I love Alua Village so much I have been 5 times. The location is ideal with the most beautiful beach that I enjoy walking along twice daily. Always have my club and find it worth the extra, even as non-drinker. The hotel is kept spotless with room cleaned to good standards on a daily basis. The food is very good and I have absolutely no complains. The gym could be better but does the job whilst being on holiday. Rooms are nice although some need updated. I am sure I will be back again.

The room is very nice, providing towels, tea cups, teabags, a mini fridge, a water boiler, a TV, a landline, a stand to dry towels and other amenities. Some of the buildings on the grounds have cracks. There's an exposed cable here and there, but overall things are decently kept.
The place has quite some "wildlife" intruding, the least assertive of them cats roaming the areal, which I regard positively, though I know not everyone would. Sparrow, pigeons and egrets stalk Terra's terrace, and are a bit bolder than some guests are comfortable with.
The pools outside are not heated and the ones inside are heated mildly. Still, the whirlpool whirls, which is nice. The steam room isn't particularly steamy.
The free WiFi is a bit of a joke as it's very slow.
The wait- and barstaff has been friendly and accommodating, even though at times plates filled with food and just plain fruits have been "cleaned" off our table while just grabbing a drink. It's unfortunately hard to fault the wait staff for that, since I had to observe other guests leaving full plates behind frequently.
The food is a mixed bag.
Speaking for Terra: The range of available foods is commendable, with some fresh vegetables, Cold cuts, cheese, pasta, pizza, grilled fish, rice, polenta or risotto, hotdogs, burgers, meat, potatoes, cooked vegetables, sweets, ice cream, joghurt, fresh fruits, canned fruit, and bread. For drinks there's a variety of sodas, wines and water. For breakfast there's also eggs, bacon, sausages, croissants, toast, oats, juices, milk and more.
The actual quality was a bit subpar though. Most cooked vegetables were preserved (frozen), which impacted quality, but is understandable considering volume and logistics. The meats were unfortunately often dry just as the fish, the bacon is soggy instead of crispy, the rice is often a bit undercooked, the risotto dry, the wines somewhat sour and I could go on.
Enyesque, the other restaurant mostly not included in all-inclusive, on the other hand was a very positive experience. The portions were modest but the quality was good. Including the house wine.
The beach is a small walk away but the distance is manageable for anyone with working legs. The sand is nice and great for burying a buddy for fun.

Great staff, but language barriers and food variety need improvement I have mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel is spacious and looks nice at first glance, but it is clearly in need of some refreshment and better maintenance.
What frustrated me the most was the animation program. Before arriving, I asked if activities would be conducted or translated into English. Despite being told yes, almost everything was held exclusively in French. The animators seemed nice, but because I don't speak French, I was unable to participate in any of the attractions. This was very disappointing.
The food was quite monotonous, despite the "themed evenings" (Asian, Spanish, Italian, etc.) which didn't differ much from one another. Additionally, there seemed to be a shortage of staff to refill the buffet—many trays remained empty for too long.
* The Pros: I really appreciated the availability of plant-based milks (oat, almond, soy) and gluten-free snacks.
* Cleanliness: The dining area was kept clean, and plates were cleared quickly, though some dishes were not washed thoroughly.
* "Ocean View" Disappointment: I booked a room with an ocean view, but it didn't live up to the promise. From my balcony, the main view was of another building, with the ocean only visible in the background.
* Technical Issues: The rainfall showerhead was clogged with limescale, causing the water to spray unevenly. It definitely needs replacing.
* Housekeeping: The rooms were cleaned daily upon request. The cleaning staff was wonderful, kind, and very professional.
I found the token system for drinks to be a great idea. Guests had to trade a token for a cup and vice versa. This encouraged everyone to keep track of their cups, resulting in a much cleaner pool area and less plastic waste.
Good location, close to the local town and shops. The walk to the ocean takes about 5 minutes downhill.
The hotel has great potential and amazing staff, but it needs to improve its communication (multilingual animations) and food variety. If you don't speak French, you might feel left out of the hotel's social life.

The place is fantastic! The staff were beyond helpful and lovely, the swimming pools are excellent to relax, specially in the jacuzzi haha, the food was beautiful, every night you have a different type of food, and night events, the walk to the beach is a short 5/10 min walk downhill, and the way up is nothing difficult or hard! We even saw old people walking it with no problems at all! You can also see some chipmunks on your way up/down from the beach.
The rooms were tidy and clean, and for those who we love cats, the place has so many around there that is beautiful!
Would definitely be back and 100% recommend!

This hotel was one of the nicest hotel experiences my family and I have had. The staff are friendly, the food is tasty and varied and the pools are wonderful. Many reviews on here bemoan the boring food, but that is categorically untrue. If you wish, you could have a different meal every day for an entire week and still have things left to try. The animation team, although mostly French, were polite, chatty and very accommodating to us Brits. Ignore other reviews to the contrary. My daughter took part in the Mini-club on a couple of occasions and loved it. The pools are very warm and beautifully clean, there was always a sunbed available with no issue and the walk to the beach is, although steep, perfectly manageable for most people. The beer is real San Miguel (not watered down) and is freely available.
The beds are comfortable, the rooms are air conditioned and the shower was powerful enough.
The only negatives I can suggest are that the rooms are a little dated and in need of a spruce up, the inclusive cocktails are arent great, and the hotel could benefit from a second bar in the evenings for guests who don't prefer the entertainment (which can be quite loud).
I wouldn't bother with the My favourite club as it really doesn't seem worth it for what you get.
My family and I would jump at the chance to go next year if we can!
