Definately not a 5 star hotel. Terrible experience here. On arrival we were left to wait in the lobby for over two hours without no drink or food offered to us. Ahmed at reception is rude and abrupt and does not care for guests. Most the staff at this resort are rude and angry. If they’re not getting tipped they treat you with disrespect. Ruined our Egypt experience for me and my two boys who very excited to go. Also there were 8 of us who went and about 5 of us suffered with a bad belly lasting around two weeks. Rooms are very old fashioned didn’t even have a head board to my bed. Drinks at the hotel were the worst I ever had. Overall this has got to be the worst hotel I have been to in the last 7 years of travelling.

I think a lot of the reviews are unfair. This place is not expensive and you get what you pay for. The rooms need upgrading yes, but everywhere is very clean, the food is good and varied every day, always pasta, potatoes, salad etc if you are a fussy eater. The staff have all been fantastic except the guy who showed us our rooms. Reception is good, quick to check in, helpful, provide a really good packed lunch if you need one. The staff do not insist on tips but are grateful if you do tip. Local alcohol is not amazing, but the price of the holiday is low so I do not think you can complain, and you can pay extra for branded if you like. There are bars you have to pay extra to get into, but most you don't. Be careful booking tours within the hotel, we had a mixed experience, one (orange bay) was wonderful, the other (the pyramids) was the worst trip ever. My advice would be, if you want to see the pyramids, either fly or take a private tour. I think if you want a good hotel that is clean and has a nice pool area, you cannot go wrong here. If you expect a kings holiday, for a cheap price, expect to be disappointed. We certainly were not.

Spacious with very well tendered gardens, beautifully kept. Room staff friendly, food amazing so much choice, friendly chefs. Coffee bar Mumtaz. Entertainment, not why i was there, saw once felt a bit embarrassed as no one watching, dancers tried hard, room a bit grim.
I would have given another star rating but the night manager shouted across reception that my friend and I had broken the toilet! Ignorred as did not think he was shouting at us. After he shouted again, much to our horror and embarrasment we went over to him and he then accused us of smashing a window!! ( We never touched the window) We had to leave our group ( waiting to go on a Nile cruise) to look at the 'damage' There was a tiny crack in the window which we did not see as did not open the bathroom window. This man was unfriendly, unprofessional and a poor representative of the hotel! Not good at all, other witnesses in our group were disgusted. On returning after our Nile cruise, there wete locks falling off so made sure staff wete aware so we would not be wrongly accused. This actually tainted our holiday.
Thank you to Karim, the lovely lady on reception and other reception staff for being helpful. They advised us, this man must have been the night manager. It happened on the very early morning of 10 Jan,
There were a few snags with the room, aircon didnt work but overall not a bad stay.

very low budget hotel. cleanliness at a very low level. drinks are served in plastic disposable glasses. All inclusive only includes cheap alcohol that tastes terrible and beer. if you want normal alcohol, buy it. the beach bar is without straw umbrellas and the sun chairs ar old and dirty. Italian restaurant pizza is not eatable. All party’s is for fee. Not All Inclusive.

Review – Royal Lagoons Resort
Our stay at the Royal Lagoons Resort was generally pleasant, with clear positives and some drawbacks.
The staff deserve a big compliment: everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. This truly made our stay more enjoyable ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
The food was good and more than sufficient. The desserts were a real highlight, with a very wide variety and plenty of choice ⭐⭐⭐⭐.
The Italian restaurant, however, was disappointing. The food was mediocre and not the best dining option within the resort ⭐⭐⭐.
The swimming pools are excellent: clean, spacious, and suitable for both relaxation and fun ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
The sauna and massage facilities are highly recommended; a perfect place to relax and enjoy high-quality treatments ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
The entertainment was well organized and enjoyable, both during the day and in the evenings.
A major downside was the large number of Russian guests. Many were loud, socially unfriendly, and would take sunbeds without asking, which caused irritation at times.
