I have stayed at the Hotel Oro Negro over a dozen times in the last three years and only once was I given a room I didn't like ,When I went to the reception I requested another room and after a few minutes the problem was resolved satisfactorily. The reception staff are always very helpful and friendly and welcoming. The food I find there is a good choice either cooked or a good salad choice. My room has always been made up more than efficiency by housekeeping , I have looked at other options but they are overpriced. I am due to return in early December for two weeks, This being my third stay this year and I have already booked two trips for next year. so far . Thank to everyone at the Oro Negro for making my stays welcoming ones.

We had a very pleasant stay at Catalonia Oro Negro. The services were good overall, and Monica from the reception was especially kind and helpful. We also received a free room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise.
The breakfast buffet offered plenty of options for everyone, and there was also the possibility to have dinner buffet-style, with many choices each evening. Both at breakfast and dinner there were chefs cooking on the spot – preparing omelettes and pancakes in the morning, and fish or meat in the evening right in front of the guests.
The cocktails at the bar were very good, especially the piña colada. Everyone working at the reception, bar, restaurant, and housekeeping was very friendly and welcoming.
The room was comfortable and suitable for a couple. One thing we didn’t like was that the bathroom developed an unpleasant smell from the drainage system at some point, but it eventually resolved on its own.
The hotel is in a great location — very close to the beach, with a supermarket just 5 minutes away, and various restaurants within a 10-minute walk.
If you visit Tenerife, must-see attractions include the Mariposarium, Masca, Teide, the Dragon Tree, and Loro Parque.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would gladly return!

We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Tenerife staying at Catalonia Oro Negro loved the hotel and was in a great location for access to lots to do. We had a lovely room facing the swimming pool and terrace the bed was comfortable and changed at least 3 times during our stay the towels were plentiful the only issue we had the the floor in the room and terrace could have been a bit cleaner it was a bit dusty. The room had good air conditioning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke very good English (special thanks to the reception Lorena who was always willing to help with anything and very quick and efficient in solving any issues we had. The food was good and plentiful and with lots of choice there was something for everyone the restaurant staff were amazing again spoke good English and always willing to help(David, Antonio and Alfredo need a special mention) The entertainment was great and lots of evening shows to suit all The animation team are fabulous and are great in keeping us all entertained so thank you to you all ( especially Tamara). We would highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to returning again soon

Great little hotel
95% clean and always cleaning!!
Odd little thing that needs sprucing up.
Wouldn't say Id ever bring my son here even tho they do a kids club (that looked very ran down) and a mini disco.
The kids pool is also very tucked away.
But all ranges of adults seem happy here.
The entertainment is ok. Good variety but due to drink situation we ventured out
most evenings.
Food was a wide range and fairly nice, however again no real choice for kids!
The location is fabulous to get to Veronica's for young ones.
Or the "golden mile" for nicer restaurants.
The view from our room was amazing! We had a sea view.
All staff are lovely but some will go above and beyond.
Few down points -
• the noise on a morning!!! Doors slamming CONSTANTLY from about 7am
• air con in rooms are very loud
• the divider in the pool
Makes absolutely no sense (pictured)
• the sewage smell in the bedroom
• drinks. No house spirits and minimal choice - no archers, Malibu, basic cocktails (baring sangria) and they are extortionate!!!
The roof top pool is only available to premium rooms which wasn't obvious before booking.
All in all i would consider staying here again!

We had a great week stay here! The rooms were modern enough with everything that you’d need, good location and great views. The breakfast and dinner is lovely, so much choice and they also serve different things every night. The chefs are so kind and friendly 😇 The only downside is the cleaning.. very random times in the day..no knocking and seem to only do cleaning when we’re in the room. Parking can also be a bit tricky here and might have to park quite far form the hotel. Apart from that I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for money ☺️
