We completed the online check-in and even uploaded photos of our passports, yet upon arrival we still had to hand over our passports so they could take another copy. That felt unnecessary and inconsistent.
Our swim-up room was beautiful, spacious and fully equipped. No complaints about the room itself.
However, the housekeeping really let the hotel down. Every single day something basic was forgotten: no refill of soap, no new toilet paper, the ashtray wasn’t emptied. Our terrace was only cleaned once during the entire week, even though the saltwater pool leaves constant salt stains on the floors.
The Wi-Fi was also disappointing — slow, unstable and regularly dropping out. Definitely below 5-star expectations.
The food in the main Market Hall restaurant was excellent, although drink service could be a bit faster. We also loved the meals at Strombolli and Route 66, both were top quality.
One thing that really stood out: at the pool bar you’re not allowed to enter with wet swimwear… in a pool bar. Staff could be quite abrupt about it too. Maybe consider adding an outdoor serving area so guests can still order drinks normally.

Awesome hotel for a nice vacation on Tenerife.
The rooms are clean and they have an outstanding view. The restaurant options are really good with a large variety of food, and the staff is super kind and helpful.
The privilege option is a great deal, it is definitely worth it.
I would like to highlight Barbara from Guest Relations, she was extremely kind and helped us to enjoy the perfect vacation.

Great stay. I mean come on, what can you complain about? Very lively - Kids running in the hall way during breakfast times. Food’s great, rooms are great. Water pressure in the shower is good too. We stayed with our little girl on the 6th floor. You just need to make sure you do everything pretty early, early breakfast and early arrival by the pool if you want a good spot where all the stuff is happening. There’s also other pool but very quiet. Staff are great, very accommodating and rooms are spotlessly clean every time you want. If you looking for 5* family oriented establishment, this hotel is for you.

We stayed at the H10 Sunset in Tenerife and overall had a good experience.
Positive aspects:
- The hotel is very clean and offers plenty of space.
- I really liked the layout: the hotel consists of three different buildings with several pools.
The first building is mainly for families and has a great children’s pool with slides as well as a large additional pool.
The second building seems more suited for guests without children.
The third building is the Privilege area with more upscale rooms and the infinity pool.
This separation is well thought out, and we stayed in the family building, which worked perfectly for us.
- The hotel didn’t feel overcrowded, probably around 80% full during our stay, so there was enough space at the pools and around the facilities.
Neutral/less impressive:
- The location is fine, but nothing particularly special. There’s only a small beach nearby which does not belong to the hotel.
Negative aspects:
- The staff was not always attentive or friendly, which was a bit disappointing.
- In the evenings, the hallways could be quite noisy – kids running around and people talking loudly could easily be heard inside the rooms.
- The food was okay but not outstanding. Options for vegetarians were quite limited, and the fruit in the evening often didn’t look very appealing.
- At the end of the stay, the food and beverage bill was not transparent – only the total amount was shown without details, so it was impossible to review what had actually been consumed.
- Evening entertainment was mostly acrobat shows. Some more variety would be nice.
- For a half-board booking, it would be reasonable to include at least one drink with dinner.
Conclusion:
The H10 Sunset is a good hotel and definitely a solid choice, especially for families. However, there is still room for improvement. In our opinion, it’s more of a solid 4-star experience rather than 5-star. For Tenerife, though, it remains a good option if you are traveling with kids.
