We had such a wonderful week at Mynd and were very sad to go! A few highlights:
The staff - everyone we encountered was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. For instance, I happened to pop to reception the night before we checked out and, unprompted, the receptionist offered to organise us a picnic as we would miss breakfast due to an early check out time.
Food / drinks - we were bed and breakfast, the breakfasts were healthy, fresh and plenty of choice. Cocktails / smoothies from the bars were always freshly made and delicious.
Amenities - the 2 pools (1 small infinity on the rooftop and the other bigger downstairs) had plenty of sun beds although I appreciate we were visiting in a quieter season when maybe demand was lower. We found all communal spaces and our room to be modern, clean, and well looked after. The rooftop area is a real bonus with incredible sunset views.
Eco-friendly - I feel the review of the previous reviewer is a little unfair on this as we found real effort towards eco-friendliness, such as:
water refill stations;
no plastic cups or straws;
clear notices abut what to do if you don’t need your towels / bedding changed;
Mynd’s donation to an environmental charity for every time towels are reused;
breakfast buffet having a proportionate amount of food out so as not to be wasteful.
We’d visit again in a heartbeat. Thank you Mynd

We have just got back from a week at Mynd hotel over the the Christmas period.
We had an amazing time and would recommend highly.
From checking in, we were made to feel very welcome (especially from Naomi, even though she had a sore throat).
My wife & I arrived early, so check in wasn't immediately available, so Naomi took my number, set us up on a temporary WiFi and informed me that she would contact me when our room would be ready.
We trotted down to the pool, to be greeted by Mr Fernando.
I later found out Mr Fernando not only is very attentive but also makes the most amazing cocktails (Bloody Mary being my choice).
New Year's eve consisted of two sitting (which were unaware of) the staff greeted all of us individually, plied us with Fizz and led us to our table.

Salmon
Paella
Crab
Wine on tap
& not forgetting the 12 Grapes you must eat on each chime at midnight.
Would I revisit?
Yes, without a doubt.
Thank you Mynd Hotel for a very enjoyable holiday over the festive season

I had a great time at Mynd Adeje. I traveled solo and spent a few days cycling, alternating with some rest days, and the hotel was perfect for that. It’s quiet and calm — ideal for relaxing when staying in. For other sports, the gym had plenty of equipment and everything you’d expect.
The location is slightly more remote than the larger resorts and touristy areas, which I saw as a positive. Still, there are enough bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel's water dispensers to refill your bottle are a great touch.
The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. During the entire week I stayed, I don’t think I saw a single member of the team without a smile — a great atmosphere overall.
Finally, I ate almost every evening at the hotel’s restaurant (I stayed with Flex Board). The food was excellent, and the staff were super friendly — especially Diego.

Review from a couple, from England, late 20s/early 30s
One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in - 5 star accommodation, food, service 😊
What made our stay so special was the perfect, delicious, freshly cooked food and the service team - especially Deigo. He was the absolute best! Friendly, couldn’t do enough for us, helped us speak as much Spanish as we could - what a lovely guy.
Pros:
- The wallet is a great way to use half board the way YOU want to
- The service from everyone was amazing, smiley, kind, and will do anything for you
- Lovely welcome and welcome drink
- Very clean rooms and hotel communal spaces
- Amazing cocktails and smoothies
- Perfect food as mentioned above
- Lovely pool areas
Cons/feedback:
- You can only get a towel from 11am - 3pm, which time wise, when you can’t arrive until 3pm, means you loose your first afternoon and morning of having a towel. We wanted one at 8:30am on the first day, but had to wait until 11am.
- Our room had an inland view, and we got a balcony overlooking the car park and directly in eye line of everyone walking into the reception area. Not ideal for privacy reasons, but it didn’t ruin our stay.
The cons are feedback based only and didn’t affect our stay negatively. We would definitely come back😊
Thanks everyone!🥰

My wife and I were booked to stay 7 nights here but left after 4 (would have been after 3 if Tui had got their act together).
This is a strange little hotel. Borderline 3* rather than 4*. The hotel building itself is clean and modern, as are the rooms, but somewhat dull and lacking atmosphere. One whole side of the hotel looks over an unfinished and seemingly now deserted building site for a resort that will never be built. It is skeletal and an eyesore. We asked for, and were given, a room on the other side looking over the pool.
They don’t put a kettle or coffee machine in the rooms because “they don’t want to cater to the English.” They don’t put tissues in the rooms either though we didn’t get a real explanation for this.
The food is Ok but not inspiring, the breakfast buffet is good but unchanging (except for a choice of boiled vegetable (?)). Overall, blah!
The not wanting to cater to us was enhanced by the attitude and behaviour of some of the staff. We arrived to a cold and unsmiling young receptionist who seemed to be irritated to have to check us in. Actually, you pretty much have to check yourself in here but you still need to be received and given keys etc. which she did but only with some disdain.
On the second evening, at the roof top bar where you can watch the sunset, the waiter - who had ignored us for several minutes - then took issue with my facial expression. I did tell him it was his attitude that resulted in my look of displeasure but what right he had to criticise my face is lost on me.
The next day the life guard at the pool lost his temper and pretty much accused us of being liars when we told him we returned our pool towels while he was away from his station. He shouted at my wife repeatedly. This was the final straw for us.
The rest of the staff were fine, pleasant and helpful but this feeling that we were not wanted there still lingers.
One final note, the owners claim to be offering a place of ecological consideration for the planet and wellness for the guests. However, as is so usual these days, beyond not changing the sheets and towels daily and only cleaning the room every 2 days, there is little to no evidence of this. So, greenwashing to save them money seems the more likely reasoning.
So, in my opinion, beware of this hotel if you are English but be somewhat aware if you are any other nationality frankly.
