I chose an apartment with Teide view. Amazing view from the balcony on the top floor. It is a 3 star hotel. The hotel offers half and full board and breakfast. We chose without food, so I can't comment on the food. The hotel is uphill from the city center.

Location is nice, close to a supermarket and with wonderful views of the mountains. The rooms were nice if a bit run down, but staff was accommodating and kind. Locals seem to hang out in the restaurant and lobby which creates a friendly atmosphere. The beds were a bit lumpy and hard.

There seems to be some shenanigans going on with the reviews/stories of these alleged school trippers. I got pretty spooked myself after reading them but regardless, based purely on our stay the experience was pretty fine. Because the price is so low I have no problems looking over some minor defects but if you want to look for them you will certainly find plenty.
As for roaches we didnt see any, and the room was clean even though some of the facilities were a bit aged, but even if I were to find one I wouldnt blame it to the hotel either, you gotta think this is a warm, humid, busy city, and the front door of the hotel is always open so it is what it is. But we positively didnt see signs of any infestation like other reviews say.

I arrived at the hotel and seen how dated it was so checked reviews. I was concerned to see so many bad reviews but wasnt surprised. I thought the staff were very nice and helpful. The room seemed clean and I seen the girls cleaning around the hotel everyday. I was there for 12 nights and I saw four or five cockroaches. The hotel was cheap so perhaps you get what you pay for. I dont think I would go back though. I ended up with an uneventful stay with some concerns. I could see how things could get worse quickly though. Perhaps a bit pest control and renovation required.

cute little apartment, very clean, friendly helpful staff. the beds were for me way too hard and uncomfortable and it is very nosy wich didn’t bother me but my boyfriend. our card at the room door didn’t really work it always took us 20s-2min to get into the room. i still liked it very much and would come back immediately due to the good price
