The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained. During our stay, the second pool was being renovated, but it didn't bother us in any way, in fact it was nice to see that someone actually cares about the visual aspect. The rooms are spacious and clean, cleaned every day. The cleaning staff and reception staff are very nice, friendly, smiling and helpful. Unfortunately, that's all the pluses. The food is boring, repetitive, often poorly prepared. We expected a low standard of food from such a cheap all-inclusive offer, but what we got was very basic. The birds that ate from the bowls were chased away, and the bowls continued to be left on the buffet as if nothing had happened. Carbonated drinks were not available during breakfast, and the water, tea or coffee smelled of chlorine. As for alcohol, some bartenders tried to charge us for something that was in the all-inclusive offer, which we also didn't like and made us prefer to buy alcohol in the store than constantly ask for it. As for the animation team, this was the thing that bothered us the most. If you don't speak French, forget about any interaction with them. All the entertainment during the day or in the evening was only in French, and if you tried to take part in it, you were ignored. I wouldn't go back to this hotel again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel is beautiful and decently maintained. Location is also great as you are close to a nice beach and town. However, food is just repetitive and low quality, with often dishes being extremely salty. For a short stay I would recommend it but if you are staying more than 4 nights, choose another hotel with better food.

Fantastic hotel in a stunning location. Amazing views from the pool / terrace area. Rooms spotless and really well equipped. Food is excellent and the staff are really friendly and helpful (especially Lucia!). Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 👍

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and honestly don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews.
In our opinion, the value for money is very good — it’s a cheaper hotel compared to others in the area, but we thought it was great.
The food selection was excellent. Although we don’t eat meat, there were still plenty of options: lots of vegetables, fish, legumes, potatoes, sauces, and more.
The restaurant staff were amazing — very friendly, hardworking, and fast. We have really fond memories of them; they made every meal feel pleasant and well-organized.
The drinks at the bar were a bit disappointing — the beer was average, and the smoothies and ice cream were just okay. But everything else was definitely on the plus side.
One of the pools was under renovation, but that didn’t bother us because the other pool was huge. The only downside was that all the sunbeds were gathered around that one pool, so it could get crowded and sometimes hard to find a spot.
The rooms were clean and fairly spacious, and the whole facility was tidy. You can tell that a lot of staff are working hard and doing their best to keep everything running smoothly.
The beach by the hotel is beautiful. The path down is quite steep, but the views are absolutely worth it.
The biggest downside for us was the entertainment. Like many others, we don’t understand why the animations are only in French. If the entertainers are working for a French travel agency, then maybe those activities should be kept just for their guests. But they’re open to everyone — yet if you don’t speak French, you’re excluded from the start.
The entertainers only engaged with French guests, who often seemed uninterested anyway, while many Spanish, English, or Polish guests would have gladly joined in.
It was also quite ridiculous that during the evening shows, French songs were played!!! it made the whole thing feel even more closed-off and unwelcoming for non-French speakers.
It’s a real shame, because if it weren’t for this one issue, we would definitely come back.

Spent 7nights at Alua Village - 10th-17th aug 2025. On the whole it was a really enjoyable and most importantly for us relaxing holiday.
I read all of the reviews before and after booking and saw it was a very mixed bag so thought I’d give a balanced view
I booked through sunshine holidays - first time I’ve ever used them and have to say they were perfect at keeping in touch. Kept up to date on absolutely everything so cannot fault them.
Transfer from airport (shuttle bus) took approx 90mins.
In arrival booking in was easy - 10€ deposit for towel which was refunded at the end.
The pool areas was kept clean and tidy. Plenty of sunbeds but as expected people were out at daft o’clock reserving them and never used them.
The hotel main building was kept clean and tidy. Few shops for the essentials on site.
Toilets were kept clean also.
The hotel is more geared up for French visitors, so if the evening entertainment or kids club is what you need from a holiday then this wouldn’t be the place for you.
Food: I saw lots of bad reviews on this. The way I look at it is- if you are wanting traditional English food stay at home and have a roast. There was a wide variety over the week with themed food nights. There is also an a le carte restaurant which was amazing. You get 1 free meal there per week stay
We were all inclusive and made the most of the food and drinks.
Drinks are free poured (alcohol) soft drinks you could help yourself to all day long.
There are 4 pools. 3 outdoor and 1 indoor with spa/jaccuzi
Massages and wellness treatments available at extra cost which is comparable to uk prices
If booking trips or excursions - do not use the tui rep on site. We booked 2 trips and nearly never got to go on either. Thankfully the tour guides were aware of his lack of attention to sharing details and allowed us to board the catamaran trip and jet ski tour but it was close and technically they shouldn’t have. Best off booking online.
We too a taxi to Jandia for a night out - shops open until 10pm. Lots of tapas bars etc and food and drinks really well priced. The cost of taxi is 10€ each way
The rooms: they were spacious. No tea or coffee facilities. No water in fridge. Large balcony with 2 chairs and table. Laundry drying line. Decor was plain. Aircon not great but was ok. Didn’t work on the 1st night at all and we were melting. Maintenance fixed immediately on reporting.
The rooms were kept clean and tidy. Fresh towels daily.
My only gripe would be is it’s very dated and needs attention to detail.
Flooring in diner and rooms you could see lifting which could be a massive trip hazard.
Beach: the hotel is situated over 10m above the beach. It’s one heck of a steep hike in the heat to get from the beach back up to the room area and main hotel. If you have any breathing difficulties or mobility issues it’s just not do able.
The beach however was beautiful with snack bars toilets etc. the only downside is they charge you for sunbeds while on the beach.
On the whole we had a very relaxing time which is what we went for. The staff were lovely. Sara was wonderful (ents team) they all work very hard.
The hotel is rated 4* but having travelled quite a bit I would say it’s an honest 3*
