Overall, SBH Maxorata Resort was okay and I would rate it closer to a 3-star hotel than a 4-star. The hotel is clean and in a great location, with the beach opposite and shops and restaurants within walking distance. There is also a good choice of pools. However, the hotel is in need of maintenance and refurbishment. The food was repetitive, often not very hot, and the snack bar served the same things every day. We were also disappointed that the second restaurant was closed throughout our stay. Most bar staff, waiters and the animation team were friendly, but some reception staff came across as moody and rude. Charging €4.50 per day to use the room safe was ridiculous. A lovely touch was the birthday surprise – a bottle of cava, a card and a specially decorated dinner table, which was much appreciated. Overall, there were some positives, but I expected more from a 4-star hotel.

I was here for two weeks and can definitely recommend this hotel. The staff was always very friendly and nice, especially the bar staff like Manuel and Adriana, a cook and one of the ladies in the restaurant, and the reception chief always had a smile and some sweet greetings for you. My room was located at the 3rd level, a regular double bed room for me alone, with a lot of clean space and a comfortable bed. The room provided some hangers perfectly for your clothes, washing stuff for showering, two mirrors (one in bathroom, one body mirror in the floor), clean towels, a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold, and a lot more stuff. My room got cleaned and the towels got changed daily. The food changes every day, from rice and chicken to lasagna, some salads and bread, desserts and a few drinks. The bar has some drink options like regular soda drinks, beer and cocktails/mocktails. The pool (I mainly stayed at the one with two) was cold but once you got in you will definitely get used to it. They also had an adorable orange cat around, always loved to pet the little sweetie. The hotel is very family friendly, with different events throughout the day, such as Kids Disco and Karaoke at evening in the salon bar, or Aqua activities in the pool. There are a lot of shops and some restaurants nearby with a lot of variety so you will definitely find something there, if you don’t want to spend the whole day in the hotel only. The beach was very close, and the view was very beautiful. I was here with my dad, and no matter if you’re alone or with family/a loved one, with a disability or not, the service will make you feel included and satisfy you. I hope to come back one day for the great people working and the nice time spent here, I really enjoyed my stay.

After reading some of the reviews was abit nervous about staying here. The hotel is in a good location, good views, very close to the beach and local shops. Food was okay, a good selection, always warmish, didnt eat at the pool bar but always looked like a good selection. Good selection of drinks at pool bar. Staff were friendly and helpful Hotel rooms were always clean and tidy however hotel needs some serious maintenance, could do with a really good freshen up, and more attention to cleaning in communal areas, especially as this is a 4 star hotel. Could also do with a second bar as the only bar is around the busiest pool and the other pools are abit far from the pool bar. Also a warning that the transfer is a long one from the aiport. Could also maybe do with some more up to date sunbeds ( always plenty around the pool though) Spa was a little disappointing, sauna was out of order and was abit disappointed no indoor pool. Although the massage was lovely and the staff very nice. Overall a nice stay, nice weather, okay food. But would I stay here again no

I stayed at SBH for a short solo break at the end of March 2026. I’ll admit, the mixed reviews made me a bit nervous beforehand, but to be honest, the hotel is lovely. Yes, some areas are a little tired and could benefit from a refurbishment, but nothing that negatively impacted my stay. My room was cleaned every day no matter what time I left, I returned to a freshly made bed and new towels. The housekeeping team absolutely deserves a 10/10. The food is what you’d expect from a standard all-inclusive nothing exceptional, but perfectly fine. The drinks offered plenty of variety, including English and Italian options, plus cocktails and shots. Lots to choose from. The staff were absolutely amazing. From housekeeping, who kept my room spotless throughout, to the bartenders who remained attentive and friendly even during busy periods to the waitstaff, who worked incredibly hard. I rarely saw an empty glass left on a table for long. A special mention goes to the animation team, especially Luca, Isa, Moris, and Minea, who made my experience from morning poolside to evening entertainment truly enjoyable. They really deserve recognition. Overall, I had a great stay. There’s no need to worry about the exaggerated negative comments, i would personally return.

Rooms was lovely and clean had everything we needed and more cleaners cleaned everyday and given fresh towels we was given a tour services was explained what was included in the all inclusive including spa, food, drinks, gym, and plenty other facilities!! There is a on site shop with essentials and perfect for if you have forgotten something. The hotel walks straight out on to the beach and within a 5 minute walk there is a strip all the way down full of restaurants bars shops! Food was a very mixed with seafood chicken pork beef and plenty more options! The entertainment team was amazing! Very inclusive included all guest from all age ranges Luca and mortiz was amazing! Full engery at all times provided activities daily and night and always something different never repeated the same activity! There is a kids mini disco which even with just 1 child they would still up and continue the show and then do the adult one! Music was amazing was a mix of all types of music English, spanish, german, french and was always open to requests! Bar staff was lovely and had chatty conversations with customers and was always willing to help find a drink for me as someone who is very picky🙈 snack bar offers a variety of food daily and ice creams for the children and adults which is help urself to! Ive not one bad thing to say about this hotel i read reviews before coming and was abit scared for what i was going to be in for but for the price and everything included i can not complain and i will be back!! BIG SHOUTOUT TO LUCA AND MORTIZ FROM ANIMATION TEAM YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND DESERVE ALL THE CREDIT YOU MADE ARE WEEK AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO BEING BACK!
