We had a wonderful stay at the Lopesan Baobab Resort and felt very comfortable from the very first moment. The resort is extremely child-friendly and perfect for families. Our little one had so much fun – there was plenty to do and discover for children.
The staff deserves special mention: everyone was very attentive, friendly, and always helpful. They even offered baby-friendly food, which was a huge plus for us as parents.
Overall, it’s a fantastic hotel with a great atmosphere, excellent service, and ideal for a relaxing family vacation. We would definitely love to come back! ⭐

My stay at Lopesan Baobab Resort was truly exceptional and exceeded all expectations in every possible way.
The culinary experience was outstanding. The quality of the food, the variety offered, and the attention to detail were of an exceptionally high standard. Equally impressive was the restaurant service, which was consistently professional, attentive, and delivered with genuine warmth.
The service throughout the hotel deserves special recognition. The reception staff and bellboys were absolutely exemplary, efficient, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a seamless and pleasant stay. In addition, the Guest Relations team was consistently available and highly dedicated, playing a key role in making the overall experience both smooth and memorable.
The hotel’s surroundings are nothing short of breathtaking. The architecture, atmosphere, and overall design create a unique environment unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It truly feels like stepping into another world.
In every aspect, Lopesan Baobab Resort delivers excellence. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious, distinctive, and unforgettable experience.

I’m really disappointed. It’s a 5 star hotel, it’s not cheap and it’s not the best. I was expecting more for this price.
The water in the pools is not heated enough, it’s cold, the breakfast compared to other cheaper hotels is nothing special. Dinners are not the best.
There is mold in the bathroom on the bath.
Minidisco kids can’t dance on the stage. It’s very loud, it hurt ears. It’s much better in other hotels.
If you want to change the pool towel you need to go to reception.
Hotel looks cool but that it. There is no sea view and it’s not at the beach and I was ok with it but I was expecting more as it’s more expensive than other hotels with a sea view and same category. It’s definitely a nice design but the pools need the renovation. Pool tiles are falling apart and you can easily scratch yourself. Also no underground parking for the guests. Kids activities are also poor and the kids area looks not the best. The water in the pools is so cold that most of kids and adults don’t swim.
The hotel was recommended to me by my friends who stayed there few years ago and looks like the quality is going down a lot. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.
It was also very cold in the rooms and there was no possibility to heat it.

We’ve just returned from the most fantastic stay at Lopesan Baobab, and it genuinely exceeded expectations. The entire resort is stunning – beautifully designed, immaculate throughout, and packed with character. Every corner feels like a little escape, with gorgeous pools, lush surroundings, and plenty of space to relax.
The staff deserve special mention: friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Nothing ever felt too much trouble. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break.
Breakfast and dinner offered an excellent choice each day, with something for everyone and great quality across the board. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the whole place felt really well run.
The location is ideal too – just a short stroll to the beach and close to shops and cafes, yet still peaceful once you’re back inside the resort.
All in all, it’s one of the best holiday hotels we’ve stayed in. We’d absolutely return and happily recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Maspalomas.

Nice but wouldn’t return.
It’s not a 5 star hotel. 4 at best. it’s just the service/staff that particularly let it down.
The actual hotel is on a stunning level, it’s beautiful and cannot fault the architecture. Reception/checkin all lovely.
Booked for the Al la carte restaurant as it gets busy, arrived at said booking time and didn’t have our table at all! then said i booked for 8.45pm and not 7.45 which is a lie because we had small children and i know what i booked. had to wait to 8.30pm for a table. Then it just really went further down hill, my husband has a nut allergy, quite serious. He was told that he could have a hummus and the lamb, they were safe. Hummus came NUTS all over. Lamb came NUTS all over. we obvs complained and the manager said he would take a wine off the bill but we were not allowed to eat there again. HA! ok well we won’t ever be coming back so that fine, but just a rude thing to say to a guest who has done nothing wrong.
Most of the staff are pleasant, the breakfast staff not so much, they literally treat you like sheep.
We ate at the buffet first night, the waitress made us pay for our drinks when ordered at the table (even though we provided our room number and door card which links to our room) which was just bizarre and also told i couldn’t take the wine i ordered to any other part of the hotel, it had to be drank at the buffet restaurant. Just bizarre! so had to pay for the drinks upfront, then pay for the buffet and then couldn’t leave the table until our drinks were finish. in the end i left with my wine and sat in the entertainment area to enjoy the show, at that point if anyone followed me i couldn’t care less.
A coffee machine in the room or just a kettle would make a big difference and a full length mirror would also be great.
Good points are super handy in location, lots of pools and you can walk the grounds without feeling like there’s so many people, the pool staff are lovely, great entertainment in the evening, the rooms were spacious, beds comfy and view was great.
Oh and the lady in the clothes/jewellery shop onsite, not so nice either!
Such a shame that staff/service let it massively down, we won’t recommend to others but somehow i don’t think that will affect them so much. it looks busy all year round.
