Fabulous stay!!
We were really nervous reading the reviews before going and couldn't have been more relieved when we arrived. Fast and simple check in. Spacious room and balcony with beautiful views of the mountains.
Both the adults and kids pool was larger than expected
We didn't use the kids club or bar for the entertainment so I can't comment on these areas. Snack bar had burger chips and other fast foods. The main dinner area had a good variety so even picky eaters myself and my son were able to find foods we enjoyed
Spotless throughout the hotel with cleaners constantly busy at work. Someone wrote a really negative review about cracked tiles etc which is all general upkeep which I imagine is difficult to do during peak season. The same people are just going to complain if any work is going on during their stay.
If you want 5* service on 3* budget you won't be happy.
If you're happy in 3* like friendly service good location, comfy nights sleep, good food and a bargain! This place is for you. 1 week was NOT long enough.

This resort is older than some of the new ones nearby, I only mention this because, obviously, older buildings need more maintenance which management had clearly organised as it remained clean with a fresh coat of paint. The food was quite nice (I went back for seconds and thirds 😋🙈.) It was cleaned thoroughly in the mornings, rooms every two days. No AC in the rooms, but you get used to that quite quickly, as the ceiling fans were a great substitute. The pool was much larger than expected and had incredible views of the mountains, especially in the morning and evening with the mist framing the mountains which is visible from the poolside. A variety of snacks and drinks are available throughout the day in case you get peckish. Overall, as a budget holiday, this place is excellent. You get a lot for your money here.
They have a restaurant with beautiful views of the sea, bar, pool, pool bar, pool snacks kiosk, and the beach is only a 5 min walk from resort.
The staff were really friendly as well, quick to solve any problems and both professional and courteous. Definitely worth the money they charge.
It's a 3-star resort, but I would say 3 going on 4 star, based on the value for money.

We were with my family at Laguna Park1 in July 2025. On the first day we were surprised that cockroaches were everywhere down at the reception, in the rooms and outside. Just everywhere in the room. I saw one very big cockroach on the first day and we arrived from the airport at 10:00 PM. In the morning, three smaller cockroaches in the bathroom. That morning, my daughter woke up all swollen. I was going crazy. I thought it was some kind of allergy, but it was bed bugs. They bit her so much that she got an infection. We immediately went to the doctor for an examination. She was given antibiotics and ointment. It was supposed to be our best vacation ever, but everything turned into a horror. We cried a lot because it was unbelievable. My husband and I were bitten, but only about 5 times, but my daughter had about 80 bites. The receptionist didn't know what to do about what happened. They gave us a new room where we found bed bugs right when we entered the bedroom. It was a nightmare, but we had to stay there. We had nowhere to go. In the morning, we went to the doctor. back to the reception they paid us cash for the doctor and the medicines we contacted on the beach and we sent them photos and videos by email in two days they gave us a refund and we went to another hotel but it ruined our holiday because we couldn't swim in the pool and it was terribly hot the food was terrible hair everywhere we had to be careful and check everything the food was sometimes good and sometimes very bad and the pools were terrible but it is interesting that everyone who was accommodated there had no problem and was not bitten

Terrible Experience – Likely Bed Bugs & Rude Staff
This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. I was bitten multiple times during my stay, and at the time I thought it might be mosquito bites. After returning home, I found out the marks were consistent with bed bug bites.
I didn’t report it while I was there because I wasn’t sure what it was, but honestly, the staff were so rude and dismissive that I doubt it would’ve made a difference. The overall attitude from the team was cold and unwelcoming.
There’s no sense of hospitality here—just unpleasant service and poor hygiene standards. Definitely would not recommend this hotel

We enjoyed this Laguna Park 1 and we have stayed at plenty of high end hotels, but reading the bad reviews have driven me to write this very long, super review! It really depends what you end up paying: for context, we paid £2500 for a family of 4, 2 adults 2 kids in April during the school holidays, JET2 holiday package and that was a private transfer too. Stayed in C block 106, which must have had a refurb, as the room was newly furnished. We don’t watch TV when on holiday, so I’ve no idea about the remote issue some reviews mention. It was substantially lower cost than most places, we booked about 3 days before as we always watch the weather and go wherever looking nicest!
There really is an army of cleaners, quoting a previous review, I have never seen a team work so hard and clean so much area while smiling and laughing. This happened every single morning, with a deep clean on the actual sunbeds some mornings, the pool area is cleaned rigorously everyday. One review mentioned the noise made by cleaners, I didn’t experience this, was just thrilled with the level of hygiene. I saw one cockroach, also, they are insects, it is fairly normal in the Canaries, that’s just a reality. There was a 2 day employee strike on when we were there but the hotel was fully functional; I hope they have great terms and conditions, the whole team there are superb.
All staff extremely friendly, restaurant, bar, cleaners, reception. Wonderful people, fantastic, impressive English skills ♥️
Perhaps we were lucky; there were no guests drinking excessively while we were there etc. we are not bothered that all inclusive stops at 11PM; we’re in bed to enjoy the next day of pool fun. Plus, we don’t really do the entertainment in hotels and tend to walk about the local area in the evening, though there was something on in the hotel bar, every night when we came back.
No stress of trying to get a sunbed, although plenty of people do still reserve them with towels, despite lifeguards asking them everyday not to. Main thing is that the pool is large, there is lots of space and plenty of loungers, so you are never without, no matter what the time, so that was great. I thought the pool was a lovely temp to cool off after a hot day and our kids spent the entire day in it.
We loved that the restaurant was smaller and less choice, still changed every night and you always got a table immediately, not queuing to get seated all the time like in larger all inclusives, because people at Laguna 1 eat and then leave, rather than sit there for hours, sampling all sorts.
The food was more than decent, salads very tasty and a good range for everyone at every sitting. We all really enjoyed the food and ate out usually in the evening, after filling our fussy kids up on the stuff they liked, quickly on all inclusive in the restaurant, but some evenings the food would be so tasty we would end up eating too much before our meal, because it was really nice. The staff in there are fabulous, I cannot express that enough. We like that people cannot walk in wearing swimwear and PJs; it’s a restaurant and a good policy.
The only cons for me were:
1. The water tank for shower was small, so you had to be fairly quick in a succession of 4 showers or have a small wait between showers. It wasn’t a problem, it’s was very hot, so a cool shower actually lovely, wasn’t freezing, just not much above luke.
2. Sunbeds are not reclinable; I mean this is me being ridiculously precious, I would not want them to put all those beds in a landfill to replace, if given the option.
3. Too much use of paper cups, better than plastic at least, but would be brilliant if some kind of durable reusable cup system could be implemented for all inclusive guests, or perhaps encouragement for people to buy their own, or even have them there available to buy.
I was worried about the holiday after delving into reviews here. I shouldn’t have, I would 100% go back, should the weather take us to Tenerife next year. Thank you Laguna park 1 team; you were awesome 🤩
