⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful hotel with brilliant atmosphere!
We’ve had such a lovely stay here. The location is beautiful, and the hotel itself is modern, clean and really well looked after. Our room is modern and is cleaned every day, and everywhere around the hotel always seems spotless.
The atmosphere is brilliant and there’s always something going on. It can be quite loud from around 11am until 11pm, but honestly, the balcony doors block out almost all of the noise, and the blackout curtains are also fantastic, so it hasn’t been an issue for us at all.
The staff have been brilliant overall — friendly, helpful and always happy to help. There have been the odd rude member of staff, but that’s to be expected anywhere and definitely hasn’t affected our stay.
We also met Yudith in the buffet, who was absolutely lovely! She was super helpful, friendly and so funny. My daughter particularly liked her and was always happy to see her. ❤️
We got great value for money with the deal we booked, and overall we really can’t complain. The cleanliness, location, rooms, atmosphere and staff have all made this a really enjoyable stay. We’d definitely consider coming back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really struggle to see how this is a 4 star hotel
On arrival we were met with the surprise that the privilege of using the room safe would be an additional 2 euro per day, despite being on an 'all inclusive' package - an experience that set the tone for the rest of the week.
It is the least generous 'all inclusive' selection I have ever seen, which includes just 5 machine-made cocktails at the bar. The buffet is big but wildly mismanaged... it is feral. Grown adults push and shove to get to ice cream and the food is badly labelled for allergens. Going in there three times a day is not an enjoyable or relaxing experience and we preferred to dine outside of the hotel, meaning that we did not get the value of our all inclusive package. I was surprised that the waiting staff do not even take a drink order at lunch or dinner, meaning that the vast majority of time is spent queueing and it is hard to actually dine together.
The pools are good but could do with refreshing. However the toilets around the pool and in communal areas are disgusting. One tap works in the ladies bathroom by the quieter pool, and the soap gives a miniscule amount of product, meaning many people opt not to use it (gross). There is often no toilet paper and stalls are blocked or filthy, meaning that you end up queuing again. The hygiene standards of the toilets closest to the snack bar/ buffet are particularly bad and doesn't bode well for the people you will be sharing utensils for serving food with.
On the topic of the snack bar, it really is quite something. It appears to be the remnants of the buffet, so if you fancy brussel sprouts or green beans by the pool, you are in luck. The choice is minimal and the food quality is poor.
The 'adults only' area of the pool is really quite embarrassing. One small, garden-sized hot tub that approximately two people can sit in is the entirety of the offering. The water level is well below where it should be (made clear by a brown line indicating the level it should be at) because the jacuzzi likes to spray out of the pool, instead of in. An entertaining watch but not a relaxing experience for people in the pool, I would assume.
The kid's park is a decent size but is dated, faded and full of pot holes, a risk for any ankle or flip flop clad pool-goer.
Panchi the flying fish is fun but the overall entertainment team lacks enthusiasm for the mini disco. The Panchi breakfast however was fun for kids and a nice change from the buffet.
The rooms were a good size and the daily towel / bedding refresh was efficient and good, however the hallways and lifts etc could all do with a good clean and modernisation.
The bus shuttle service to the beach is very helpful and on time.
We tried to organise a late checkout and were told it would definitely be possible, and to come back and book it 24 hours before we needed it. When we did that, we were told that the hotel was 'full' and they couldn't accommodate, despite us enquiring multiple times during the day, and there being free rooms to book for the hotel online. We eventually managed to book and pay for this, but the first lady at reception that we tried to speak to was rude and dismissive, and it eventually took us wanting to speak with a manager to be able to book.
Overall we had a great family holiday because of the company and the fun that we made inside and outside of the hotel, but the hotel fell short of the standards we expect of a 4-star all inclusive and we would not return.

We had a wonderful stay at Abora Buenaventura. The hotel offers a wide variety of activities and entertainment for both adults and children, so there is always something fun to do.
The food was excellent, with a great selection of fresh and delicious dishes every day. There was plenty of choice, and everyone could easily find something they enjoyed.
The biggest highlight was the professional, friendly, and helpful staff. They were always smiling, attentive, and willing to assist, making our stay even more enjoyable.
We highly recommend Abora Buenaventura to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with great facilities, fantastic food, and outstanding service. We would be happy to come back!

7 night family holiday for 3 adults at the end of May 2026.half board.
Amazing hotel…stayed in a room for 2/3 people, garden/pool view. It was very spacious with great wardrobe/storage space. Very modern and spotless clean. Beds were spacious and really comfy.
Garden areas and 2 pools were great, with bars and a supermarket.
Food was was lovely with plenty of choice available.
The entertainment team were welcoming and friendly…. fun games during the day and great evening shows.
The hotel is really close to the beach/sand dunes, shops, bars and restaurants….a free shuttle bus is available.
Fantastic 4 star hotel… I would definitely recommend 🙂

We had a fantastic family holiday here as a group of 12! I was really quite worried before our trip after reading some of the reviews, but so glad we just went with it. The staff were super friendly, our rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard and towels were replaced every day.
The snack bar was great for the kids during the day, with burgers, hotdogs, nuggets etc etc. The buffet was also pleasantly surprising. Yes there were some of the same types of food daily, but each night they also had themes which changed it up a bit. Our favourite was Mexican night. They also had a kids section in the main buffet with your standard beige ‘safe’ food like pizza, chips, nuggets and pasta.
Our kids really enjoyed the kids club and were asking to go almost every day. The animation team were great. We took part in the karaoke and the bingo and watched a few singers for the nightly entertainment.
If it wasn’t for the fact we like to change destination every year we would definitely go back again!
