I spent 4 days at this hotel. I arrived alone without suitecase, almost without nothing because luggage was lost at the airport. I was supposed to come here with two more persons but just one day before the trip they cancelled so I came alone. Hotel Preluna was in advance informed by travel agency about that I am coming alone and when I came to reception desk, first thing is to ask you to get out your wallet and to pay for local tax.After I paid, I explained the situation and that I was under huge stress but they didn’t care, nobody from reception staff offered any help. I asked them if they have basic dental kit and slippers to give me. Also one employee gave me his charger for mobile phone which is really nice from him, but nobody told me that its not necessary because in the room there is option to charge your phone. Hygiene in the room is not the best. The first time when they cleaned my room I hung up towels to be replaced and the guy who cleaned the room again asked me if I want new clean towels. The second time, room was much better cleaned, they left new clean towels but they didn’t take old dirty towels.Also since it’s very windy in Sliema when I opened the balcony door at the same time the entrance door from the room was opened so locking mechanism wasn’t the best. In the room it was paid to be 3 beds but they put 2 beds because of comfort how in the travel agency explained. My expectation was to be there 3 beds and bigger room because they got from us payment in advance and they should provide what was paid for not less than that because nobody didn’t get any refund. I think they did this because they didn’t want to spent more time bringing third bed in the room. There were little black spots on bed linen so it also looked dirty.My mistake was that I didn’t complain at the hotel. I wrote an email to travel agency when I came back but it’s not helpful because they said you didn’t complain at the hotel. I also sent an email to reservations email and got generic answer about apologize and that they will take some steps to make improvements without providing any further details. I also sent one message via contact form which is on their website but I never got the response so I think that form for contact is useless. The internet and food are very good. On the ground floor there is very hard smell from indoor pool. So my advice for people who plan to come to this hotel, when you see anything that is not working properly or some issues with hotel staff, go to reception desk and complain immediately. Also take photos to prove your complaints. Maybe that is the only way how you can get some refund for not very good service. My thoughts are that everything what I complained about, hotel staff could also check after I left but money is the only thing they care about.

Perfect location for a holiday to Malta.. buses stop across the road. We paid a little extra for Seaview, well worth it. Lots of shops, restaurants around and 5 min walk from main street.
Room was very comfortable, small fridge too.
Only negative was buffet dinner..we ate in hotel on one occasion. While food good and varied selection, felt it was overpriced at €30 per person.
Would definitely stay here again 🙂

John at reception was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and always had a kind, positive attitude. His customer service was truly amazing and made our stay so much better. Thank you, John, for such a wonderful experience!

Rooms were modern and mostly nice, warm and clean. No tissue box was a bit inconvenient. Shower head was abysmal, water very weak but at least hot. Staff were friendly, even gave us complementary breakfast. Breakfast was very decent with many choices. Location was a bit hard to get to with taxis, traffic jams between Valetta and Silema forced routes throught the hills. Supermarket within 5 minutes walking distance was convenient. Complimentary water was appreciated but very small (1 bottle of 300ml for 3 nights per person)

Hotel Bar: lovely and small but lots of seating. Bar staff make drinks to profection. Chatty staff. Really enjoyed sitting having a glass of wine talking to staff. Served by mainly the same 2 staff members.
Hotel Room: 2 single beds supposed to a double but easy to push together. Had a fridge. Came with shower caps, towels and soaps so forth.. TV playing in english and itilian.
Staff: Each and every staff member was helpful, polite, friendly. Reception staff espechally the gents who arranged me cash to pay for the hair dressers after not knowing they was cash only.
Hair dressers: Lovely head massage and blow dry but failed to say cash only first. €45 for a blowdry.
The hotel was clean and can activly see people cleaning. Had to wait 2 minutes or so whilst a cleaner was mopping the lift floor and finising up and when i stepped it, it looked and smelt beautiful!
Sky lounge was lovely.
If i came back to Malta i would return to this hotel.
