Very nice hotel, with a very beautiful view. The hotel has a lagoon and coral reefs where you can snorkel and see very beautiful fish.
The food is very good and varied. There are several restaurants, including a terrace on the seashore where you can eat.
The rooms are nice and clean.
There are also several activities during the day, and the animation team together with the DJ keep the activities with a nice vibe. There are shows every night with a different theme, and afterwards a party with good music.

I recently stayed at Pickalbatros Citadel Resort, and while the views and lagoons are truly breathtaking, the food and service experience were very disappointing.
The overall food quality felt below average, with very limited variety across the meals. There were no natural or freshly squeezed juices available — only bottled, non-fresh options. I also tried the pizza station, but the pizza was extremely thin and the toppings, like the mushrooms, were clearly not fresh and tasted like canned ingredients.
Desserts were also underwhelming. In most restaurants, the options were very basic — mostly simple gateaux, a few fruits and a couple of additional items, but nothing special or memorable.
In addition to the food, I was very disappointed by a service-related incident. My wife, who is pregnant, was walking up a flight of stairs when four men — who appeared to be hotel staff — were coming down. Instead of giving her space or waiting a moment for her to pass safely, they continued down and she had to step aside for them. This was extremely disrespectful and unacceptable, especially towards a pregnant guest.
If you are visiting purely for the scenery and have no expectations regarding food, then you may still enjoy the place because the resort itself is visually stunning.
However, if food quality is important to you, or if you have high expectations for buffet variety and taste, I would strongly discourage staying here. The culinary experience simply does not match the resort’s beautiful setting.

Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet our expectations, especially considering the high price. Our experience was disappointing from the very first day, already while waiting for check-in.
We arrived around 9 AM. A staff member told us to have breakfast and come back around 10 AM, as an early check-in might be possible. After breakfast and a short walk, we returned to the lobby at 10 AM, only to be told to wait again. While waiting, one of the receptionists approached us and explained that there was a problem: someone’s flight had been delayed to the next day, the hotel was overbooked, and they asked if we would agree to stay in another hotel for one night with some compensation. We refused because we were exhausted after not sleeping all night, my husband was having issues with his leg and had difficulty walking, and ultimately we had specifically chosen this hotel.
The first employee understood our situation and said it was fine, but about 10 minutes later another staff member came up to us and started raising his voice, saying we were being unreasonable and asking what they were supposed to do in such a situation. We felt guilty, uncomfortable, and very unwelcome. In the end, we received our room only around 1 PM, even though several people who arrived after us were checked in much earlier. It really felt like a form of “punishment.”
The room itself was spacious and large, but lacked sufficient lighting and power outlets. The air conditioner was extremely loud, so we could not keep it on during the night.
Another issue is the enormous size of the territory. You get tired just walking anywhere — there are stairs and steps everywhere. There are shuttle buses, but they run every 10 minutes, so most of the time it’s faster to walk. The pool areas are nice, the water is warm, and each pool has a nearby bar. However, if you are lying by the beach, you have to walk quite far to reach a bar or a shower. The coral reef is very beautiful and long, but again, it takes a long and boring swim to reach it. It is unclear why there are no piers.
The restaurants were a big plus — a wide variety, fresh and tasty food everywhere. We especially loved the beachfront pizzeria where they bake fresh pizzas to your liking. Unfortunately, the cocktail selection was disappointing: basically only mojito and piña colada. Definitely not what we expected.
We were also very frustrated that the hotel intentionally blocks the Uber app, forcing guests to use the hotel’s taxi service. A return taxi to the city market costs €45, while Uber would cost around €10 for the same trip.
Aside from the reception, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The animation team was nice too, although their activities felt somewhat weak and perhaps too few for such a large resort.
Overall, despite some positive aspects, our stay was overshadowed by poor organization, the unpleasant check-in experience, overpriced services, and the massive, inconvenient territory. For the price, we expected a much better experience.

An unforgettable family vacation in a true paradise! Pickalbatros Citadel Resort impressed us from the very first moment – stunning architecture, breathtaking sea views, and a luxurious yet relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and always ready to help.
The beach in front of the hotel is simply amazing – long, well-maintained, and with crystal-clear water. The highlight is the beautiful coral reef right by the shore – perfect for snorkeling and exploring the colorful marine life. For children, there are shallow lagoons and safe swimming areas, making it ideal for families.
The food was excellent – a wide variety of delicious dishes and themed dinners in stylish restaurants. The bars offer great drinks and top-notch service.
Evenings were full of fun with lively animation shows, live music, and entertainment for both kids and adults. The animation team deserves special praise – they create a joyful and friendly atmosphere every night.
We spent several unforgettable days with our family and would definitely love to return. The hotel offers everything you could wish for – luxury, comfort, great service, and breathtaking beauty. A truly perfect place to relax and recharge! 🌴🌊

We were not at all satisfied with our stay.
Let’s start with the positive points: the location is beautiful, and the bar and restaurant staff are courteous, while the reception staff are not.
Upon our arrival, we were taken to a room with one double bed, even though I had booked a room for three people. My aunt had to sleep on the sofa the first night because no additional bed had been prepared for her. Only the following day was an extra bed brought in, and sheets were arranged on the sofa to make it more comfortable.
The room also had several issues: the ceiling in the shower was peeling (I have photos), the sink was dirty, and the floor had not been properly cleaned. More than once, housekeeping forgot to leave the bath mat and the shower towels, which we had to request repeatedly, even leaving a tip.
This was our second visit to the resort, and what happened truly shocked us. While we were walking toward the beach, chairs were thrown down from the upper floor by some workers, falling extremely close to us. Had they hit us, we could have been seriously injured. Although they apologized, such an incident is absolutely unacceptable.
Additionally, I had booked an Uber and, despite providing my room number, name, and the vehicle’s details, the driver was not allowed to enter.
I understand that you claim there are “issues” with external taxis, and I also understand that you may prefer guests to use the resort’s transportation service, even though it costs four times more than a regular taxi. However, this attitude does not solve the problem; on the contrary, it pushes us even more toward using external services.
On top of that, the staff persistently and annoyingly pressured us to book their taxi: rude attitudes, unfriendly looks, and comments in Arabic that we could not understand. We found this behavior extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
Finally, my mother and my aunt were using the jacuzzi, and when they stepped away for a moment, the employee responsible for the area did not even wait for them to return. He immediately shut everything off, causing water to spill everywhere.
Considering that we each spent more than €700, I do not consider this to be the level of service expected from a five-star resort.
