I Loves The 'Diff
A fabulous hotel for families.
A very well run, very clean, and well maintained (lots of staff, cleaning and maintaining throughout day) very large hotel with top level kids entertainment. Everything is on a grand scale at the Fantasia Tenerife - the rooms, lobby, bar and public spaces - everything - are on a generous scale.
Buffet food is of the typical standard (ie good) of comparable quality hotels across the Canaries, but the food in the individual restaurants was disappointing (Italian and Asian). Ultimately this is a minor quibble - we didn’t come to eat, we came for the sunshine and to escape the wet grey interminable Welsh winter - but we did cancel our third restaurant booking because of our experiences and get a refund on the 80 euro we had spent on the ‘extra’ booking of the Asian (we got two included). The steak restaurant looked the nicest in terms of interior but the Italian and Asian were okay but nothing more and possibly less than UK chain food fare. A nice touch was pizza making for the kids.
Also for the kids - silent disco was good fun (funny chap running it), as well as mini discos, daytime activities (all on the app; too many to mention - but it really is quite impressive).
With a secluded lounger and infinity pool area for adults, a big well equipped gym, a sports bar and a large cocktail lounge, a brilliant kids club, and excellent pool facilities (heated pools - so okay for extended dips even on cooler Feb days), this is a brilliant choice for families. (If you don’t have kids and don’t like busy/crowded pool areas you’d be mad to choose this hotel!)
If they were able to take your luggage to your room (that can be rather far away given the size of the hotel) and also show you to your room initially as the layout can be confusing, that would have made for a better welcome, but it’s a minor gripe. We had a brilliant time

Amazing holiday! Came back to a happy birthday surprise banner on my door and complimentary bottle of alcohol and hotel chocolates, which was a lovely surprise! The view from our room was lovely, with views on both sides of the sea and part of the adult pool. Food was lovely and shows were amazing. The entertainment team were all very friendly and welcoming!

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights, and this was already our second visit. The first time we stayed here was back in 2020, so we had a good reference point for comparison. Overall, our experience was once again very positive.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping is done daily, and the minibar is refilled every day, which is very convenient. Everything feels well organized and taken care of.
Food is varied, and the buffet changes daily, so there is always something new to try. Compared to 2020, the selection has become slightly smaller, but the quality of the food remains good, and there is still plenty to choose from.
We would also like to mention the à la carte restaurants. We visited three of them — the Asian, Italian, and steak restaurants. The Asian restaurant was not really to our taste, but we truly enjoyed both the steak and the Italian restaurants. In the Italian restaurant, our child even had the chance to make their own pizza, which was a very fun and memorable experience for kids.
The hotel is excellent for families with children. Our child absolutely loved the water slides and spent a lot of time there. There are many activities for kids, including animation, a children’s disco, various games and competitions, and a kids’ club. Children are really well entertained here.
We attended three different shows during our stay, and they were of a very high standard, with great performances, costumes, and overall organization.
Most of the staff are very attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which truly adds to the comfort of the stay. There were a few exceptions, but overall the service left a very positive impression.
One small note for future guests: some rooms have twin beds, while others have a king-size bed. We didn’t pay attention to this detail when booking and were assigned a room with twin beds. The hotel kindly offered us the option to move to a room with a king-size bed after a few days, but it was not very convenient for us to repack and unpack our luggage again, so we decided to stay in the twin-bed room. We would recommend paying attention to this when booking and stating your bed preference in advance.
Overall, our impressions are extremely positive. We can confidently recommend this hotel and would be happy to return again.

We visited here as a late sixties couple end of February in 8111 with a south facing sea view and had a very good week. Room was huge. It's windy here, yes, with gusts of 40 mph on some days but also lovely sunny days 22 °.
The whole hotel is very clean. Constant sweeping, cleaning, painting etc goes on.
Food and drink were very good with lots of choice, not piping hot ( but microwave available) though not many langoustines/mussels at mealtimes. Cocktails galore here. Just scan QR code at the bar for what's AI. We prebooked and enjoyed the Italian à la carte but preferred the Asian à la carte.
Imox and Papimber show were excellent though seating in theatre is uncomfortable hard plastic seating. Entertainment in lobby bar was varied but quite acceptable - easy listening singers, rock band, saxophonist/flautust. Waiters will bring drinks to table. Room has a lovely ambience
Pleasant coastal walks out the back gate along the front in either direction but not much in the way of shops/restaurants. We took a bus to Los Abrigos, lovely little harbour and walked back along to the hotel. We walked to town of San Blas with a central walkway full of bars, beach shops etc. NB There are not really any big swimming beaches here, just little rocky coves. Bus to Los Cristianos took 30 minutes with bustling promenades with cafes, souvenirs and beaches.
We found all staff to be respectful, polite and friendly.
Plenty of sunbeds. Lots of little kids' entertainment going on. Site is spacious with an adults only section with more limited sunbeds available on sea front with heated infinity pool. 26 degrees.

We stayed here in February and had a fantastic family holiday. We really enjoyed our stay, and most importantly, so did our kids. The hotel is incredibly well thought out, with plenty to keep both younger and older children entertained.
The kids’ pool and splash area had so much going on that there was always something for them to do. Our children absolutely loved the foam party and the magic carpet! If you’re looking for a quieter spot, the top pool areas were much more peaceful. We split our time between the lively kids’ area and the quieter top pools, which gave us the best of both worlds. Some of the top pools were heated, which was a real bonus in mid-winter, and the smaller splash pool for kids was warm as well.
The hotel itself was spotless, including the pool areas, and every member of staff we encountered was lovely and welcoming. In terms of food, there was something for everyone, and our kids were always happy with the options available. At busy times there was occasionally a slight delay in popular items being replenished, but that was the only minor negative during our stay.
We stayed in block 3 and looked out to the back of the hotel, we had a family room with balcony. I really loved our room, although we did look out the back of the hotel we had a partial sea view so got to see the sunrises in the morning before heading down to breakfast.
I’d especially like to say a huge thank you to the reception team. One night our little boy became unwell. He has asthma, and his inhalers just weren’t helping, so we ended up needing to go to hospital. The reception staff were absolutely amazing, they phoned ahead to arrange medical support, ensured the pharmacy had the prescription ready for us, and checked in with us throughout the week to see how he was doing. It’s frightening enough when he has an asthma attack at home, never mind when you’re away, but we felt so well supported and cared for.
We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown to our family. Thank you again for everything, it made a difficult situation so much easier to manage.
We would recommend this hotel and we would love to come back here again.
