This is our second stay at this hotel and we can not fault it. All of the staff are very friendly. The selection of food in the restaurant is amazing.... something for all tastes! The heated pool is a bonus too. Great location right on the beach (although it isn't great for swimming there). A very short walk to hit the main drag of bars and restaurants. We like it because it is close enough to everything but not right in the middle of it all! Highly recommended.

My grandmother recently stayed at VIK San Antonio in Lanzarote with her partner, and unfortunately, her experience was not a good one. As a woman of colour, she felt she was treated differently from other guests. The staff at both reception and the restaurant were noticeably rude and dismissive towards her, while being polite and friendly to everyone else around. It made her feel uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout her stay.
Aside from that, she said the hotel itself wasn’t great. It felt quite dated and didn’t offer the level of cleanliness or comfort you’d expect. The only real positive was the location, which is convenient and has nice views, but that alone doesn't make up for how she was treated.
Consequently, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially if you’re a person of colour. No one should have to deal with that kind of behaviour while on holiday.

Lovely hotel. First time here and we were very impressed. Rooms were large and comfortable ,very clean and well maintained, although a little dated. The restaurant was exceptionally good. The food and choice available was excellent and all of a very high quality. The staff and service in the restaurant was very good. All very polite and helpful. The pools and surroundings were very clean but did need a little maintenance in some areas. Plenty of sunbeds available, so no need to get up early to have a chance of sunbathing.
The evening entertainment was very good, with something for all. Will definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at VIK San Antonio and was very disappointed with the overall experience. The rooms are noticeably outdated, the air conditioning barely worked (which made the nights very uncomfortable), and the carpet is in desperate need of replacement.
What really brought the experience down further was the attitude of the staff. Most of them were incredibly rude, especially in the restaurant. I did come across 2-3 staff members who were polite and helpful, but they were the exception rather than the rule. It also became clear that staff were only friendly if you tipped them, which made the service feel very transactional and insincere.
In all honesty, this hotel should be rated as a 3-star at best. It’s simply not up to the standard it claims to be. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly would not stay here again. You're much better off spending the extra £100 for a hotel that actually delivers on quality and service.

An exceptional stay; clean, convenient, and well-equipped, with thoughtful service and fantastic amenities. Highly recommended.
Room:
We booked a room for two people and were given two single beds pushed together, a fridge, a desk, and a balcony with chairs and a table. The bathroom was spacious with a shower, and the hotel provided toiletries including hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, a comb, and even a sewing kit. There were plenty of towels, and the room was very clean and fresh. The only downside was the bed setup. I would have preferred a proper double bed.

Staff:
The staff were friendly, multilingual (Spanish, English, German, etc.), and very helpful. While there was no option for a late check-out or day pass, they allowed us to store our luggage and continue using the pool area until our flight. They also provided access to a shower room before departure.

Facilities & Amenities:
The hotel has two pools, one of which is climatized, as well as a main restaurant offering buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There’s also a pool bar, and ping pong and billiards tables. One of the highlights is the hotel’s private beach area, accessible directly from the pool. We rented a car and were given free access to the hotel’s parking. We also booked the breakfast buffet; it was well worth it, with a wide selection of options including items for those with dietary restrictions (like dairy intolerance).

Location:
The hotel is situated right on the main street, surrounded by restaurants, pubs, and local activities. It’s conveniently just a 10-minute drive from the airport.
