Wow! What a phenomenal resort. On top of the amazing premium room and beautiful well kept resort the service in the buffet is wonderful. Fidelio and Selene are incredible. Selene is always on top of her game and offers amazing service. She knew all of my families names and her and Fidelio would always greet us with a smile. Before I would even sit down my latte and juice would be waiting for me. I would never have to ask for a second one because Selene could read my
mind. Fabulous 5 star service. We will definitely be back.

Selene Zurita in the beach buffet was absolutely incredible from day 1 in our 6 day get away. She was friendly and really truly easy to laugh and get along with. Drinks never went dry, and she took the time to remember our names and likes. The very best experience I’ve had with n my travels. Her partner George was als excellent with speed and personality. Couldn’t have asked for a better time. Thank you infinitely for everything!

This was my first time at Barcelo Maya Beach and my wife and I had an amazing week. The resort is massive but very well laid out and easy to navigate. The beach is beautiful, very well manicured and plenty of palm trees for shade. The water is a little rocky until about 20-30 feet out and then it’s smooth white sand, goes from about waist deep to shoulder deep. Nice clean pools, they look almost brand new. Room was tidy and minibar restocked daily. The dining is excellent, we particularly enjoyed Tokyo and La Trattoria, and the buffets are pretty good too. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will certainly be returning to Barcelo in the future!

I have been to this property 18 times and for years avoided the Mexico Lindo restaurant. Now I know that I have been missing out! The atmosphere is my favorite on the entire property, absolutely beautiful! Javier Muñoz is the manager and he has prepared his staff with excellence! Linsey the hostess was kind, professional, and a true delight. Best Mango margaritas and sueros made by the bartender! And our server Salvador and Miguel were on point with the absolute best service! I plan to come here again before we depart because it was a wonderful evening!! Here is a pic of Salvador and Miguel with my beautiful friends.

Recently returned from a 7 day stay at the resort. The entire resort is well maintained and very clean. Staff is friendly but few understand the English language. Used my google translator. Once the resort is figured out , it is very easy to move about. There are many maps of the whole resort around but because it is so large, the map is difficult to read. People with walk Issues may encounter difficulties getting around. The bus going throughout is a lifesaver but still lots of walking.
I would not rate this resort as a 5 Star for a number of reasons. The beach is the worst I’ve ever encountered. The water was beautiful but the ocean floor is uneven and extremely difficult to get in and out. Pools were beautiful.
The buffet food was okay for a day or 2 but the same food each day. They use so much pasta in different forms and I was disappointed to see the pizza crust came from a bag. Eating gluten free was extremely hard.
The Bandit buffet is better than the larger buffet but not open in the evening. Stokers lounge offers a small menu and we found chicken wings here.
