We were a little concerned before arriving given the large number of negative reviews but we needn’t have worried. The staff and service were excellent particularly the waiters Gabriel, Luis and Stephen in the Timanfaya restaurant and all the chefs cooking on the grill where the meals were delicious. The Gold level pool was also lovely with attentive bar staff and life guard who kept clients safe as well as keeping the environment super clean and tidy. The location is quiet but allows an easy walk to the beautiful playa mujeres or a stroll to the marina or further towards play blanca main resort. Overall, we had a lovely week here. Thank you to all the team.

We have had a lovely holiday. The rooms are so cute for the children. The different pools are fab. Leo has been amazing with our oldest son, he makes all the children feel so welcome & keeps them entertained none stop throughout the day he is brilliant at his job & we can’t praise him enough. All the staff have been lovely. We will definitely be returning to this hotel the kids have loved it.

Excellent family hotel — we’ll definitely be back!
We had a fantastic stay at Gran Castillo Tagoro. The hotel is excellent for families, with loads for kids to do and lots of different pools to explore and swim in.
We had the Gold package, which gave us access to the Gold Solarium Pool, including the heated half pool. The kids absolutely loved it. The kids’ club was also brilliant and runs twice a day, which gave them even more to enjoy.
The food was fresh every day, with plenty of choice and always something for everyone.
Also, each night, the entertainment crew put on excellent shows, for adults and kids alike. They were brilliant.
And, to top it all off, the service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay.
A special thank you to Luis, Ana, and many others who made our holiday extra special. We will definitely be going back next year.

Great hotel, beautifully clean public areas and rooms serviced daily. We were all inclusive and the food was fresh, hot, tasty and never so much choice. Staff are amazing nothing too much trouble, i would especially like to mention Aaron and Majib from restaurant always willing to go the extra mile, with a smile and a chuckle. Timothie who heads up the animation team also deserves a special shout out, his energy and personality is infectious and helped make our visit so much fun.
Basically they are just a few staff we had several interactions with but not one member let the hotel down.
Highly recommend and will return with the rest of our family.

Stayed here June 2026, also stayed here May 2025. Great hotel, particularly if staying with young children. Our 4 year old twins love it, all the animation team are excellent with the children, mini club - lots of crafts done with the kids, mini disco brilliant and the evening entertainment much improved from last year. Highlights were the African show and the acrobat show outside the sports bar.
Fanni and Isabelle and all the team are brilliant!
Hotel very clean, rooms cleaned daily. Food good, lots to choose from.
Will definitely return next year!
