I came to barcelo maya caribe 10 years ago and decided to come to tropical this time , I have been here 2 days so far and had to leave a review. The service is amazing , every staff member have been incredible . Its rare to get good service at the buffets and always wait around to order a couple of sodas but here absolutely not the service is A1 ! As soon as I enter the buffet whether its for breakfast,lunch or dinner I am immediately seated and attended to with requests. The food is very good and fresh as well with a great variety of choices. Im very suprised and will be returning here in the future as well as being a top recommendation for friends and family !
Edit: my only complaint is the mattresses are sunk in and completely dead , and the shower head is too close to the drain either need to extend or have a handheld shower head would be the best!

It is a wonderful place to visit. The food is very good. The servers take good care of you and are very kind. They know that you are here on vacation and are happy to treat you that way. The grounds are beautiful and a joy to relax and have fun on. Also shoutout to Aureliano at the Grill Palmerae who was very attentive and kind to me!

This place is beautiful, the rooms are filled with AC. You get a cute balcony outside where you can overlook the yards. The servers and workers are all so lovely, they are always around to make sure you get what you need. The beach is beautiful you can go snorkeling and see all the fish and even sometimes sea turtles! Watch where you step when walking around the paths though cause the iguanas love to sunbathe where you walk! If you want to go to a nice resort highly recommend This place!

All the Restaurants are amazing! Santa Fe had the best steaks. Jorge, the waiter was excellent waiter. Buffets are OK but not great. Lots of junk food and white bread.
Overall stay is at 3 star. Beach is VERY rocky and colonial rooms are due for an upgrade. There were only 2 electrical outlets for the whole room.

Our stay at Barceló Maya Tropical was absolutely unforgettable! This was our family’s very first trip to Mexico, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to experience it.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. Their hospitality was truly outstanding, and every employee we encountered was kind, friendly, and eager to help. One moment that really stood out was when my daughter accidentally lost her AirPods. The staff went above and beyond to help us search for them, and their genuine care and dedication meant so much to our family.
We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, fun entertainment, beautiful pools, and all the amazing amenities the resort has to offer. It was the little details and thoughtful touches throughout our stay that made this vacation feel extra special.
This trip exceeded all of our expectations and truly felt like a dream. We’re leaving with wonderful memories and heavy hearts because we’re so sad to go. Thank you, Barceló Maya Tropical, for making our first trip to Mexico such an incredible experience. We can’t wait to come back!
