An unforgettable stay at Melia Calviá Beach!
Our experience at Melia Calviá Beach was absolutely exceptional – it truly made our vacation unforgettable. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, everything was simply perfect.
The service, the facilities, the food, and the staff – every detail was handled with such care and professionalism that we couldn’t have asked for more. We also booked The Level, and it genuinely took our stay to another level – in every sense of the word!
The location was ideal: peaceful and relaxing, yet still close to everything. Even though the hotel is in Magaluf, it feels like a quiet haven where you can truly unwind and enjoy the beautiful views.
We honestly have nothing to complain about – everything exceeded our expectations. If we ever come back to Mallorca, we wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else. We’ve already recommended this hotel to many of our friends and family!

Very upset with hotel staff! Been to many Meliá hotels and this one’s staff are very poor With-explanation and just want to get money. Told us for an upgrade with half board was a certain price and than agreed to the charge. Turns out upgrade was just for a new view (which was not a view of the sea; just rooftop) and not half board. Try to explain with hotel staff but they kept saying there is nothing they can do. Try to celebrate my engagement here but totally ruined by staffs rudeness.
To mention, we booked at Meliá south beach and due to early seasonal closure, our reservations were moved to this hotel and the room quality is not the same and to get the level bedroom is extra. I truly believe that this hotel is a fake/fraud. I clearly read the previous reviews and with these same
Issues with their coordinators marnia, and two others apart of communications coordinators keep saying we hold to policy and up most standards but clearly that’s not true as the reviews keep being the same with saying the same issues over and over again. If you really cared about customer service. There would be a change in staff who are kind, pleasant and want to be there. Second, they highlight one part of the issues and don’t even fix it in their responses. One of the worst Meliá hotels I’ve been too and I would not stay her again. I really hope if you’re reading this, you will pick some where else.

Avoid — definitely not worth it.
Disappointing already at the arrival. We paid extra for a side sea view room and were given a room with a view of rooftops and air conditioning units, with barely a glimpse of the sea. As you can see from the photo, this is not what you’d expect when paying for a side sea view upgrade. I’m honestly sure that many of the standard rooms on higher floors without any sea view upgrade probably have a better view than this.
Even though the hotel clearly had better availability (visible online), staff refused to move us and weren’t helpful. The manager was uncooperative and just told us to come back the next morning, no effort to resolve the issue or offer a solution.
There’s also no food available at the poolside, which is surprising for a hotel of this level. On top of that, people reserve sunbeds by laying towels on them all day long without actually using them, and the hotel staff don’t seem to care or enforce any kind of policy.
The general lack of service, poor attitude from staff, and even the manner of some guests was disappointing. Honestly, none of this reflects the standard you’d expect, not even at a 3-star level.

Overall Experience
Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The location seemed nice at first, but the overall quality fell far below expectations and definitely not what you’d expect from a 4-star property.
Food & Dining
The food was poor and repetitive, often lacking flavor. Meat was usually overcooked, and at the BBQ evening the turkey was burnt outside but raw inside. One night we even got food poisoning. Breakfast was also disappointing, with food already cold when service opened at 7:30.
Service
Most staff were unfriendly and very slow. We never felt welcomed, and even small requests took much longer than they should have.
Accommodation & Facilities
The hotel was loud, with music and entertainment making it hard to relax. When it rained, water poured into the bathroom through a light fixture, which felt unsafe. Around the terrace there was often a strong smell of urine, likely from a nearby farm. The one positive surprise was the gym, which was well-equipped and in good condition.
Parking & Costs
Parking was almost impossible with so few spaces. On top of that, extras were outrageously priced, like the Bali beds on the beach at 100 euros per day.
Conclusion
Between the unsafe facilities, bad food, poor service, noise, lack of parking and overpriced extras, the price compared to the quality was never worth it. Apart from the gym, there is little positive to say. At best, this hotel deserves 3 stars. We would not return.

There was nothing we didn’t like we appreciate whole service always helpful and friendly, which made our stay in the hotel excellent. The property was elegantly, styled, plenty space, beautiful view, and brilliant staff.
Especially thanks Tatiana Kravets in THE LEVEL service was incredible such friendly, absolutely wonderful and comfortable. The pool and spa were wonderful.
