Phenomenal hotel in every respect. From the moment we arrived, we felt that the staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Clean, elegant, and exceptionally delicious. No crowds, no intrusive animations. Quiet, peaceful, and of a high standard. We travel all over the world and stay in many hotels, but we’ve never relaxed as deeply as we did at MUR.
Special thanks to Mr. Fabio Alonso for his help, kindness, and professional service — his work meets the highest standards.
We’ve found our place for many future holidays. See you again!

We have stayed at this hotel 17 times
It’s location is very convenient facing the lighthouse and is a short distance along the boardwalk to the fabulous beach. It is very welcoming with friendly attentive staff, although we did think this year they could do with increasing staff numbers.
It is very clean from bedrooms to all the public places and the swimming pool is cleaned regularly. The breakfast and evening meals are buffet style with show cooking, for anyone taking the all inclusive option lunch is waiter service on the terrace. Most guests are German with a very small minority of English and Spanish. We will definitely stay here again.

We spent 10 days in this lovely hotel in room 436 and 437 and really enjoyed our time here.
The rooms are spacious and the beds are firm but very comfortable. The cleaners kept our room spotless everyday and even folded any clothes that were left out. Floors were mopped every day too and towels changed as often as we liked. Very hard working and friendly cleaning staff!
The restaurant had a great selection of breakfast items in the buffet, the usual bacon and eggs, spanish omelet, pancake & omelets-to-order station, salad bar, a great variety of breads, cheeses and cold cut meats and a large station for yoghurts, smoothies, granola, cereal etc. The restaurant staff were also very hard working and kind, just like the cleaning staff. Special mention to Pepe who always had a friendly smile and kind greeting each morning and evening despite being very busy!
The dinner buffet was fine, although we chose to eat out a lot in the evenings to take in the atmosphere of Morro Jable. Oh and yes, there is a strict dress code for men only during evening dinner hours in the restaurant: have to wear long trousers, no bare legs on show! A bit dated maybe but those are the rules.
The dinner buffet has a delicious dessert station with so many gorgeous desserts, too many to mention! It was the best part of the dinner buffet!
The spa facilities were really good too as were the main pool area, although unfortunately the spa was shut down half way through our stay due to parts of the roof collapsing! But the sauna and cold plunge bath was still working which were very good. Kids are allowed in the spa between 12 noon and 1pm but outside of those hours it's for adults only.
The nicest thing about the main pool area was that none of the guests reserved any of the sun loungers early in the morning as you would see in other hotels. People were really respectful of the rule of no reserving chairs with towels or personal effects at the crack of dawn, so there was no stress of having to find a spot even after 9/10am or later because there would be plenty of chairs available. It really was so relaxing not having to worry about this! :)
The staff at the check-in desk were also really lovely. They keep the golf clubs for the mini golf behind the main desk and also the little ping pong rackets and balls and they had plenty of change whenever we needed coins for the pool table. There's a very large tennis court area in the hotel which the kids used for playing football also, very handy in the evening when it was a bit cooler. There's also a little playground near the toddlers pool area which was shaded by the palm trees, great for the youngest guests.
If you have a hire car, the hotel has a secure underground car park which they charge €10 per day for.
All in all, i would recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in Morro Jable, near the beach, nice restaurants and decent shopping. The mix of people staying here were very varied, families, couples young and old, friends, solo travellers (majority were German) which was lovely to see.

Second time here - and most staff are the same - with the same care and smiling service. The holiday was perfect, the food excellent and the facilities just as good as the first stay last year!
In all we returned here as it was that good first time and the impression now is just the same. A lovely hotel on a lovely part of Fuertuventura!
For the absolute proof, you can see why so many return again and again!

I’ve traveled quite a lot and stayed in many different types of places, and I always try to approach new accommodations with an open mind. This was our fifth time in Fuerteventura. On all previous trips, we stayed in private apartments or houses. This was the first time we booked a hotel on the island, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve had.
Our booking included breakfast and dinner (half-pension), but only when we checked in were we told that men are required to wear long trousers at dinner. This was never mentioned at the time of booking. It’s the kind of thing that should absolutely be communicated in advance, especially considering this is a beach destination, not a luxury resort. We didn’t bring anything suitable, and we were there for a relaxed beach holiday. Because of this, we didn’t have a single dinner at the hotel.
The breakfast the next morning didn’t improve things. It was bland, outdated, and reminded me of something you’d find in the 80s. There was no real variety and nothing felt fresh.
Worse still, my wife ended up with food poisoning after eating breakfast at the hotel. She had stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever, and chills. The symptoms began just a few hours later and lasted for several days, making it really hard for her to enjoy the trip or even rest properly.
I told the hotel staff what happened, thinking they would at least check the food at the buffet or show some concern. Instead, I was met with total indifference. One receptionist even suggested my wife got sick from somewhere else, which is ridiculous because she had only eaten at the hotel. The complete lack of accountability or basic empathy was very disappointing.
After explaining that we didn’t feel safe eating at the hotel anymore and wouldn’t be using the meals included in our booking, I asked if we could get a partial refund for the dinners. The answer was a flat-out no. “There’s nothing we can do.” We also tried to contact Booking.com multiple times by email and phone, but never got a reply. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com followed up with us.
We tried to make the best of the situation, but the experience really affected our holiday and left us frustrated.
Another issue was the water. We were given only three small bottles of water for our entire 8-day stay. That’s it. In a hot destination like this, it just feels cheap and unreasonable. How much does a bottle of water a day cost a large hotel chain? It felt like they were cutting corners at every opportunity.
Our room on the ground floor also came with issues. Every morning, cigarette smoke would drift into the room from outside, and housekeeping started cleaning nearby rooms around 7 AM. So forget about sleeping in. If you’re hoping for a restful and relaxing stay, this isn’t the place.
The only real positive was the location. It’s central and convenient. But that alone doesn’t make up for the many problems. The photos on booking websites are very flattering and do not reflect reality. The gym and spa are in poor condition, with peeling paint and old equipment that clearly hasn’t been maintained in years.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The whole place feels dated and uninspired, just like the broader tourist development in Morro Jable. It’s clear that the focus is on mass tourism rather than quality or authenticity.
We’ve been visiting Fuerteventura for more than five years now, and it’s sad to see how short-sighted development is changing the island. This hotel is a good example of that: overpromising, underdelivering, and showing no real care for guest satisfaction. In our case, it even became a health risk.
In short: I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a normal vacation in exchange for your hard-earned money.
