We stayed at the Princesa Yaiza for 2 weeks at the end of June 2025. I read all the reviews beforehand and I would say the average review is accurate in my opinion. Having stayed at many hotels, I would describe this as a 4.5 rather than a 5L and it does feel tired in places although part of that is the rustic theme the hotel has gone for. The hotel really should address the towel situation by telling guests at check in and then having the pool managers actually enforce the rules. With all that being said, the staff were exceptional throughout. My daughter has coeliac disease and the hotel dealt with the situation admirably, particularly head chef, Raul. The location is also great.

We had a great time at this hotel in February. On arrival, we organised a room upgrade and while we were waiting discovered the soft play area between reception and the restaurants, staffed by one of the animation team. The kids loved it and it set the tone for the rest of the wonderful holiday.
The kids club is fantastic, the best we've encountered as a family. It was sad for me to have to say goodbye to some of the staff who put so much love and effort into making the kids' time special.
The guest experience, reception and waiting staff were all terrific. The room was spacious, well maintained and we loved the style. The hotel facilities and food exceeded expectations and, the icing on the cake, the location is perfect for experiencing everything within Playa Blanca.
We would definitely come back again :)

We stayed here as a family of four in the second week of July.
We arrived after 8pm and were met at our transfer by a lovely man who took our bags , brought us to check in and brought us all refreshments.
When we arrived to our room which wasn't set up for us . We had booked a standard suite with garden view . The main bedroom had two single beds rather than a king size bed and the beds in the lounge area were not set up . I thought this was strange as the hotel knew we were arriving late and we had requested a king size bed .
We went to reception to discuss and they were unbelievably pleasant and accommodating. They had our bed changed before we got back to the room and housekeeping were fantastic throughout the rest of our stay.
Unfortunately our shower hadn't been cleaned properly before our arrival. There was hair on the shower wall .
We ate in the italian restaurant once which was average .
The Japanese food was beautiful and the service was great . The teppanyaki was a bit boring to be honest. Also you cannot order cocktails in this restaurant.
We had lunch in the pool bar several times and everything was perfect.
Breakfast was also perfect
The lobby bar staff are so pleasant and the atmosphere here in the evening is lovely and calm
The pool was disappointing, It's was very cold even my children were too cold and there was no atmosphere no music just a bit flat .
There is also a funfair within seconds of the hotel which the kids enjoyed .
The hotel is so close to the beach where you can rent loungers and get drinks and snacks at a little bar on the beach . We also did some water activities which were brilliant.
The food along the promenade was hit or miss and i feel the locals are fed up with tourists and not overly happy to serve you .
Overall our stay was great but we probably won't be back to this hotel

Had a wonderful stay at the Princess Yaiza. Third stay here and it didn’t disappoint.
Came for 8 nights and attended a friend’s wedding held at the hotel. Fantastic venue and a very special wedding. The following day we went to the hotels vineyard and carried on the celebrations. This was also a great day.
Our favourite rooms are overlooking the pool area, which also give you a sea view.
The hotel is now a few years old, has a prime spot in Playa Blanca and the grounds are well established, which is what we like.

Amazing location and a lovely champagne/ juice welcome. The staff have a great attitude but some definitely require some additional training in follow through.
A few let downs were that we were given incorrect directions by staff on a number of occasions, with the size of the hotel being sent in the wrong direction is frustrating. An interactive map would be a useful addition to hotel services.
The online app is pretty pointless as anything raised through it was picked up much later than the lead times suggested, but a phone call was much more responsive.
My wife’s breakfast was cross contaminated and the management did offer a more personal service in response which I thought was great and guest services called to check if everything was going ok however she really did feel put off by this and felt some sort of recompense should have been offered. When asked at checkout the comment was literally ignored instead of being addressed which was disappointing as for me an apology for the error would have given a higher rating.
Overall I would consider revisiting because the flaws were not massive in the bigger picture but they were present. I have to salute those who gave a top service but that needs to be consistent throughout to live up to the rating.
