My boyfriend and I just finished our stay here for 5 nights as my birthday trip & we had a great time! Daniel with the concierge was amazing, always made sure our stay was running smoothly. I did a ton of research before booking & it was everything I wanted! Food was great, we never had a bad meal but definitely preferred Spumante & Rosewater. The buffet was always good too & we loved the midnight tacos! We stayed on the secrets side mostly we loved the pool, service was consistent & fast. We sat on the beach one morning and had a great view. Our room was perfect & housekeeping was great we had no complaints. The view was everything from sunrise to sunset, we booked an ocean view & would do the same again! The drinks were always strong but enjoyable, we loved stopping in the preferred lounge for some mimosas in the morning. The shows were very entertaining too, we saw the neon show & magic show. Overall we'd definitely recommend and we'd stay again! Remember to tip well the staff are so hard working!

I must say that the resort was nice and clean. The service was good. It was disappointing. They did not have a swim out pool bar. There were a few things that made my stay turn out bad. The water in my room was lukewarm at best. I have stayed at many other resorts and hotels in my life and never had to take a cold -Luke warm shower. I contacted guest services four times and they said that was as good as it gets. Also, I had a swim out pool room and the water outside of it was about 76°. It was too cold to swim in or even take a short dip. Another thing is the main pool in the middle of the resort was also about 76°. There were probably 75 to 100 people around the pool at midday and there was only one or two of them in the pool. I guess they were polar bears. It's a shame the resort so nice if they could not bump the temperature of the water up just a little bit to make it tolerable. My suggestion is not to go to this resort in the winter. I went mid January and I will never do that again. I hope this helps you out. Enjoy yourself and have a good trip.

I stayed at the resort a week before Thanksgiving. I have been to Cancun dozens of times and this is the best overall resort that I have stayed at. The food was very excellent and the layout of the the resort was very inviting. What made this resort so special was the staff. Luis and Andre, the pool activities personnel, were the best I have experienced in a long time. They made a point to speak to every guest around the pool and always asking if there is anything we could do to make my stay better. Cruz and Urbana, the pool waiters, were the best, always making sure I was taken care of. Daniel and Marco, the pool concierges, were always providing fresh towels and always assisting everyone at the pool with their umbrellas and chairs. My favorite waiter was Lucian at the buffet. He always set us at our favorite table and remembered our drinks order religiously. My only criticism would be the ocean. At this time of year it was murky and not pleasant to be in. I’ve stayed at all exclusive places over 30 times and this is the first time I’ve written a review. I can’t say enough good stuff about this Resort. The Breathless Side of the resort was nice but a little loud for my taste. Specialty restaurants were outstanding and I didn’t have to wait long to be seated. I strongly recommend staying here and hope to be back soon

We recently stayed at Secrets Riviera Cancun, and overall, we had a good time—but it wasn’t our favorite Secrets resort. We’ve stayed at other Secrets properties that offered a more elevated and seamless experience.
While the resort is nice, there were several situations and areas that, if handled differently, could have made this stay much better. Maintenance, along with attention to small details and consistency in service, are areas that could use improvement. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not as great as we’ve come to expect from the brand.
That said, what truly made a difference during our stay was the exceptional service from certain team members who went above and beyond:

Overall, we enjoyed our time, but we hope to see improvements that align this property more closely with the high standards we’ve experienced at other Secrets resorts.

My wife and I went there for our honeymoon and everything was better than expected.
The room was more spacious than it appeared in the pictures. The shower was especially large with dual rain heads. The view on the gardens, which are beautiful, was perfect for us. The room and everything in it was perfectly clean.
At the pool Daniel and Cruze were always making sure everyting was perfect for us. Luis was great fun!
At the mexican restaurant Diego greeted us perfectly, remembering my favorite drink as soon as the second time we went there. He always made sure we had a drink and that everything was the way we wanted.
The highlight certainly was the rosewater restaurant, reserved for the secrets side clients. We mainly ate there and everything we had was better than the last meal. More than the food, the service was impeccable. Sylvio, whi was super friendly, really has a great team. Raul at the bar made sure I got everything i wanted, even special request, while answering every questions I had about hot peppers (gracias por el serrano) and was great to chat with. Balthazar gave us excellent service when we sat at a table instead of the bar. Andres answered all my tacos questions and was very friendly.
It may take a few years because we want to travel with kids, but we sure will return.
