My family recently spent 5 nights at the Hard Rock hotel and have nothing but positive things to say. Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond to make us feel welcome & at ease during our family vacation. The proximity to Universal, complimentary shuttle services, and the added express passes were very beneficial to us, and our kids loved getting to end their days by swimming in the pool where they show nightly movies. The grab and go breakfast & coffee options made getting fueled up to enter the parks for early access a breeze. We would definitely stay here again!

Our recent stay at Hard Rock Hotel was awesome! We had a deluxe 2-queen room and it was spacious and comfortable for our group of 3 adults/2 kids. The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. Our server at The Kitchen was wonderful - helpful, friendly and entertaining. The boat to the parks (and bus to Epic Universe) was very convenient and the unlimited express passes were a game changer in getting on all our favorite rides. If anything additional was needed (i.e. fresh towels) utilizing the text communication was very convenient and response was very timely. We would definitely stay here again!

A special thank you to D-Andre, who helped us right when we arrived and managed to arrange our room with early access. That made a huge difference after a long trip, bringing comfort and peace of mind to our family. His attitude was attentive, proactive, and truly professional.
Experiences like this show the real standard of Hard Rock — it’s not only about the structure, but about people who genuinely care about guests. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it.

We stayed one night to take advantage of the 2 days of express passes, and that alone was worth the nightly rate! The beds are so so comfortable. I had an amazing sleep! The Marketplace was tasty and manageable (not too big or overwhelming). Our pizza we ordered was delicious.
At checkin, the front desk was kind and welcoming and gave us our room several hours early. Thank you! But I didnt receive and info about dining, activites or a map. This provided some frustration during our stay because I think the hotel is a little confusing to navigate. The parking is separated from the main building by a large set of stairs, and I never saw an elevator to get to it. Getting the luggage inside as a single adult with 2 kids was overwhelming. Also, I was not prepared for how long the room hallways were! I got lost getting to my room because I couldn’t believe I was still going the right way. Overall, Id consider a stay here again, but I would definitely ask more questions at the front desk to make sure I knew how to get around!

Location Location Location— We stay almost every year at Portofino bay which finally now after some construction is much better and you can actually get a view vs a blacked out window and view of scaffolding. This year though we chose to mix it up and do the Hard Rock simply for its proximity to the park. Now Portofino and Hard Rock are really two massively different experiences. Portofino is transporting and makes you feel like your in Italy or a theme park version at least.. while Hard Rock feels like a fairly standard large hotel/ resort. The rooms were ok, we stayed in a club room which gives you access to food snacks and free drinks..it was very underwhelming. The club room is very small and the options incredibly limited. I wouldnt pay the pretty big upcharge for club level for just these amenities again.
The hotel room was fine, dated feeling tub shower, but all the standard things you may need in the room. House keeping was excellent and very accommodating.
The Pool was the star of the show in my eyes, my kids loved the pool and water slide and what a fantastic place to decompress after a day at the parks.
Overall its a very good hotel, 5 min walk to Studios, 10 to Islands of Adventure, excellent pool, easy to navigate hotel, good food on property. I would happily stay here again.
