We have stayed at the Swiss Inn Hurgada on many occasions, yes, there is some improvement work going on, but for the better future of the hotel. If there is nothing you like about the food, there must be something wrong. We have always found something, if not in the buffet restaurant, there are several choices with the al-a-cart restaurants. Just because it doesn't suit you, does not mean there is no choices.
The staff are lovely, polite and always accommodating. The rooms are spotless, there beds very comfortable and quality linen, the towels are huge and quality toiletries, if you haven't got what you want, you only have to ask.
The hotel is improving everytime we visit, the pool bar has been modernized, the spa has been fully restored and is beautiful and modern, the new water feature is amazing, everything done in the most beautiful marble
We love this place, it's like a home from home to us, and we will visit many times more

TLDR: This shouldn't be advertised as a 5 star hotel. We had a chance to talk to people and staff that came here multiple times already and from their impressions the quality is seemingly dipping as the years go by. The management seems to be generally aware of the issues and complaints but don't seem to care by the responses we received from them.
The posted videos will be references throughout the review.
For reference this is not my first time in an Egypt all inclusive resort so this review compares this resort with other resorts I've visited in the similar price range.
Will start off with the positives stuff:
-The resort is near the airport and is located at the start of the Memsha promenade which is the newer tourist center in Hurghada.
-The premium rooms are spacious with good air conditioning.
-Multiple A la carte restaurants free of charge that you can visit as many times as you like.
-The shore of the beach is a bit crowded but has enough sunbeds for everyone. The swimming area is really spacious compared to other hotels.
And now the negative stuff:
Rooms: The rooms are pretty dirty and prone to ants. It seems as if the bare minimum is being done when it comes to hygiene in this resort. Cleaners would forget to change towels and refill the bathroom accessories such as shower gels, soap, etc... In the posted videos you can see ants in multiple areas which were not cleaned throughout the entire trip.
Food and drinks: The food quality is quite below average which was quite shocking for a 5 star hotel. I am in no way a picky eater but the variety was literally non-existent. The food itself is bland and not up to par for a 5 star hotel. The only saving grace was that you had multiple A la carte restaurants at your disposal. The portions are generally quite small in every A la carte restaurant but the BBQ restaurant left the best impression.
The drinks they make at the pool and beach bars are very underwhelming. The only bar that had decent drinks was the main lobby one.
Hygiene: As mentioned, the hygiene is not up to par with what you'd expect. Food and hygiene quality doesn't seem to be appropriate as I wasn't the only one that got stomach problems during the trip. For reference, this isn't my first time in Egypt.
In the posted videos you can see how hygienic the main entrance doors are.
Resort pharmacy: In Egypt you are expected to haggle but you shouldn't expect to get absolutely scammed by the resorts pharmacy. They tried to charge us 8 euros for TWO strips of tablets. For reference, you'd pay 1 euro for those two strips of tablets at the pharmacy across the street. On top of trying to scam people in need, they were quite unpleasant to deal with.

Avoid this hotel if you don’t want to get tricked into paying for things you never asked for.
Our tour agent booked this hotel for us, and from the start it wasn’t great. The first night we couldn’t sleep because of loud music from a party that went on until 11pm. The agent had to move us to another building just so we could rest.
The real problem started the next day at dinner. Since it was our anniversary, our tour agent kindly arranged a special dinner for us. When we arrived at the BBQ restaurant, the table was decorated and a bottle of wine was already waiting. The waiter explained the “celebration” would include wine, kebabs, cake, and then champagne delivered to our room. We assumed this was arranged by our agent as part of the celebration since we never asked for it.
After dinner, the waiter brought what looked like a memo pad—not a bill—and told me it was just for delivering the champagne to the room. I wrote down my name and room number, accidentally wrote the wrong number first, and when I corrected it he asked me to initial beside the error. Later, we found out they were treating this as if I had signed a bill—something I was never told.
When I went to reception to replace a misplaced key, the staff suddenly brought up this “bill” for wine and champagne, saying we had to pay. I explained we don’t drink and never requested alcohol, and that we thought it was arranged by our travel agent. Still, the receptionist (Mohamed), who falsely claimed to be the manager, was extremely rude and insisted we pay. Even after our travel agency’s manager contacted the hotel to confirm it wasn’t arranged through them, the hotel continued to play dumb and push the charge on us.
The money isn’t the issue—the issue is being tricked and treated dishonestly. If this is how you handle guests, especially those here to celebrate a special occasion, you are doing it very wrong. It’s a shame because some staff were genuinely nice, but the greed and rudeness of others completely ruined our experience.
Edit: The meeting with Assistant General Manager was highly unprofessional and left us with an even more negative impression of Swiss Inn Hurghada. I sent an email to general manager and corporate 3 days ago but no response yet. That tells me that they don’t care customers opinion.

Our stay at this hotel was truly fantastic. Everything was spotlessly clean, the rooms were cleaned daily, and every corner of the hotel radiated neatness and a pleasant atmosphere.
The staff were exceptionally kind, always smiling, and ready to help in any situation. Their professionalism and warmth made us feel truly welcome. I would especially like to highlight the team at the Lebanon restaurant – the food was excellent and absolutely delicious. Their service was outstanding, and the care and attentiveness they showed made every meal a special and enjoyable experience.
A big compliment also goes to the entire animation team. All the activities were well designed and carried out with great energy, and enthusiasm. The animators were approachable, cheerful, and always eager to involve the guests.
The hotel and staff were great and worthy of every recommendation.

This was our third time coming to Hurghada. The staff is very friendly, especially those who work on the beach. They are smiling and friendly all the time, and they are in the sun all day long.
What is our personal complaint is the fact that our wristbands were taken off the second we checked out, and the van to the airport was coming to pick us up in 6-7 hours, and thus we lost the benefits we paid for!
This did not happen to us the previous two times at Sunrise Garden!!!
If we paid for our arrangement by 2.11, then it is unbelievable that the bracelets are taken off at noon on 1.11. I understand that rooms have to be vacated at a certain time, and that's fine, but this is not it! First of all, because the agency said that no one in the hotel had to remove their wristband when checking out!!
According to the words from the reception, we should have paid an ADDITIONAL 10 euros per hour, and in that way we would have irritated the room and therefore the bracelets with which we provide all inclusive services! Let's be clear, it's not a matter of one coffee or a bottle of water at all, but in principle!
Advice to the management - look at how other hotels do business, because I say again that in Sunrise Garden we did not have this inconvenience both times and everything was as it should be from their side until we left!
