We’ve just returned from our stay at the Hovima and what a great week we had!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly reception team with a glass of fizz and checked us in smoothly!
Nice, spacious clean rooms. Great roof top bar which is the perfect spot to enjoy the evening sunset (with another glass or two)
A big shout out to David (the young waiter) in the main restaurant who went out of his way each time to look after us and provided a great customer service! He’s a credit to the hotel team.
We will definitely be returning in the future!

In early November 2025 my wife and I stayed for a week a Hovima Suites Costa Adeje and what an excellent holiday we had.
Ever part of our stay we could not fault. Reception was excellent, booked in very quickly without issue and we were offered a choice of drinks. On arrival at our room it was spotless and the size of the accomodation was unbelievable. Room cleaned every day if you want.
We were all inclusive, food was really lovely and a great selection to choose from.
There are three pools and the one we used was adults only. No issues over sun loungers as there are plenty, the pool and surrounds were so clean. Each day there were pool activities and drinks and food available at the pool bar. Very generous measures and a lot of local drinks but the lager and a good few of the spirits were branded drinks. You could upgrade but felt no need.
Entertainment at night was very good.
We will definately go back and infact we are in the process of booking next November.
Excellent hotel and you won't be disappointed.
Our stay was great value for money.
A must do is the rooftop bar what a view, this bar you have to pay for the drinks but we'll worth it.

Very disappointing experience – not worthy of a four-star hotel
Extremely poor check-in procedure
Upon arrival on December 29, 2025, the check-in process was extremely inadequate. It took more than three hours to complete. We had to walk through the hotel multiple times with all our luggage, our key card did not work, and we were repeatedly sent back to the reception desk.
We were travelling with a two-year-old child who had just completed a flight of over five hours and urgently needed rest. Eventually, a room change was decided, which again required us to move all our belongings. Only after this were we finally given a room where our child could sleep.
Disturbance, feeling unsafe, and inappropriate hotel atmosphere
The type of guests and their behavior did not match the expectations of a four-star hotel in any way. The atmosphere felt more like a party hotel than a family-friendly resort.
There was continuous disturbance from groups of guests who were loud, heavily intoxicated, arguing, and walking noisily through the corridors late in the evening and at night. The hotel failed to intervene adequately.
Hygiene was also lacking: trash was left lying around, full glasses of alcohol were unattended, and used diapers were visible in public areas.
Incorrect execution of the all-inclusive concept (drinks)
Upon arrival, there was only one small bottle of mineral water in the room. When we requested more, we were told this was not possible and that additional water had to be paid for, despite a seven-night stay for three people, including a two-year-old child.
Alcoholic drinks were available without limitation, while mineral water was not included. As an alternative, tap water with a strong chlorine taste was offered, which was not a safe or acceptable option for us or our child.
This does not align with the expectations of an all-inclusive stay.
Misleading information and poor maintenance
The presentation of the hotel on the TUI website (photos and descriptions) does not reflect reality. The first room we were assigned was outdated and dirty. Throughout the hotel, there were signs of poor maintenance, dirty corridors, mold, and insufficient cleaning.
Bed linen was changed only once per week, while the room visibly remained unclean. We consider the discrepancy between the online presentation and the actual condition of the hotel to be misleading.
Additionally, the tapas restaurant mentioned on the website did not exist. Instead, there was an Italian restaurant of lower quality than the buffet.
Improper handling of a medical emergency
On January 4, our two-year-old daughter suffered a medical emergency. When we contacted the reception, they initially refused to call an ambulance and instead discussed potential costs.
Only after repeated and urgent insistence was an ambulance finally called. We find this extremely concerning, as the staff was clearly unprepared to handle a medical emergency.
After returning from the hospital, there was no follow-up, empathy, or support from the hotel whatsoever.

Great stay, amazing food and location
We really enjoyed our stay and can honestly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Pros:
Location: Perfect spot, just a few minutes' walk to the beach and the promenade.
Food: We had half board and it was excellent. Great variety and delicious food.
Staff: Very kind and helpful throughout our stay.
Pools: The heated pools were a big plus.
The only downside:
The only thing I have to criticize is the "towel reservation" habit. Guests start putting towels on sunbeds as early as 7 AM, even though they don't actually use them (see photo). The pool area stays empty, but all sunbeds are "taken." The hotel should really look into this.
Overall, it's a fantastic hotel and we would definitely come back!

Lovely hotel. Staying here with my husband. Enjoying the food and location. Plenty of choice in the restaurant. Staff friendly and service good. Restaurant staff clear tables and nothing too much trouble for them. The animation team do their best to entertain guests. The shows have been OK but very standard except for the Latino night show. Those three guys were amazing and really got the crowd on their feet. We got up dancing and by the end of the night most people were up. The best show so far. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. The hotel provide a complementary bottle of water on arrival in the fridge but it isn't replenished after that. You can fill up water at the bar as much as you want but the hotel seem to be cutting down on waste plastics etc. We are all inclusive so there are no issues with drinks and the bar staff friendly and helpful. Make sure you bring your own toiletries except hand soaps. The extra things aren't provided. Pool towels can be obtained via the spa at no deposit just card given on arrival but make sure you take the towels to reception when you are leaving for them to check them off. The adult pool gets most of it's sun the furthest area away from the pool bar. Around the pool bar it's quite shady but the sun during the early part of the day is in the open tv middle bar area. Plenty to see outside the hotel and on the front. We've been into playa de las américas and Cristianos. Adeje is a lovely place to stay though. All together a great hotel.
