Maybe we were lucky but we asked for a quiet room and got a quiet room with no early morning all late night noise.
Staff throughout the resort were very good. Buffet meals we're not as extensive as some other hotels but were perfectly adequate. All drinks and cocktails were tasty and well made.
One day our room wasn't serviced and I believe this may have been an accident, when I commented on the app the next day it was dealt with immediately and professionally above my expectations.
A film crew did take over some parts of the hotel at different stages but to be honest it was quite interesting and they tried their hardest to work around us even offered us a coffee at one stage from the film crew trolley.
The only criticism is that we find that this hotel does not offer one or two nights of dining in the a la cart restaurants without an additional surcharge. Even though we were all inclusive.
Be sure to do the san blas nature reserve or the Starlight walk organised by the hotel. Cheap and easy bit of local education if your into it.

Not 5*. A nice stay, but some things made it not 5*.
The main complain here is the food and the location.
The buffet wasn't 5* worthy. It had a fair amount of options, however, most food wasn't very warm, was sitting there for a long while, or was just flavorless. If the other a la carte restaurants were way better, it could pass, but they aren't. The Italian restaurant (usually my favorite) served undercooked pasta (not al dente) and they couldn't make pizzas during our stay for some reason (didn't say why). The other restaurant was okay, but not amazing either.
And because the hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere, the nearest options are not that great either. There's not much to do or see besides the hotel itself (albeit the hotel is nice! You can see it was actually designed and executed pretty well).
The staff was very kind, helpful and nice, particularly anywhere in the bars, restaurants, around the pools and activities. Kudos to the very nice activity guy from the kayak experience, always carrying a smile.
But the overall hotel is NOT a 5 star experience. More of a 4 star with a buffet, rooms are okay and clean.
Oh and their app sucks. They don't really read the messages to book things (which may be their interface is terrible, I don't know), and generally are slow to reply. The app logs you out randomly (both on an android and an iPhone) and has a pretty non obvious way to "log in" into your stay to the hotel.
Then, the service is always good and the staff is magnific... However, there must be something wrong with management.
They were also recording some movie and blocking a pool and all the area and corridors surrounding it (one day) and the parking outside for two days with the recording staff not allowing you to pass... An odd occurrence, but annoying and definitely not expected from a 5* hotel experience. Because this is definitely a one off thing I wouldn't mind that much, but that's again something showing some issue with the people managing a pretty nice hotel with fantastic staff.

Those is a fabulous hotel that blends in with the Eco park. The pools run down on each level and although the hotel is spread over a large area it still maintains a small cosy atmosphere. Food is good with plenty of choice although the buffet style can be a bit cold. The staff are fantastic, plenty of bars and nice quiet location.
These rooms all have 2 usb slots either side of the bed but power sockets are limited if you want mosquito plugins. Recommend a short extension lead.
Highly recommended and would revisit.

Our first day at Barceló Tenerife has been far from the experience we expected, especially for a five-star resort and for an important trip. Upon entering our room, we discovered that the bathroom had been used prior to our arrival and had not been flushed. After informing reception, housekeeping was sent, but even after the cleaning there was still human waste visible under the toilet lid.
Noise levels have also been unexpectedly high. The door to our room provides almost no sound insulation; activity in the corridor can be heard at full volume, making it difficult to rest after a long flight.
Additionally, a large film crew is operating throughout the hotel’s common areas. While the crew seems professional, the level of noise and disruption is significant. Several shared spaces are currently inaccessible due to filming, effectively limiting the facilities guests are paying for. When I asked reception how long the filming would continue, they declined to provide an answer, leaving us to assume it may last throughout our stay.
This hotel was intended to be the best part of our honeymoon, but the issues described above do not align with the standard or comfort expected from a five-star property. Because of these conditions, we are leaving earlier than originally planned

Name is Mr Shinh (for the hotel).
We stayed at the hotel back in July from the 15th to the 25th - all inclusive.
We experienced major issues with our rooms (interconnecting)
The temperature adjustment on the shower would not work - the shower would be either scorching hot or cold- almost burned my back. They sent someone to sort it out- all he did was change the shower head. The next day he changed a couple of other things and It was slightly better.
Secondly, on the 3rd night if I remember correctly, there was no water access - we arrived back at the hotel after a night out and couldn't shower and went to bed smelly.
Thirdly- our AC in the rooms wasn't working property- for our first few nights- we thought that it was too hot in tenerife but then later on we realised the temperature simply stayed at 26. The hotel sent a technician in to fix it for us.
We complained to the manager (Francesca who im sure remebers us) - as far as we are concerned, we believed 2 nights of compensation was appropriate. The manager agreed but since we informed we booked via Jet 2 Holidays - she couldn't give us the cash and said we had to go through Jet 2. The manager offered us some free food vouchers at their non all inclusive restaurant which we declined.
When we returned to england, we complained to Jet 2, and our response was that the hotel provided a free meal - which is ridiculous and that we would get £100 compensation which is also horrible to offer - we stayed for 10 nights at all inclusive working an average night to £400. It seems the manager didn't inform Jet 2 about 2 nights of compensation that was spoken about at the hotel, showing the hotels lack of care and responsibility, especially AS THIS WAS OUR THIRD TIME AT THIS HOTEL. Not a way at all to treat repeat customers.
Now it is clear that the hotel liases directly with Jet 2 holidays- so the hotel has been unfair. We declined the compensation offer as it seemed insulting by faffing us off with £100.
Today, 17th October, I got a response from Jet 2, stating that the hotel reported no other complaints from guests during out time, therefore out complaint is worthless. This is terrible as our rooms were affected by poor room management and a failure of water Supply.
So I hope the hotel sees this and liases with us and Jet 2 again. We were offered a £150 voucher from Jet 2 which is not what i want - i do not wish to book with them - poor customer service, dragging a simple issue by months. It is simply better to book direct with the hotel as compensation is easier to handle.
I look forward to a reply from the hotel
