Had a great short break at the Ocean House. We stayed in a Premium room marina view on the 9th floor. Lovely view and great for sunrise and sunset views! Service was excellent throughout our stay. Great choice of food at the breakfast buffet.
Location was perfect, being only a few minutes walk to the marina and an amazing choice of bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Ocean House Costa del Sol, Affiliated by Meliá. Everything exceeded my expectations — from the beautiful seaside location to the relaxing atmosphere and excellent facilities.
The staff truly made this experience special. Every member of the team was extremely friendly, warm, and professional. Their genuine kindness, smiles, and attention to detail made me feel very welcome and cared for throughout my stay.
The food was amazing — fresh, delicious, and very well prepared, with great variety and quality. Every meal was a pleasure and clearly reflected a high standard.
One of the most unforgettable moments was an unexpected birthday surprise. The hotel surprised me with a delicious cake and a bottle of sparkling wine 🍾 in my room. It was such a thoughtful and generous gesture, and it honestly touched me. It turned my birthday into a truly special memory.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the overall experience perfectly reflects the quality and standards of the Meliá brand.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Costa del Sol. Amazing staff, fantastic food, excellent service, and a stay I will always remember.

This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. The quality of the food was outstanding, offering a great variety of delicious options throughout my stay. The customer service was equally impressive—every staff member I encountered was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making guests feel comfortable.
The location could not be more ideal. Situated right on the beach, the property offers easy access to a beautiful and extensive boardwalk lined with charming shops, cafés, and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing stroll, take in the ocean views, or explore local attractions.
Overall, my experience was exceptional from start to finish. I will most definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable getaway!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights, half board, and were very dissatisfied. The hotel doesn't match to 4-star category for the following reasons:
1. There's no daily cleaning of the rooms (unthinkable for a 4-star hotel), towels aren't changed, trash isn't emptied, and I've never seen cleaning services on the floors.
2. The rooms are dusty, with dirty windows and the smell of dust. It seems no one pays attention to the condition of the rooms during the off-season.
3. The staff isn't smiling, and the atmosphere isn't friendly.
4. Contacting Melia customer service to resolve the issue the hotel reception couldn't resolve was unsuccessful, and they never responded.
5. Cockroaches were running around on the tables where the food was in the buffet.
6. There's no private parking.
Conclusion: the price for the room doesn't match the quality of service. The hotel ultimately leaves a bad impression and a feeling of being unwelcome. I didn't expect this level of service from Melia, and I won't choose this chain again.

Mixed reactions, I’ve booked premium room. There’s dedicated checking in area and small lounge for premium guest with free beer, wine, coffee tea and soft drinks available throughout the day which was nice touch and mini bar in premium rooms is free to use as well. Pool area is done up to good standard but a bit small for there size of the hotel do hard to get sun lounger unless you’re there first thing in the morning. There’s smaller pool near the bar chairs and tables around with the sea view and DJ in the afternoon and roof top pool (above reception bar so not too high up) and bar only accessible to premium guest which was nice touch as well.
Unfortunately corridors and rooms itself (even premium ones) don’t match the standard of finish of the pool and reception areas, there was cheap laminated flooring throughout that showed wear and tear and feel cheap, paint was peeling off the bathroom doors and door frames, there was no ventilation in bathroom so quickly turned into sauna after quick shower. On positive note beds were very comfortable, views were lovely even from the 4th floor, there was good hairdryer, iron and ironing board, sleepers and bathrobes, minibar, coffee machine (free to use) and room was cleaned daily. Food was good as well , not huge selection but enough for everyone to find something however drinks are not included with dinner and are charged extra. There’s 20% discount if drinks are added to the room and paid at the end ( in all bars throughout the hotel) but I’m not sure if that’s just for premium guests or for everyone.
Also there are free sun loungers on the beach for premium guests ( maybe for normal guests too , not sure ) so that’s useful as well.
Overall it’s nice hotel, they could improve quality of finish in rooms (especially premium ones) it’s in great location right on the sea front 3 min walk Puerto marina in be Benalmadena. Would recommend but I think premium rooms need more attention to detail and quality of finish
