We booked a sea view room for a week end of June as a couple, all inclusive. Overall I'd rate the experience 4/5 stars. The staff around the hotel were friendly and attentive, the waiters and waitresses were very good. Unfortunately the Reception staff let them down as they were not very welcoming or friendly. I never seen any of them smile once.
The animations team were very friendly and encouraged everyone to take part in activities. The pool was disappointing, it is small and the same depth the whole way round, for me 5'6ft I could not touch the floor in the pool. The sea was very nice, I would recommend sea shoes as it is rocky. The views are stunning from the hotel, I have put some photographs. The food was good quality and tasty, although after a week it was very repetitive. There is a good drinks selection with the all inclusive package. The hotel could do with some more lifts as you will often wait ages for an available lift. The room was large and mostly clean. We were given fresh towels everyday which was great. The mattress is very, very hard and uncomfortable and you only get 1 pillow. The balcony is just the right size to sit on, and the view from the sea view rooms is stunning. The hotel is in a good location, in walking distance to a lot of shops and right on the sea front. The air conditioning is very good.
The chairs at the beach bar were very uncomfortable. Whilst we wanted to stay and watch the entertainment, we mostly found ourselves leaving early as the chairs were not comfortable. We saw other people bringing cushions for the chairs as they were so uncomfortable.

The wife and I have just returned from our holiday to Turkey and stayed in the Faros. Staff are attentive friendly and nothing is a problem. The chefs give you plenty of choice of good quality food. The entertainment is what you expect on the circuit but most enjoyable was the bingo caller
5 and 4 fivety to four….
The rooms are basic and could do with a spruce up during closed season but in general a good hotel
Drinks are by the eye measure so need to be careful if your not a big drinker views from the balcony were stunning. You do get hassled from the vendors but it’s all part of Turkey.
Would we go to the hotel again ???
Yes.
Not for everyone but it done what it needed to do for our holiday.

We spent 2 weeks at Faros Hotel and had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Our room was on the top floor with magnificent views of the sea and a large balcony. The food was wonderful and always a varied selection and the staff were very attentive.
Although the hotel is a bit tired and could do with refreshening in places, we found everywhere to be clean and staff friendly. The air conditioning was directly blowing on to the bed which isn't ideal but did cool the room quickly.
Unfortunately, the entertainment wasn't very entertaining and started late in the evening and the bar chairs were too uncomfortable to remain on for the evening.
The entertainment staff were a bit bullish and as we've paid thousands of pounds for a relaxing holiday from our busy lives, it's really not appreciated to be called lazy every day for resting in the sun and not wanting to partake in the questionably yoga session.
Overall though, apart from entertainment, a wonderful holiday.

Day 4 of 5. I’ve had the most wonderful solo holiday at the Faros Premium Beach Hotel. As a solo traveller, I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff- especially the restaurant staff. The service in there was the best in the world! Nothing was too much to ask and the warm welcome from Antonio and the chef made each day feel special! I never felt alone. Thank you for making my holiday! I really enjoyed the food. There were lots of options but I especially enjoyed the chicken dishes.
The spa treatments were exceptional for the price and the gorgeous views and pool facilities were excellent. All in all, this was a great trip. Thank you so much. I hope the staff in the restaurant realise how much they are appreciated! Please let them know! Emma

We stayed at the Faros Premium Beach Hotel for 7 nights and, while the location is great, the hotel itself did not live up to its 4-star rating — I’d say it’s closer to a 3-star.
First impressions & facilities
While the bedroom and restaurant were air-conditioned, the lobby, lifts, and other common areas were not, which made moving around the hotel in summer heat uncomfortable. WiFi is only available in the lobby, restaurant, and outdoor bar areas — nothing in the rooms, which feels outdated for a “premium” hotel.
Room experience
Our first room had a few issues — no key for the safe, rubbish left in the wardrobe, and stains on the dressing table. We requested a new room and were moved without any fuss, but the new room clearly wasn’t prepared for us (there was even a letter on the bed addressed to another couple for their anniversary). The balcony air conditioning unit leaked, and the shower water temperature fluctuated wildly between hot and cold no matter the time of day. Even in the second room, there were some general upkeep issues such as dents in the walls and stains on the chairs. Not worth complaining about but it just highlights the lack of attention to detail there is when maintaining and cleaning these rooms. (See photos)
We had booked late checkout in advance. We were initially told we could have it, then told again on the morning of departure that we couldn’t. After speaking with the manager, they agreed to let us keep the room until later — but at midday our key cards stopped working and we had to get staff to reactivate them so we could get back in.
One particularly frustrating detail: the smoke alarm was positioned directly above the bed, and its bright flashing light went off throughout the night, waking me on several occasions.
Housekeeping was inconsistent — even after specifically requesting a clean, the bed wasn’t properly made and sheets weren’t changed. The shower gel dispenser was empty when we arrived and was never refilled during our entire stay.
Restaurant & food
The restaurant’s air conditioning is extremely strong if you sit near it, meaning your food will go cold before you can finish it. Flies were often seen around the salad bar and staff didn’t seem to address it. Breakfast was the same every day — standard but boring — and food labelling was poor, which could be an issue for anyone with allergies or dietary needs.
At meal times, there were often not enough tables for the number of guests, and staff were slow to clear and reset tables. Stray cats and dogs (common in the area) occasionally wandered into the restaurant and lobby and were not always quickly removed.
Pool, beach & other facilities
The pool area is small and not as it appears in the promotional pictures. Some parts of the hotel were dark with lights off and looked unused — unclear why. The beach was the highlight: we could always find a sun-bed, and the location was beautiful, although the sea water was a bit murky and stained a couple of swimsuits (easily washed out). Small fish would occasionally nibble at your legs.
Location
Excellent — plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. There’s also a bus stop right outside, with buses to Marmaris town for as little as 40 lira per person (around £1).
Overall
This hotel is fine as a base if you plan to spend most of your time exploring, but it’s definitely not the best all-inclusive we’ve stayed at. We wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family expecting a true 4-star experience.
