It seems some people don't like an honest review but this was our experience. We knew it was for the elder clientèle as we had read reviews and actually been to the pool here, my parents are in their late 70s and love the place. We had this hotel booked 12mths ago and for the price we paid we expected much more.
We were brought up to respect our elders, however some of the elder clientèle think they are entitled and showed no respect.
Received a nice welcome on arrival but the following day staff were rude and abrupt. Room at the side of lift and had the smallest balcony I've ever seen. Room very dated and the carpet was filthy, others complained of cockroaches.
Upgraded to All Inclusive, only had breakfast and evening meal three times as was ill. Saw the chef handling raw meat (pork chops) the carving cooked Turkey, prawn crackers full of flies. Pool bar food was was nice but the older waiter was a right misery. Pool is fantastic, lounge bar was an eye opener. Some waiters were lovely.
Unfortunately the reviews we had read beforehand are right.....its like an old people home, blokes sitting about in slippers and women crocheting jumpers. Defo not 4* and won't return, was glad to get home.

The hotel itself is nice but dated. We were half board and you can tell with the way management treat you. We struggled to find a table at dinner, and no one came to assist us, but were over quick enough if we had accidently sat at a table which was reserved. We were also charged for a soft drink and even water. The wifi at the hotel is an absolute joke. Once you have entered the details into your phone at reception its fine until you reach your room then its lost. Even a staff member at reception said it was terrible. We also had to hire a kettle which was €7.50 which wasnt bad for the week, but we thought there would be at least tea making facilities in our room. On the plus side the food was ok and terrace area at the top was very comfortable. The receptionists were very helpful and if you require a taxi they will call one for you and its there in a couple of minutes. We won't book into the San Antonio in the future as there needs to.be an overhaul between the hotel itself and the management.

I recently stayed at this hotel and our stay was wonderful from start to finish. All staff were very helpful, rooms were very clean, facilities were excellent. Breakfast was fabulous. We had a late evening flight and checked-out of our room at midday - the reception staff offered us a courtesy room to have a shower before our flight. I would highly recomended this hotel. It was approx 25 minute walk to the main strip in PDC, however, taxis are super affordable.

I've used this hotel about eight times. I don't think I'll be using it again.
Unless you are in reception or the bar area, the WiFi is non- excistant.
I'm not.too bothered about people walking around me to get food as others seem to be. The food was ok, but not as good as five years ago. On my last day having breakfast, a cockroach crawled across my lap, nice. A couple I spoke to said they'd had cockroaches in their bedroom.
I used the gym, but the equipment needs maintenance, for example the rowing machine screen doesn't work, it just needs a new battery.
If you have no intentions of going out, then the hotel may be for you. The entertainment varies from ok to poor. Not a hotel for the younger person, there weren't many below the age of 65.

Spent a very enjoyable week there with friends. I really liked that they did not remove towels unless I kept them on the floor. The bed was made beautifully each day. They should promote the location of their recycling area, which I found by chance. Day tours can be booked at reception gor pick up across the road.
Reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly.
