Beautiful resort song the cliffs with pine trees hence the name! Gorgeous facilities , so much to do! We came off season in January so had the place pretty much to ourselves with a few other guests. Breakfast buffet is amazing with the tastiest cappuccinos, paste de natas and croissants. Attentive servers and everyone was very caring Easy drive to downtown Albufeira which is about 15 mins west via local roads. Also central to the Algarve coast. Faro is only half an hour east and Lagos an hour west. They had a really nice indoor pool and hot tub with nice skylights and windows so it didn't feel like an indoor pool with the large skylights. Great place to stay. Only small complaint is the pillows were too soft and the lounge pianos were locked up. Why!? We love playing hotel pianos when we can) Also rooms were a bit dated. The TV's need to be updated, but.beds were very comfortable and rooms were quite spacious. Beautiful grounds too and all sorts of outdoor pools. View from the cliffs is absolutely gorgeous. Walking down on the beach (can.take stairs down or elevator) was so enjoyable. Breathtaking views)

This December, I visited Portugal for the first time in my life — and it was also the first time I ever saw the ocean.
As a happy owner of my own partnership program with a travel company, I decided to give myself a small gift and travel solo to Portugal.
I rented a car and easily reached the hotel. Parking in hotel is very convenient.
The hotel experience was excellent: very polite and attentive staff, a comfortable room, great conditions, always hot water, clean snow-white towels and bed linen, slippers, ironing board and iron, and a hairdryer in the room — everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The hotel’s location is absolutely stunning. I’m still deeply impressed by it. I truly loved Portugal in general, especially this area — Algarve. It turned out to be an amazing vacation.
The breakfasts were delicious, with a wide variety of fresh food. This is truly a five-star hotel — it deserves high praise and is definitely worth returning to.
I will certainly come back, and not alone next time. I would love to visit this place in summer, because I didn’t get the chance to swim in the ocean this time — so I believe that’s still ahead of me.

We had a two night stay here and it was wonderful from start to finish.
All the staff are very attentive at this property. The amenities are incredible - from the seven pools to the tennis courts to the kids club.
I wish we could’ve stayed longer. It really is a fabulous property. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are very spacious.
There is a huge amount of sun loungers so it’s never a struggle to find one. The panoramic cliff views and the beach is also really nice. Would stay here again.

I really liked the hotel. Only one unpleasant problem with payment! Be careful! I described:
The property has a beautiful, large garden and is located above a beach with impressive cliffs. You can access the beach by elevator or stairs. The elevator requires a room key card, but unfortunately our card didn’t work, and neither did another guest’s at the same time. It’s unclear why this restriction exists, as the beach can still be accessed on foot and there is no security control.
The breakfast was excellent — honestly the best we had among all the hotels we stayed at in Portugal. A wide variety of eggs, cheeses, fresh vegetables, pastries, fruits, juices, smoothies, and very good coffee.
The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the area is quiet at night, the mattresses are comfortable, and there is plenty of free parking. There are several restaurants on the hotel grounds and the food is good. You can also drive about 10 minutes to nearby beaches and enjoy walks along the ocean cliffs.
The only thing that felt strange for a 5-star hotel was the absence of slippers and bathrobes in the room.
Unfortunately, the payment system seriously affected my overall impression.
I prepaid €344 when booking online. At check-in, despite confirming that the room was already paid, the manager charged an additional €95 deposit for a minibar, even though there was no minibar in my apartment. At the same time, another €364 was charged. My bank confirmed that these were three actual charges, not pre-authorizations. As a result, I paid for the same room three times and was overcharged by €439.
The next day, another manager said the charges should not have happened and told me a refund was processed. I stayed on December 23, but the money was never returned.
On my return trip, I stayed at the hotel again and asked them to make sure no extra charges were taken. A different manager handled my check-in and again charged additional money — this time €75.
In total, €514 has still not been refunded after two weeks.
It feels like there is no clear or consistent payment procedure among the staff. The system is not transparent, especially for guests using debit cards. If the full amount is charged at booking, it should not be charged again on arrival, and deposits should be clearly justified.
Please be very careful if you are paying with a debit card. I strongly recommend asking the hotel to send a payment link instead of allowing card charges at check-in. Otherwise, you may have to wait a long time for a refund.

I visited the Resort in 2017 and I loved it. This second time, in August 2025, felt like a disappointment.
We reserved a 2-floor room in the Resort with our 1-year-old baby for 5 nights. The room was very poorly maintained: stains on all pieces of furniture, sticky remote controllers, holes in the tiled floor, black marks all over the walls.
Despite immediately raising the matter with the staff - also showing them the pictures enclosed - it took 48 hours to be taken seriously. Multiple times I was promised to be provided updates on potential solutions and multiple times the staff forgot to contact me.
For the last three nights, we were moved to a room in the Ocean Suites which is definitely newer. This was appreciated despite having to pack and unpack again. However there were works being performed on our floor, so this was frequently dirty and noisy.
The worst part was when, at checkout, rather than being offered any discount to make up for the bad experience, I was asked for double payments for the last three nights - both for the room at Ocean Suites and the original one at the Resort!!!!
All in all, the village is great, the restaurants are nice, all the services offered are great (albeit everything comes with an additional price, like tennis courts, which is unheard of in 5* hotels), and this is an amazing place for families. I will potentially come back eventually. But you need to be aware that some rooms are very poorly maintained and that the staff does not live up to the expectations of a Luxury Collection, >600€ per night hotel.
