Georgia Christmas
We stayed at Atlantic Holiday Hotel Tenerife as a young couple and overall had a good holiday, but in our opinion the hotel feels more like a 3-star than a 4.5-star experience.
The room was very spacious, which we appreciated, but it was also quite basic. The two single beds pushed together wasn’t ideal for a couple, although we managed. One major thing the hotel should consider if they want to justify higher prices is installing air conditioning. We were able to cope without it, but during warmer periods it could definitely become uncomfortable.
The food selection was actually good for an all-inclusive hotel, with enough variety throughout the stay. However, the soft drink and cocktail options were quite limited, and unfortunately the cocktails themselves weren’t very nice.
The views from the hotel are beautiful and definitely one of the highlights. However, there were not enough sunbeds for the number of guests staying at the hotel, which made relaxing around the pool difficult at times. We also felt the hotel would benefit from having a rooftop pool or quieter adults-only area, as the main pool area was often very busy with lots of children and loud music, which took away from the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for.
Overall, we still had a nice holiday and there are definitely positives, but there are also quite a few areas that could be improved. Sadly, it’s probably not somewhere we would return to

We booked to stay at the Hotel Atlantic Holiday and was pleasantly surprised.
After reading some of the reviews prior to leaving the UK, we were a little worried about what might be in store for us.
The staff were great; very adaptable.
The room was comfortable.
Activities were a good mix; will even continue with the yoga upon my return.
Kids loved the pool, as did I. The salt pool was a pleasant surprise, loved the buoyancy.
Food; good variety. Would've loved a few more options for salad, but it was nice.
Would definitely consider a return visit.

THE ROOM
NO AIR CONDITIONING IN ANY ROOM OR ANY PART OF THE HOTEL, all you were provided with was a floor standing fan, not adequate at all, so the room are so hot and sleeping is difficult.
To add insult to injury, again on the day of leaving. We noticed an advert in reception offering air conditioning units for rent!!!
KITCHEN
Self catering lacked a microwave or oven. Only a hob to cook on we were informed purely by chance on the day if leaving that we could have requested a microwave!!!!, why would it not already be in the room!!!
The frying pan was a cheap one with no none stick coating. So everything stuck mainly fried eggs for breakfast, so eggs were a mess.
The room had no drawers at all. So the only storage was the wardrobe.
It had a safe but that was for use at an extra cost.
THE POOL
Could never get a sunbed by the pool, all were taken every day, unless you did what other selfish people did, get up at the crack of dawn put towels on them and hardly use them throughout the day.
Beach towels also were no free, you could either pay daily or weekly, approx £14 for a fresh towel every day.
FOOD
Tried to buy food at the poolside bar, we were told we could not buy any, it was for fully inclusive guests only, we pointed out we are guests of this hotel, it made no difference, they would not sell us any.
SURROUNDING AREA
Outside the hotel there is very little to do in this location, a few restaurants, shops, but not a nice or pretty area to walk around, the restaurants are very good. But if you expect the usual strip of nightlife bars and lively entertainment, there is nothing.
There is a small cove and beach nearby, but its black sand, volcanic i suspect, and there are no sunbeds at all.
The coastline view is awful, nothing pretty at all.
Sorry to say, but the worst hotel and location I have ever had the displeasure of staying at.
The good bit.
The beds are comfortable
Would i recommend this hotel or location or revisit it, a resounding NO👎

We stayed at this hotel for a week in June (myself, Husband and small child) and we had a great time!
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with sea view- the extra prices definitely worth the sea view- stunning! The room was spacious, we ended up moving the mattress from the sofa bed into the bedroom as we found having our child sleep in the living room, he was constantly being woken. If we stay again, I'd probably consider bringing a blow up matress for the little one to sleep on.
The hotel was clean, certain parts needed repainting etc from general wear and tear but nothing too bad. Overall was pretty clean and tidy.
Food was excellent! Plenty of choice, I have ceoliac disease so wasn't sure how well I'd get on, considering we went all inclusive, but allergen labels were added to each dish and staff were very helpful and attentive. We did have the odd occasion where the allergen cards hadn't been filled in so we had to check with staff, but this was quickly amended when brought to their attention.
The playground was great! Out 4 year old loved it! Odd choice of terrain as it's all small stones so they kept getting stuck in his shoes- so make sure to wear trainers!
Excellent views, supermarket 3 minute walk away, plenty of restaurants, good bus connections (cost us €7.65 to get to Playa de las Americas 2 adults and a child)
We walked to Rosa Centre (shopping mall) from the hotel, scenic route along the front, took around 20-30 minutes.
Great hotel and great location 👍

A warm welcome from all the staff on arrival, the reception area is fabulous, we went through to use the lift to go up to our room and saw that while it’s fine. The hotel is a little warn, little gaps between floor panels chips in the finishing’s on the stairs, out room was clean, happy with it just a little bare very beige no personality, our beds were made for us every day and towels changed. we went bed and breakfast the kitchen was fully stocked, but only a hob, no microwave or oven/grill which was fine as we ate out anyway.
Er had a sea view one bedroom apartment and the view of the sunset was something else on a clear day.
We had 2 single beds they had pushed together not ideal but it was ok..
The pool area was great and the lifeguard was really helpful..
Breakfast was fine not exceptional but not terrible either, lots to choose from.
All the staff were great from reception to the cleaners , they were all amazing.
I would definitely book again but feel it’s more a 3* rather than the 4.* as advertised we’d stay there again.
We had a lovely holiday there.
And would recommend as long as you are not expecting luxury.
