⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Service from Claudia J!
My wife and I recently visited the 17th-floor bar at the Grand Hotel in Arrecife, and we were absolutely blown away by the incredible service from Claudia J. She is a beautiful, kind, and professional woman who made our evening truly special. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and genuine friendliness that made us feel completely at ease.
Claudia’s attention to detail and care were second to none — she made sure everything was perfect for us. Her charm and professionalism truly elevated our experience, and it’s safe to say she was the highlight of our visit.
We almost decided to come back the very next night just because of her! If you visit the Grand Hotel, don’t miss the 17th-floor bar — and definitely ask for Claudia J. She’s a true five-star gem! 🌟

Good location for both the airport and wandering around Arrecife.
On the plus side we found upon arrival the receptionists were lovely, the Pool bar staff & Alarz team were also attentive & the Spa team great with a special mention to Alina who managed to straighten out my dodgy back following a particular hectic game of Paddle! Thankyou!
Other positives no problem parking as the hotel has an underground car park, fantastic views from the Blue17 restaurant especially at night & both pool bar and spa facilities were good.
However for us the overall positive interaction with the staff was severely tarnished by encounter with a member of the Blue 17 hospitality team who upon our arrival was particularly offhand to the point of being rude & who after eventually showing us to a table then proceeded to ignore us for at least another 20 minutes, at which point we decided to leave.
Look a little closely and you’ll also see the building has some areas in need of attention, for instance the numerous cracked glass retaining panels around the perimeter balcony in the pool bar gives cause for concern.
Have to say on the whole the staff and facilities were good & I would have liked to give the hotel a better rating, unfortunately our experiences lead me to conclude the hotel does not warrant 5 stars at this time.
I don’t tend to write reviews without good reason usually we would have had an exceptional experience or a really poor one. I’ll let you decide where this one applies!

Best point of hotel is the spacious rooms with great views. Nice welcome comfortable checkin with a cava. Arriveffe is a working Spanish town which is rather run down not many nice restaurants to eat. We were half board which is in the buffet restaurant we are not big fans of buffet food but this one was not too noisy and nice food changed daily. Shame you could nit get a credit to eat in the other hotel alacarte resturants. Blue 17 bar on 17th floor great views and live music in the evening short staffed so they were stressed and long waits. In the day we went for lunch but renovations meant all we could hear was drilling and banging so left. Limited outside sunbeds but nice inside bar areas with good views. Overall nice hotel in not such a good area. Short staffed so service was poor for a 5 star hotel . Best food was at the end of the pier next to hotel with great view and superb seafood. Called islite de Fermina shame you can’t sunbathe there on great Freeform pool

Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa is a three-star hotel masquerading as a five-star hotel.
The Bad:
The staff is not what you would expect at a five-star hotel. Receptionists talk on the phone, send and receive voice messages while speaking to you, and even get up and leave during check-in. One receptionist literally handed me the keyboard to check myself in - this is not a joke.
When I brought up the issue that we paid for a higher-class room but were placed in a lower-class one, the staff's solution was to tell us to pay to be upgraded - essentially asking us to pay again for what we already paid for. There was not even a token apology or acknowledgment.
People were partying on our floor at around 2 a.m., and hotel staff seemed to tolerate it.
The hotel gym looks okay from afar but is barely functional. The cable machine is broken, bolts on the bench are loose, there's only one barbell, and the clips for the barbell are too loose to be safe.
The hotel price does not include access to the spa, which costs around €25 per person for a 90-minute entry.
The elevators are not air-conditioned and get hot quickly - especially when more than two people use them.
We found what was most likely dried urine on our toilet seat, along with pubic hair. We asked reception to send a cleaner to go over the bathroom again. She sprayed everything with a cleaning solution, but the dried urine was still there - at least now it was disinfected pee :)
Walls and doors had various marks: water damage, peeling wallpaper, remnants of masking tape (likely from previous painting), and black or red unidentified stains.
The Neutral:
Our travel agency mixed up our booking, which resulted in us being placed in a lower-quality room than we paid for. Since this was not the hotel's fault, I don’t hold them responsible for that issue.
There seems to be a cockroach problem in Arrecife. It was disgusting to see dead roaches on the hotel floor. While I prefer seeing them dead rather than alive, it would be better if the hotel actually cleaned them up.
Parking is available beneath the hotel for €10 per day.
The Good:
Breakfast is decent, with a wide variety of food.
The hotel is literally on the beach - it can't get any closer, which is great.
The cleaning staff is non-intrusive, and it's easy to agree on a cleaning time with them.
Beds are comfortable, although they are one of those fake double beds (two singles pushed together).

Had a great stay at the hotel. Dinner was full of variety each day. The waiter were all nice and helpful.
I enjoyed especially the pool and the bar next to it. Marti and Julie knew how to make great cocktails.
