Lovely hotel with relaxed atmosphere and very attentive staff. Jason checked us in and was highly professional and organised. Aliou is very welcoming and humorous, as well as providing a fantastic service in both the lobby bar and main restaurant. Claudia provides an excellent waiting-on service in the bar. Hassan provides great service in the restaurant. My parter has enjoyed the aqua-fit classes several times, with all of the staff involved being encouraging, fun and professional in their approach.
The hotel could be improved if the main pool was made adult only with the bottom pool focusing on being family-orientated. Otherwise this is a fantastic hotel, with excellent entertainment and staff.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was amazing, very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect—close to everything we needed. The atmosphere was great, and the staff made us feel very welcome.

We went here for a week in July and it was by far the nicest, cleanest, most amazing hotel we have ever been to. Staff were accommodating and friendly, food was amazing (go all inclusive, you wont regret it!). Beach is really close by. Overall, it was the best holiday resort we have ever been to and we would have happily spent all our time just soley in the hotel.

The hotel is in a great location and has great amenities with top notch service, Aliou (so) is tireless and always made sure we were satisfied. The outdoor pool is long but only goes to around 5 ft. Not sure is this is typical in Lagos or not, but common areas are not air conditioned. Otherwise, a great stay.

We had the most incredible experience at Iberostar Selection Lagos Algarve! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so warm, friendly, and welcoming. They offered us a drink while sorting out our rooms, which was such a thoughtful gesture after a long journey. They even went out of their way to arrange our rooms right next door to our friends, which made the trip even more special.
It was my cousin’s birthday during our stay, and the staff truly went above and beyond. They surprised us with a beautiful birthday cake and champagne delivered straight to our room – such a thoughtful touch that made the day unforgettable.
The hotel is spotless and beautifully maintained. The food was incredible, with so many delicious options, and we loved enjoying our meals while taking in the stunning beach views – it made every meal feel special. Our fridge was also kept fully stocked with drinks, sweets, and snacks, which was a lovely extra touch.
Both the indoor pool and spa area are amazing – so relaxing and perfect for unwinding. The outdoor pool area is just as beautiful, with plenty of space to soak up the sun and enjoy the views.
Honestly, we couldn’t fault a single thing. The service, the atmosphere, the food, and the little thoughtful touches made this trip unforgettable. If you’re visiting Lagos, Portugal, this is the place to stay – 1000% recommend, and we can’t wait to come back!
