Hotel is decent, rooms are good and clean. However Most of the buffet consists of the same fish dishes every day, and the chicken and pork are so poorly cooked and unappetising I honestly wouldn’t even feed them to my dog. It’s not just unpleasant — it’s unacceptable for a resort advertised as five-star.
I’m gluten free and they provided gluten free breads at breakfast. All allergens were labelled. breakfast - half decent, lived off chips at lunch and went out for dinner every day. To spend £1300 for 2 people for 6 days and to still have to pay for dinner each night just to have a decent meal is a bit crazy.
Also the water is FREEZING. Like painfull freezing there is no way the water is at a regulated temperature at all and it seems to be the same across the whole island so be prepared. Hardly anyone was in the water at all.
That said, rooms are lovely and so are staff and it’s a very good location. Entertainment is great and all wine beer and soft drinks are help yourself all day long

Hi everyone. A report on our holiday recently in this beautiful hotel. Everything so excellently organised from the facilities to food and refreshments. The staff are top class from management to reception the floor staff and particularly the cleaners who were professional and friendly. Probably the food and its presentation was brilliant. A truly memorable holiday enhanced particularly by staff. Ocean view from the apartment for modest charge. Absolutely worth it. Brilliant from start to finish enhanced by well trained professional courteous staff. 5 Stars all around

An amazing holiday at Sol Lanzarote by Melia Hotels. The food and services were outstanding on the all inclusive package. If you’re booking this yourself you really don’t need to stress about airport transfers, the taxi to the hotel was €10, a fraction of the cost offered by the tour operator and there were literally dozens of taxis turning up every few minutes.
We went end of October and the weather we experienced that week was pure sunshine high 20’s to low 30’s. The rooms are serviced everyday and air conditioned. A tip from us, any credit card sized card in the slot to activate power in the room works. We closed the curtains and doors during the day, left the air con on and the room was at perfect cool temperatures all day which in that heat was desperately needed.
A great holiday and family spot, lots of activities for children (although we didn’t have any kids with us) and plenty of night entertainment to keep you occupied. 50 metres from the beach! 10/10 in every aspect. Congratulations to all of the staff for making it a truly memorable vacation.

Nice hotel, with a great location to the beach. The hotel is clean and the food is nice, and there is a great selection of pools, a lovely little play park.
However, the staff on reception were very grumpy and not inviting.
The kids club wasn’t enticing to the kids at all - staff didn’t make an effort to sell it to the kids, so they chose to be in the pool instead -there was nothing stating what was happening at kids club, so as a parent I couldn’t say to the kids what it would be as I had no clue. They went for an hour one day, were bored and didn’t want to go back.
The food was nice in the evenings, but the pool bar isn’t great for intolerances, and is the same beige food every day.
The cocktails included in the all inclusive, were made from a machine, very syrup based and not that tasty. The ice creams included were little tubs of icecream, (no ice lollies), so for those who are dairy intolerant, have to purchase an ice lolly at €2 a time, which adds up.
Also the photographer (round the pool) was very pushy, and a bit weird and creepy.
We had a nice time, but probably would not return to this hotel.

Just got back from Sol Lanzorote, now fist the Positives, we were on our honeymoon and I had emailed the hotel beforehand to ask them if they could make the room special on arrival, and sure enough they did and I was really pleased, we had a bottle of fizz and some strange sweets lol, 2 glasses and a lovely welcome card, something for us to keep 💕, we booked a Superior room wth sea view and WOW this didn't disappoint, the room its self was huge with 2 separate rooms and a big bathroom, big balcony wth a fantastic view of the beach which was directly opposite the hotel, there was only a cycle path in between, just so u are aware,u are next to the airport, so u here the planes taking off and you can walk and watch them landing all day, i loved this, no cars allowed it was very peaceful wth no traffic noise, the hotel itself is clean, you can have ur room done every day if u wish, on route to room we gound it quite a treak but its a huge hotel, i should imagine if u have disability issue it could be an issue as the pathways are very steep and can be slippy when wet but there are signs up warning u, there a plenty of sunbeds even though placed very close to each other so I should imagine in the high season when busy u would be like sardines in a tin but on our stay it was fine
Now for the negatives, on arrival we were told the safe was included, great we thought but ours didn't work, we were there for 5 nights, 4 times we asked for this to be looked at this never got done, we gave up in the end, the hotel itself is in need of some TLC, its very tired, the rooms need updating, the hotel walls need a good paint, alot of the sunbeds are broken and the chairs are very uncomfortable to sit on all evening whilst around the bar etc, I cant comment on the entertainment as we went out most nights, I think it was singers which sounded OK tbh, the one evening we did stop in anthe entertainment was apparently for the French guests only so we couldn't understand any of it, some of the guests were obviously making use of the all inclusive which is what u pay for but were very noisy on their balcony and in the rooms, walls must be thin, the food well, tbh yes there is alot of choice, when you can get to see what there is, its amazing how rude and ignorant people can be when theres food about, you had to queue at one end and work along, far to busy and this was in November, we went out 3 nights as what we saw wasn't for us but hey, we are all different, the coffee was awful though
The drinks are your regular All inclusive watered down local spirits
The hotel itself is in Matagorda which is about a 15min walk to the main Porte del carmen, but its a lovely place to stay, we are looking to go back but would stay in a different hotel, this one if a very family orientated hotel, so if you have children yes this one is for you, I would only rate it as a 3star at the most not the 4star it is but hotel, thankyou for our stay its a big hotel to manage, good luck in the future 😀
