My mum and I had a pleasant 2 night stay. We were able to leave our bags when we arrived before check in and again once we checked out. The man with the glasses on reception was very friendly as was the lady at the bar. Our room was clean, yes it is dated but there is hot water and a balcony. Only issue our TV didn't work and there was a socket hanging out and there is no fridge in the room. Breakfast was in the restaurant across the road and was nice, it was just there seemed to be just one staff member cooking and laying out the food which meant waiting for the food to be restocked. Overall a pleasant stay and very cheap in price

Got it! Here’s Playas del Rey is a fairly standard hotel with everything you’d expect for a short stay. The main downside is the noticeable humidity in the rooms and the smell of fried food that seems to linger around. Also, the hotel doesn’t have its own parking lot, but there’s a large free one nearby, which is convenient.
On the positive side, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is great—just a short walk from the beach and local restaurants. For a simple, budget-friendly stay in Santa Ponça, it does the job.

The rooms were very outdated, in desperate need of renovation, the beds were rock hard, the walls were paper thin, we could hear what people was doing in the room next door, on the first 2 mornings we heard some very loud ‘unpleasant’ noises and sounds - we’ll be PG, this wasn’t the hotels fault but the thin walls made it very loud, the male receptionist was lovely, very friendly, pointed us to the nearest free car park, the young female receptionist was lovely too, very polite, very chatty, there was a third older receptionist, we found her very rude, she never spoke to us, never greeted us, abruptly asked if we’re checking out, said i needed to sign a paper then that was it. The view was lovely however and the breakfast was really nice, the breakfast wasn’t in the hotel itself, was over the road but we didn’t mind the walk, overall we wouldn’t return but was a decent hotel

Super super bad….
Very expensive for this service.
The persona is really not polite
There’s no dinner… it’s okay. We brought our food and they didn’t give us forks and knives «they don’t have”
Even the receptionist didn’t let us to eat down stairs… we have to eat just at room 🤯
We couldn’t stay at room because there’s so dirty. Сurtains are all in the mold and it is not possible to breathe in the room because of this. My brother, being in the room for 10 minutes, immediately had an allergy to the mold
Lucky he had a pills
Very bad. For this price NEVER AGAIN
Spen
The rooms are very scruffy all the furniture is chipped ,paint flaking off ,past its prime.
The air con is a waste of time only blows warm air and sounds like a train coming past, so we had to use the old type keep the door open to the balcony.
But i will give the cleaners there due they work hard and do a good job.
Now the management need to step up to the plate and do the same!
There is a pool.
No bar
Not restaurant
As stated in the jet2 right up breakfast is served over the road in a restaurant( and they don't do a bad job, food could be warmer)
No in-house room service (only a food delivery service, bloke on a moped)
So really as a hotel it's fairly poor.
Reception staff arent welcoming at all it's hard to get a hello that you feel they ment.
If your in a wheelchair stay away, the ramp up to reception is more scary than the ones used by stunt riders.
There is a fridge in reception with soda and water in
But no fridge in ya room.
Welcome pack in room don't read it,non of it is true I asked about private parking at 10 euro a night i got a blank look and then was told that was maybe when the last people ran it( so I used public parking down the street ended up with the bumper getting bent out of shape and crease in the door were someone tried to break in it)
All in all it's abit crap, no alot crap!
Homeless shelter have more to offer
Jet2 say it's a 3star.
It ain't nowhere near.
The week spent there i think there was a massive cloud overhead i couldn't find twinkle never mind a star!
I will go back palma had a lovely holiday but will not go near del Ray
SORRY 😞
