Eve
We had a good stay at MYND Yaiza overall and would return. We had half board which was really flexible, you get breakfast plus a daily credit that’s enough to cover dinner for each person, or you can use it on drinks and snacks instead, which worked really well for us as we ate out one night. We felt it was excellent value.
We were placed on the family side rather than the relax side despite not travelling with children. The soundproofing wasn’t the best and we were next to a baby, which was a little disruptive at times, though not enough to bother asking to move. It may have been due to the connecting door between rooms (locked, but likely designed for large groups). We also would’ve preferred a bit more privacy in the bathroom area, as the doors are only frosted glass and didn’t fully seal.
The location is great, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the main seafront. It was clean and staff were always friendly. Meals were good too and we appreciated that it wasn’t overly British-oriented, with plenty of traditional options that changed each night alongside a few safer choices.
Can’t comment on the pools or spa as we’re more beach-goers, but overall a solid stay and worth considering!

What a great hotel! Loved the separate area for those who want peace by the pool rather than kids running about.
The credit system worked well for the half-board option. The food in the buffet was excellent, and I do like trying different foods when on holiday. I kept on going back for more of the fish and meat starters.
The breakfast was fine - if you want an authentic full english every day, then you would be disappointed. But there are restaurants on the nearby seafront that will cater for those needs. I was happy with the cold meats, pate, fruit, and the hot food that was on offer for breakfast. We didn't go to Lamesa as the evening buffet was so good.
The hotel is also well suited in Playa Blanca - a short walk to the beach, and then along the prom to various restaurants and eateries.
The staff were helpful and welcoming - one of those hotels where client satisfaction is key.
Acid test: would I recommend the hotel, and would I go back? The answer to both is a definite YES.

We (mum, dad, daughter (4)) recently spent our second week-long stay at MYND Yaiza. The hotel really hits the value for money sweet spot. The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. Location couldn’t be much better - shortish walk from a fantastic beach, amenities close-by, and some of the island’s highlights are a short drive away if you want to get adventurous (Papagayo, Timanfaya, Puerto Calero for boat tours).
Food was hit and miss. Breakfast was excellent - really good bread, pastries, local jams, honey straight from the comb. They offered hot breakfast too but it didn’t look too appetising. Dinner was so-so. You’re not paying top dollar but we felt it wouldn’t have taken much to elevate it. Hygiene standards seemed high though.
The real highlight of the hotel was the animation team and we’re really missing having Sylvie, Imara and Carmelo hyping up our lives! We especially enjoyed the evening minidiscos and the team really went out of their way to involve our daughter with the bigger kids.
One final tip - we hired a car from Cabrera Medina (5min walk away) for the last few days and were able to drop it off at their airport office on the way home - all very straightforward, convenient and affordable. The island is well worth exploring and private car is the best way to do it (we did a coach tour last time and felt like cattle being herded around).

Service was excellent by so many members of the staff - unfortunately there were too few of them which meant the snack bar at the pool did not provide lunch and when the coffee machine broke around day 4 of our stay this was not fixed by the time we went home on day 10. So many good things to report, the pool areas were varied and immaculate, breakfast choice was ample, lunch not so great or varied in choice and the evening buffet was pretty poor. However the a la carte restaurant was lovely. A few staff really shone, all of the reception staff including Ingrid and Jose mustafa at the bar all went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Room more than adequate and cleaned every day, very clean as were all areas of the hotel. Would recommend to friends who don’t mind a little walk down to the main areas of Playa Blanca.

Came back earlier today. First visit, usually go to Lanzarote Princess, but came here, as thought it was more suitable for a 2 year old.
Lovely welcome and booking in when we arrived at10pm and offered free drinks too. Room was good a superior triple room with a pool view, which was a nice surprise, only downside was no toilet door, just a screen, which really wasn’t happy about. No kettle provided, but got one straightaway when we asked for one. Absolutely spotless and plenty of storage too. Room cleaned, towels replaced, loo rolls provided daily by Daniela, who left us a lovely message on bathroom mirror, which was a nice personal touch. Had my 2 year old grandson with us and he loved the kids club and evening disco. The animation team, Silvia, Sara,Imara and Nira were great with the kids and all the activities too, always on the go and were always happy to help. Thought the credits payment system was really good idea, used ours for drinks some days or pool bar, if we ate out some days. Good choice of food at breakfast but would’ve liked beans/sausages rather than the vegetables provided. Few health and safety issue’s, kids club had concrete flooring and the bouncy animals were very unsteady, so potential for some nasty accidents. Some stairs need to have more handrails, easy to slip fall if a little unsteady.
