The place is truly wonderful, so beautiful that you feel like you are in a dream. I visited it during Christmas time, and the decorations were splendid. The resort has everything you could think of: rooms with an amazing view, hot water pools of different sizes, a gym, lots of restaurants with delicious food, and vehicles you can get in to move around. My time there was amazing, and I can't imagine any other place I'd rather stay in Hurghada. I only had trouble with the Wi-Fi connection, which didn't work properly in buildings 7 or 8, but it was very good in the buildings closer to the reception. In general, it was a wonderful experience, and the staff was very kind. I would definitely recommend it.

First of all, I would not recommend this hotel due to the lack of respect and professionalism shown to guests.
We stayed for one night. At check-in, the reception staff actively upgraded the room for us. I appreciated it.
However, about one hour later, we received a phone call and were asked to leave the upgraded room and move to another one.
The reason given was that “the air conditioner was broken”, but everything in the room was functioning perfectly well. We had no real choice but to accept the change, as it was made very clear that the decision was not negotiable.
Later that night, when I passed by the corridor around midnight, I noticed that the same room we were asked to leave was lit and occupied by other guests. This made the explanation we were given very questionable.
I do not want to use aggressive language or make personal attacks. However, basic respect and honesty are essential when running a hospitality business. Unfortunately, we did not feel respected as guests, and as two young Asian students, the experience left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reflects on how guests are treated, because service quality is not only about facilities, but about attitude and respect.
Transparency and consistency in room allocation are basic expectations for any 5-star resort.

I really liked everything!!! The hotel is large and incredibly beautiful, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. All the rooms have a sea view! The sea is gorgeous! There is plenty of space for everyone! I saw that the staff is constantly working, wiping the parapets and floors, and taking care of the hotel's appearance. The view from my room, room 2211, is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much. The waiters in all the restaurants are exceptional, and their genuine smiles and desire to make your stay comfortable are truly appreciated. The service was excellent, and any requests were fulfilled immediately. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you again, and I would love to come back to your hotel!

The hotel boasts a truly stunning view, with a beautiful beach and architecture. Although the room facilities are somewhat dated, this did not significantly detract from our overall travel experience. The dining options were plentiful and satisfying. However, we encountered a particularly rude and unfriendly front desk staff member, which greatly affected our stay.
Upon check-in, he failed to provide a proper introduction to the hotel. When we asked whether two rooms could be arranged with double beds, he responded impatiently that it was not possible. Later that night, around 11 p.m., as we were preparing to return to our room, a security guard at the entrance initially told us the shuttle would arrive in five minutes. After five minutes, he said it would take ten more. After waiting for twenty minutes, we approached the guard again to inquire about the shuttle's estimated arrival time, and he directed us to ask the front desk for further assistance.
At this point, my impression of the hotel plummeted. The same impolite front desk employee told me impatiently, “You just have to wait.” I replied that I had already waited for 25 minutes and asked if he could provide a specific time for the shuttle's arrival—if it would take much longer, we would prefer to walk back. He responded, “I can’t call; the shuttle doesn’t have a phone.” I asked, “Doesn’t the driver have a phone? Can you check?” He replied dismissively, “I told you, there’s no way to contact them.” By then, we had waited 35 minutes for the shuttle. I was particularly upset because the hotel brochure and their own claims state that the shuttle arrives every 10–15 minutes.
I took out my phone and took a photo of him, intending to file a complaint later. What happened next was dramatic—he rushed over aggressively and demanded that I delete the photo. I asked why, questioning whether guests did not have the right to take photos in the hotel’s public areas. He claimed I had captured his face and threatened to call the police to have me arrested. By then, we were heading toward the entrance, yet he left his post during working hours while other guests were waiting to check in. At midnight, he was the only staff member on duty.
I am willing to delete the photo, but such behavior from an employee is utterly unacceptable in a hotel of this caliber and beauty.

I recently stayed at Pickalbatros Citadel Resort, and while the views and lagoons are truly breathtaking, the food and service experience were very disappointing.
The overall food quality felt below average, with very limited variety across the meals. There were no natural or freshly squeezed juices available — only bottled, non-fresh options. I also tried the pizza station, but the pizza was extremely thin and the toppings, like the mushrooms, were clearly not fresh and tasted like canned ingredients.
Desserts were also underwhelming. In most restaurants, the options were very basic — mostly simple gateaux, a few fruits and a couple of additional items, but nothing special or memorable.
In addition to the food, I was very disappointed by a service-related incident. My wife, who is pregnant, was walking up a flight of stairs when four men — who appeared to be hotel staff — were coming down. Instead of giving her space or waiting a moment for her to pass safely, they continued down and she had to step aside for them. This was extremely disrespectful and unacceptable, especially towards a pregnant guest.
If you are visiting purely for the scenery and have no expectations regarding food, then you may still enjoy the place because the resort itself is visually stunning.
However, if food quality is important to you, or if you have high expectations for buffet variety and taste, I would strongly discourage staying here. The culinary experience simply does not match the resort’s beautiful setting.
