A good-looking, lively resort that offers decent value for money, but with some clear limitations.
What we liked:
The resort itself is very attractive and well laid out, with a fun, energetic atmosphere. The animation team and evening shows were genuinely entertaining, and the restaurants had a nice “date night” feel. Housekeeping was thoughtful, and the wait staff were warm and friendly throughout our stay. Beachside snack options were also enjoyable.
What let it down:
There was a noticeable upselling culture that at times felt uncomfortable. One excursion in particular was disappointing — we were promised a dolphin experience, then upsold to a private boat, and once onboard were pressured to pay more mid-trip. This was stressful, especially as I was heavily pregnant.
There were also quite a few paid extras for an all-inclusive resort: mini-bar snacks, online payment for à la carte restaurants, spa access, limited fresh juices, and one all-inclusive restaurant closed during our stay. Rooms and toiletries felt basic compared to similar resorts.
Overall:
Jaz Aquamarine isn’t a bad resort — it’s lively, visually pleasing, and cheaper than many alternatives — but the experience feels a little transactional. You’re often aware of what isn’t included.

Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for both relaxation and fun. A huge highlight were the animations – full of energy, joy, and professionalism. The best animator was definitely Zuzia, who brought so much positive energy and made every activity unforgettable. Highly recommended, and we would love to come back again!🩷

The food is absolutely amazing so many different options and all so yummy. A wide range of drinks for coffee to cocktails, juice wine and anything you could want. The animals team are amazing and really made our holiday with the different activities they run daily, the evening shows and dance floor in the evenings. Their high energy and positive attitude is reflected in the work and you can tell they love what they do which makes you want to talk and get to know them more. All the staff are so friendly and willing to help with everything. They feel like family especially when they remen your name and joke around. The rooms are beautiful so spacious and so clean the view of the beach from the room is unmatched. Would 100% recommend this home away from home.

Very Disappointing Stay – Unfriendly Staff, Overpricing, and Lack of Basic Care
Our stay at Jazz Aquamarine Hotel in Sahl Hasheesh was extremely disappointing and far below expectations.
First and foremost, the staff were consistently unfriendly and, in many situations, outright rude. Clear communication was lacking throughout our stay, especially regarding restaurant opening times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were given incorrect and conflicting information multiple times, which caused unnecessary frustration. It was also very apparent that the way guests were treated depended on nationality — as Egyptians, we felt clearly unwelcome, which is unacceptable in an Egyptian resort.
In addition, everything inside the resort was heavily overpriced, even by “foreigner pricing” standards. The value for money was simply not there.
The worst part of our experience happened when my young son became seriously ill, suffering from a very high fever and severe throat inflammation. The hotel staff were shockingly unhelpful during what was clearly an urgent situation. We repeatedly asked for assistance in contacting a pharmacy, only to receive empty promises such as “we will do it” or being told to wait 30 minutes to an hour — with no follow-up at all. There was no sense of urgency or responsibility.
When we requested a golf cart to take us to our car so we could drive to the nearest pharmacy ourselves, we were again told to wait 30 minutes, and no one ever came back to us. A hotel of this size and price level having no responsive pharmacy support is unbelievable.
Eventually, after exhausting all options, we went to the resort clinic. The doctor performed a very minimal examination and charged 500 EGP for it. When we asked for a simple medical report so we could justify our child’s sick leave at school, we were shocked when he asked for 100 EUR just to issue the report. This felt completely unreasonable and exploitative, especially given the circumstances.
I truly have no words to describe how bad that day was. A resort should provide basic hospitality, care, and support — especially when a child is sick. Unfortunately, Jazz Aquamarine failed on every level. We will not be returning, and I would not recommend this hotel to families or anyone expecting professional service or basic human decency.

I’ve been to several hotels in Egypt before, but this one really stands out. Everything was just perfect! The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The food was really tasty — fresh, well-prepared, and with lots of options every day.
The animation team deserves a special mention — they were full of life, fun, and made every day so enjoyable. You can really feel that they love what they do!
I’d love to come back again soon. Highly recommend it!
