From the very first moment, we felt completely welcome and warmly cared for at the Lara Barut Collection – from check-in to departure, everything was both professional and personal. Even the "standard" Deluxe Lagoon room exudes a true sense of luxury: modern design, ample space, close pool acces, and an overall very high-quality ambiance. The hotel's cuisine is of a very high standard, with a wide selection, exquisite quality, and lovingly presented dishes, making every day a culinary highlight.

We would especially like to commend all the staff at the hotel: without exception, everyone is warm, friendly, helpful, and at the same time extremely professional – we haven't experienced such a high level of service in a long time. A special thank you goes to the wonderful Guest Relations team, whom we wouldn't want to be without: they always took the time to answer our daily questions, and even in "unusual" situations – like when we thought a small snake was drowning in the lagoon pool – they reacted immediately and took care of everything right away. Dilara, Fehrad, Yadigar, and Berat are simply wonderful and perfectly embody the spirit of this hotel, where the phrase "with pleasure" truly resonates in every interaction.
We first visited Turkey in January 2026 and immediately found our "happy place" at the Lara Barut Collection – so much so that our next trip is already booked for March this year.

It was an absolutely amazing experience. I’ve tried several resorts in Antalya, and this one was by far the best.
The service was exceptional .. the staff are truly well-trained and know exactly how to treat their guests. The vibes were great, the food was very good, and the app made everything easier by showing the full program and all the facilities.
The spa was incredible. I’m truly grateful to Dani for her professional, fabulous massage and Turkish hammam , the best I’ve ever had.
It’s genuinely a wonderful place with excellent staff and a variety of room options, whether you prefer having a private pool or not. We will definitely come back.

We stayed for 10 nights in February, booked via Jet2, and upgraded to a suite months before travelling. Overall, we had a lovely holiday, but there were several issues that didn’t match five-star expectations.
Room Upgrade Issue
Jet2 failed to pass on our paid suite upgrade (their error). On arrival, we were taken to a standard room. We provided evidence and Jet2 resolved it within 20 minutes. However, reception then told us the upgraded room type was full and we would need to wait until the next day. We were told there was only one of that room type, which isn’t accurate — there are around 20, and several were visibly empty and available to book throughout our stay.
We didn’t expect anything free — just the room we had already paid for. The handling felt deflected rather than proactively resolved. This was disappointing for a five-star hotel.
Communication
Staff work hard and speak multiple languages, which we appreciate. However, English at reception often lacked confidence, and simple arrangements (transfers, ordering flowers) required extra effort or a second staff member. In a five-star hotel, reception should feel seamless.
Drinks Quality
This was the most consistent issue. Cocktails were very inconsistent — sometimes fine, often poorly mixed and rarely cold. We observed minimal shaking before serving. Ingredients weren’t the issue; preparation and consistency were. Wine and beer were fine, but overall drink quality did not meet five-star standards.
Upselling
We were asked daily about spa bookings. Promotion is understandable, but it became repetitive and slightly pushy during a quieter winter season.
The Positives
The majority of staff are friendly, energetic, and attentive. Abdurrahman and Hagar were exceptional and truly enhanced our stay.
We celebrated my partner’s 30th birthday during our visit, and the service that evening — especially from Abdurrahman — was outstanding. The flowers, balloon, and sparkling wine were thoughtful touches and much appreciated.
The suite itself was fantastic. The Turkish bath, layout, outdoor space, housekeeping, and turn-down service were excellent. Complimentary room service was a great addition.
Food was consistently good across the resort. We didn’t have a bad meal. À la carte restaurants were enjoyable, though slow and difficult to book. Some English menu translations could be improved.
The grounds, pools, and beach areas are beautifully maintained. After storms, staff were out early cleaning — that level of care was clear.
Overall
At present, this feels like a strong 4-star experience rather than a true 5-star standard, particularly in winter season. A luxury hotel needs consistency in service, drinks quality, and issue resolution — and there were too many gaps across a 10-day stay for this to feel like a one-off.
We still had a good holiday thanks to the Jet2 deal. Had we paid full direct rates, we may have felt differently about value.
We might consider returning in peak summer — but would be unlikely to visit again in winter unless service consistency improves.

My partner and I stayed here in Dec 2025 and it was wonderful, our first time in Turkey. Food was great, the complex was beautiful and the staff were friendly. The weather was also great which meant we were able to enjoy the outdoor heated pool and the private beach. There was also a cat house that you could visit! Would recommend and would return!

Excellent Family Resort
Amazing experience overall at Lara Barut Collection! Truly a premium, very kid-friendly resort. The Barut Star kids club was fantastic—our 6-year-old enjoyed the daily programs so much. Big thanks to Jenya and Cennet for doing an amazing job with the kids.
You’re never bored here! Beautiful private beach, great entertainment, and the All Inclusive Plus concept is excellent. The food variety was outstanding for all ages; we especially loved the Akdeniz à la carte restaurant & the buffet at zestful bazaar.
The complimentary arrangements for our daughter’s first birthday were a lovely surprise. Highly recommended for families—we’d love to return!
