Macaquinha Suiza
The hotel was very nice, spacious, and super clean. Very popular with all kind of nationalities and also groups. Everything was in perfect working order.
A/C worked well, fridge/minibar handy, comfortable bed with spotless linen. Shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Toiletries were provided.
We had a standard room and found it very good value for money. There is a restaurant in the hotel, although we didn’t use it. The hotel was exactly as advertised.
A bit of a pity were the restricted pool opening hours (11 am to 6 pm). Pool area can get crowded.
Happy hour bar next to the pool area.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the cleaners especially cheerful and lovely.
We truly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel even in parts it could do with a bit of an uplift but didn't bother us and we would come back anytime.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in around the globe. Avoid staying here, they do not turn on the air conditioning that you pay for. If you come in March to October just go to another hotel or stay on a bench outside. The breakfast selection is a joke if you have any dietary requirements, there is no kettle in the room but you can rent one for 10 euros, no complimentary anything, only a basic shower gel (no shampoo). An iron costs 10 euros to rent. The lifts are garbage. Just don't waste your money here. Staff don't care to offer any help with bags. This wouldn't pass as a 3 star let alone 4. Definitely don't come here with kids or if you are british (no tea, no kettle!)
Dont believe the positive feedback here. They are either paid reviewers or only stayed here for less than 2 days. The only positive I have is that the location is excellent and close by the town centre.

I was thoroughly impressed by this hotel! It’s clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is perfect, right in the heart of town. You definitely get what you pay for. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are very clean, and the cleaning staff do a thorough job every day.
The food is decent, offering a good variety that fills you up, but the only downside is the lack of bottled water—you'll have to get your own. I stayed in a poolside room, which was quiet, and I enjoyed the rooftop pool where you can relax and sunbathe all day. Both the rooftop and ground pools open at 11 AM, but you can reserve sunbeds in advance.
Overall, the hotel is great! Just keep in mind that the lifts can get quite busy, so expect to wait at times. The staff are consistently friendly and polite. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say and I will definitely be back next year

Very disappointed. This hotel does not deserve its 4-star rating, and the quality does not match the price.
I do not recommend booking the meal plan. Breakfast pastries were not always fresh, dinner choices were very limited, and once food ran out, it was often not refilled. The plates, cups, and cutlery were also often not properly cleaned. For such a large number of guests, there were far too few food stations. The dining area had two large rooms, but all the food was placed only at the entrance in the first room, while the second room had no food at all, causing unnecessary queues and inconvenience.
We stayed on the 8th floor. The room was old, poorly lit, and had a terrible sewage smell every night, making it difficult to sleep. The elevators were also slow and inconvenient.
The only positive thing was the central location.
The beach is about a 15-minute walk away with steep hills and many stairs, which is not convenient.
Overall, I was very disappointed and would not stay here again.

So it's very clean there but it feels dated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. But the food wasn't the best in my opinion. I understand that they have to cater for lots of people, but I've had much better in other all inclusive hotels not far from here.
