Lovely hotel with beautiful sea views, helpful and friendly staff and English speaking
This hotel offers lovely sea views from most rooms and is ideally located just steps from the beach, with plenty of small shops and restaurants right outside. The hotel foyer is particularly impressive, very spacious, stylish, and filled with comfortable seating areas perfect for relaxing or waiting.
I recently visited while recovering from a total knee replacement and using a crutch, and I found the hotel surprisingly accessible. There are lifts to the dining area and even an outdoor lift that takes you down to beach level, which makes getting around much easier for anyone with mobility challenges.
The rooms themselves are a little tired in terms of décor, but they are clean, comfortable, and perfectly adequate for a short stay. The TV channels also cater well to English-speaking guests, offering BBC One, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky News, as well as the usual Spanish channels and local radio.
I only had the breakfast but there is plenty of time to eat as the dining is open from 07:30 thru 10:45. The selection of food was impressive so you will be able to satisfy yourself with any dietary requirements you have.
Overall, a pleasant and convenient place to stay, especially if you want easy beach access and good amenities nearby.

Mixed reactions, I’ve booked premium room. There’s dedicated checking in area and small lounge for premium guest with free beer, wine, coffee tea and soft drinks available throughout the day which was nice touch and mini bar in premium rooms is free to use as well. Pool area is done up to good standard but a bit small for there size of the hotel do hard to get sun lounger unless you’re there first thing in the morning. There’s smaller pool near the bar chairs and tables around with the sea view and DJ in the afternoon and roof top pool (above reception bar so not too high up) and bar only accessible to premium guest which was nice touch as well.
Unfortunately corridors and rooms itself (even premium ones) don’t match the standard of finish of the pool and reception areas, there was cheap laminated flooring throughout that showed wear and tear and feel cheap, paint was peeling off the bathroom doors and door frames, there was no ventilation in bathroom so quickly turned into sauna after quick shower. On positive note beds were very comfortable, views were lovely even from the 4th floor, there was good hairdryer, iron and ironing board, sleepers and bathrobes, minibar, coffee machine (free to use) and room was cleaned daily. Food was good as well , not huge selection but enough for everyone to find something however drinks are not included with dinner and are charged extra. There’s 20% discount if drinks are added to the room and paid at the end ( in all bars throughout the hotel) but I’m not sure if that’s just for premium guests or for everyone.
Also there are free sun loungers on the beach for premium guests ( maybe for normal guests too , not sure ) so that’s useful as well.
Overall it’s nice hotel, they could improve quality of finish in rooms (especially premium ones) it’s in great location right on the sea front 3 min walk Puerto marina in be Benalmadena. Would recommend but I think premium rooms need more attention to detail and quality of finish

I have just stayed here for the second time and I really love this hotel. It feels clean, well maintained and most of the staff are friendly. A few can be a little abrupt, but never rude.
Room
We stayed in a premium room with a sea view and it was definitely worth the extra cost. The minibar is restocked daily at no charge (two beers, two Cokes, two Fantas and two waters). You also receive 20% off drinks charged to your room, free sunbeds on the beach (normally 8 EUR each), and access to the rooftop pool. The bed is very firm, which I usually prefer, but this one was slightly too hard for my taste. That seems quite common in Spain though, and it was fine for the week. The bathroom products were a nice touch, and the shower had strong water pressure. Overall, we were very happy with the room.
Breakfast
There is a great selection, including prosecco. The salad bar was excellent, and there were cereals, bread, pastries, several types of ham and cheese, waffles, pancakes, and a full cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, there were not enough staff at breakfast, and five out of six mornings our table had not been cleared from the previous guests. The hot food was often lukewarm or cold, which was disappointing. I also would have liked to see smoked fish or vegetarian sausages available.
Pool areas and pool bar
No complaints at all. Everything was clean, the pools were a good size, and there were plenty of sunbeds. It is just a shame they close at dusk, as it would be nice to swim a bit later.
Beach
The beach is lovely and lined with bars and restaurants, but there was some rubbish near the shore. We picked up a bit ourselves to stop plastic from reaching the ocean, but ideally the hotel should take responsibility for that. It looked much cleaner on our last day, so perhaps they had addressed it.
Overall
We loved our stay and will definitely return.

Stayed here with my girlfriend and we honestly loved every minute of it. The place has a great vibe — clean rooms, awesome views, and a really relaxed atmosphere.
Big shoutout to Alexandra who looked after us so well the whole time. He was super friendly, always happy to help, and made us feel really welcome. You can tell he loves what he does — a real credit to the team!
Would definitely recommend Ocean House to anyone heading to the Costa del Sol. We’ll 100% be back! 🌞🏖️

We have been staying at this hotel at least once per year since first coming here in 2019. It’s a lovely hotel in a great location with lots of bars, restaurants, the beach and attractions within a very short walk. The rooms are bright and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is good as is the entertainment. We never want to leave when it’s time to go.
