would like to thank the staff of La Mirada Hotel for their outstanding service, friendliness, and patience.
Special thanks to Robert, Diel, Aida, Salvador, Cristian, and Eddie — you guys are the best!
I work with people myself, so watching how the team handled problems and conflicts with professionalism and composure was genuinely impressive and inspiring.
As for the hotel itself: it is located just a 3-minute walk from a beautiful beach and bay. The interior is cozy and attractive, there is a wide variety of food, and evening entertainment is provided for guests.
For those expecting a five-star experience while booking a three-star hotel: congratulations, you are making an already challenging job even harder for the staff. If you want luxury, book a more expensive hotel instead of taking your frustrations out on ordinary employees who are simply doing their best.
One suggestion: please consider providing access to coffee 24/7.
And to the hotel management: please install automatic door closers on the entrance doors. You have many guests with disabilities and reduced mobility, and this small improvement would make a big difference.

The first few days we thought this was a lovely little place. Nice and quiet, not too busy. But then we noticed not many staff about. The bars were often unmanned because the bar person was helping in the restaurant, so you had to wait. Also the toilets by the pool weren't cleaned regularly. Twice I saw the cleaner enter the toilets and sign the cleaning sheet without even checking to see if they were clean. Often at breakfast there was no sliced bread or bacon when you told a waiter you were told it would be filled soon. So Often you were hanging about waiting for things to be filled up before you could eat.
The food was nice there was only once when it was seafood night that we struggled to get something we liked.

To be honest I have mixed feelings about this place. What I liked was most of the staff was very friendly. Also at a 2 minute walk there is a nice small beach. Parking your (rental) car is easy in nearby streets.
Some things I disliked. The room we stayed at was outdated and smelled like old clothes. The rooms are also very noisy. Banging doors, fighting couples and drunk Brits might keep you from a good night’s rest.
The bathroom smelled funny. I think it is because of the water. To us, the water had a slight diarrhea smell to it and is a bit salty.
At the pool the music never stops. At night there is entertainment which is very loud. So people who are looking for peace and quietness should avoid this place.
The food is okay. Pretty much the same every day with some slight variation. Snacks can be had between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner.
This hotel is a good place to stay if you like noisy places and big people eating big amounts of food.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, go somewhere else. I wish I’d spent some more money to be a little more comfortable and peace and quiet.

Honestly can’t understand some of the negative reviews which have been put on this hotel. It is a 3* hotel at a very good price and it was exactly what it said it would be.
The pool was lovely - there was always a sun bed available, they did aqua aerobics and activities such as bingo and sangria tasting which me and my friends really enjoyed.
Okay the food wasn’t incredible but we had something different everyday. I’d recommend going to the freshly made foods with the chef in the corner of the dining area as that food was a lot better than the rest of it with fresh paella, meats, eggs for breakfast etc being prepared. Otherwise if you have fussy eaters there was always pasta with sauce and chips available. Great little snack bar as well for lunch time if you wish to stay by the pool. Sangria and cocktails on tap with really great bar staff and you can help yourself to most of the drinks so you never much of a wait either. You pay $1 for a cup but again this is a norm in a lot of hotels now to ensure they get the cups back so can’t see it as much of an issue. You get this back when you return it at the end of the stay. The bar staff changed you for a fresh cup whenever needed during the stay.
The rooms were a little old and tired but again what do you expect from a 3*, our room was clean and the fan system worked well. Bathroom was basic but did the job and we had a lovely balcony with a great view too.
The surroundings of Cala D’Or were stunning - a short walk to a gorgeous beach and also a short walk to the forte which was lovely to watch the sunset each night. There were quite a few boat trips on offer on the beach too which I would’ve tried if my friends didn’t get sea sick!
My only negative would be that the evening entertainment was nothing short of terrible - however nothing a pack of cards and a nice drink didn’t solve.
Very happy customers who cannot understand any of the negative reviews for the *’s and the price we paid.
Thank you and would recommend to anyone ☺️
