.
Housekeeping was also disappointing. Towels were changed, but that was about it. Basic items such as toilet rolls were not consistently refilled, and we had to repeatedly chase staff to get them replaced.
Food was another major issue, especially for vegetarians and vegans. The available options were extremely limited. One evening we chose to eat at a local Indian restaurant, which turned out to be a good decision. When we returned and checked the dessert selection, there was still nothing suitable for a vegetarian to eat. If you are vegetarian or vegan, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere or planning to eat out for most meals.
Overall, the hotel was acceptable for a one-off stay, but I would not return and would not recommend it, particularly for vegetarian or vegan travellers.

This resort is misleading! My husband and I arrived here on July 27 and are staying here until August 2nd 2026. We check in and they inform us there are only two bars (one pool and one lobby)and one restaurant buffet. Its 8 pm, and my husband decides to get a drink at the lobby bar and to our surprise we are told he can only order straight alcohol, soft beverages, but CANNOT order cocktails/mixed drinks as that is not included in the standard all inclusive package. The only cocktail that he can get is a Caipirinha. I never encountered this in an all inclusive resort before. It states “national + non alcoholic” is available at the lobby. Before check in, we are guided that these are the hours of the bar and enjoy our stay we had paid over 2,000 euros to be told one cocktail is only available to order!?
I am pregnant and this is suppose to be my birthday week plus our baby moon celebration as we are expecting our first child our last vacation essentially and I am so sad to encounter this.
In all regards please SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BOOK TO STAY IN THIS “RESORT” because in reality is a Hotel! What 5 star resort have restriction to make a basic mojito? Here is an attachment to proof. Where does it state one drink only!?
