We recently stayed at Hilton Mallorca Galatzo and it truly felt like a serene escape tucked between the mountains and the Mediterranean. Set on a hillside, the hotel blends classic Mallorcan charm—terracotta tones, archways, and lush gardens—with all the modern comforts you’d expect from Hilton. From the moment I arrived, the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to leave everyday stress behind.
Our room was spacious and stylish, with a large balcony that became my favourite spot for morning coffee and evening sunsets over the sea. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Breakfast was a highlight—plenty of choice from fresh fruit to made-to-order omelettes—enjoyed on a sunny terrace surrounded by greenery.
The hotel offers two beautiful pools (one adults-only) plus a spa and fitness centre, perfect after exploring nearby beaches or the walking trails in the surrounding hills. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready with helpful local tips.
It is slightly removed from the main towns, so having a vehicle is recommended if you want to explore more of Mallorca. But for us, that seclusion was part of the charm.
Overall, Hilton Mallorca Galatzo is a tranquil, elegant retreat where you can truly unwind without sacrificing comfort or service.

Five star hotel is crazy because the service was giving one star. Look at all the 1 star reviews and READ THEM!
Yes the hotel was beautiful as well as location. The room was nice as well. Shower was smaller and confining. There was only one glass panel so it felt cold and water would easily escape and get the floor easily wet even if you were mindful of it.
The service was terrible and not giving five star hotel at all. I would call for in room dining service and no one would pick up. There was a day my room had not even been cleaned or bed made and no new towels so I had to call front desk for it. My daily water to drink was not getting filled so I had to call again and request for it.
The last day/night I needed a shirt and pants washed, dried, and pressed because I was going to wear it to the airport for my travel day next morning — so I needed my clothes that night. I called at 10am before I left to the pool to request the brown bag I put my clothes in to get picked up. Got back to my room at 2-3pm and the bag was not picked up and bed was not made. So I called again to have them come get the bag and explained my situation again. I finished getting ready to head out and no one still came to get the bag. So as I was heading out around 3-3:30pm now I asked again can someone please take care of this and I talked to a gentlemen at the front who took care of it for me. He also requested a cab for me to get into Palma that never even came after water 2 hours. Finally I get back to the hotel at 10pm and my clothes still have not been delivered to me. I called the front desk and at this time it was the night shift and explain what was happening. The service team was no longer there and had gone home already they explain. He was able to find my bag of clothes that was dropped off to my room and it was not washed or dried or pressed. So I called again around 10:30pm now and called the front desk 3 times with no one picking up. Mind you there were 2 night shift employees that day. So they were just ignoring my calls but made an excuse when I made the long walk from my room that was up and down lots of stairs to get to the front desk to explain my clothes were still dirty but he tried to tell me they were washed and in a sealed bag. Anyway there was nothing the front desk could do and they were not helpful by any means with terrible customer service. They gave me attitude so I gave it back. I had to make the long walk back to my room again with issue unresolved. So it’s 11pm now and I had dirty clothes that was my airport outfit and had to be up the next day at 5am for a 20 hour travel day back home in dirty clothes.
Every day I was in the main lobby there was another guest there who was complaining to the front desk about something. I can overhear each time that the front desk people would give the other customers an attitude. The day I was waiting for a cab for 2 hours there was a family mom, dad, and son who were checking in literally complaining and you can hear them also laugh at the fact the place was a five star hotel. The lady who was at the front desk on the phone was giving them a hard time with attitude as well.
The location is beautiful but terrible and hard to get into Palma. Calling for a taxi takes forever. I had them call me one and water 2 hours with nothing even coming. Uber location is terrible as well and cost 200+ for a one way.
Do not stay here trust me. It was not worth it. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it. I have Hilton Diamond Loyalty and if I ever get back to Mallorca I will not be staying at this Hilton property but staying at a competitors. I don’t even think there’s other Hilton properties on the island to choose from.
Again, look at how many 1 star reviews they have and the face that it’s a 5 star hotel with overall 4.2 stars says a lot. That’s almost a 1 star difference.

The room is up to Hilton standard but the facility overall is more like 4 stars. Not the best location as the view to the sea is mostly blocked. For a partial sea view room, the sea is 90% blocked by building and trees, should have advertised as something else less misleading. Exceptional good service by the reception but quite bad experience at the breakfast restaurants. Overall, up to upper-mid standard level with 5 star price - way overpriced by what you get. Was a Honor Gold during the stay.

It was just OK. Would not class as a 5 star sadly due to a lot of minor things.
* under staffed at reception and breakfast, long queues in lobby area, breakfast is total carnage and panic with staff
* some staff at poolside bearly speak english which is not what youd expect at a 5star
* so much noise in room at night, can hear everything from outside the rooms, to inside the rooms such as moving furniture, flushing of toilets, knocking on walls, showers, voices.
* rooms cleanliness is poor. floored are not mopped they are just brushed. lots of ants on the floor of bedrooms which the staff said was "normal".
* room set up is poor. we had a suite on floor two, but entry to the balcony was poor as theyd put a table in the way, the excess to the bathroom was poor as we had to enter the bathroom sideways, it felt like theyd tried to fit in too much into a small space. didnt need two TVs, dont need a large sofa plus a large chair
* the safe wasnt working, so had to lock our valuables in suitcase
* the shower hose broke/snapped at the head, so had to be replaced.
* the dinner buffet was really poor. hardly any choice.
* room service is 75 euros per request!!!
* late check out is 30euros for an hour.
* there is a place for children to play but un-supervised so an adult has to be present at all times, or you leave your child on their own!
* bar staff spend more time speaking to each other than taking your orders.
* to get a towel for the pool, u need to get a ticket from reception, so have to walk up the stairs into the lobby, wait in a queue to get a ticket from the understaffed reception desk, then back down again all the way back round to give the ticket and get a towel. unnecessary process.
* when sun bathing by the pool, the surrounding trees would shed little branches, which would litter the pool and pool floor, and was not cleared until the night or morning.
* pool is closed until 930am in mornings, and pool bar closes at 5pm in the afternoon. madness. -/////////
Positives were:
* staff friendly
* breakfast choices/options were very good
* pool was warm and deep in parts for good swimmers, or kids to jump in. -/////////
OVERALL, not too impressed, would not stay here again, but not the fault of the staff. the place is just basic and understaffed. (and they need to address the ants problem!)

The key aspect that makes this a 5-star review is the staff. We have stayed here for 8 days and every single member of staff has been a delight. Leticia from the Vista de Rey pool bar, Netty at the shops and golf concierge, Miguel in operations and more, all of which have been beyond special and made this trip so incredible. We were slightly upset about the vista de rey restaurant not being open and the taxis being unreliable (not Hilton’s fault) but they all made up for it and went beyond necessary to help us out. Overall, breakfast is really nice, lunch is more of the above and the workers just make it a million pound experience.
