Wonderful hotel with lovely staff. Rooms were good standard and clean with decent fittings. Food offering at breakfast was good and the cave offering (bar) was great.
All staff I spoke to were lovely especially the receptionists who were so helpful.
Overall only downside is the hotel is slightly off the Main Street, although a 2 minute walk only.
Overall really enjoyed our stay and would certainly look to stay here again if we go to Malta.

Very good hotel. Rooms are clean and in very good condition. Spa center is really good too. The hotel has plenty of facilities for relaxation! There are also two restaurants, the food was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful, as were the other employees in the hotel. I highly recommended this hotel if proximity to the sea and beach is not important to you!

I think this is a pretty nice hotel. Although it may not be my favourite I still liked it. The staff are very kind, The breakfast and cave bar are great and it has quite a lot of things to do. Now here's the cons. The TV was not great, the pool was small and busy, the AC was pretty obnoxious and that's mainly all the cons. If you don't mind maltese TVs and obnoxious AC then I think you should go.

Just had an amazing week at the Pergola hotel. The hotel is lush with housekeeping in every daywith fresh towels and linen. My husband made good use of the gym and indoor pool facilities. The cave bar was fantastic with a great selection of both food and drinks. My son did say its the best fishn chips he has tasted and he is fussy! We ate at Da Ciccio twice during our time and it was fabulous, I must say Doreen and all the staff were fabulous and knew there stuff! We occasionally met Doreen about the hotel and she was amazing, friendly and just lovely 😍. I would come back to the hotel and have already priced a spa break for my friends and I. Stay away – cockroaches, mold, and serious safety issues!
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
We paid extra for a room with a sea view. Upon entering the room, we immediately saw a cockroach. After reporting this to reception, we were moved to a smaller room with no windows and a smaller bed — clearly not what we had paid for.
On day two, the staff told us no other rooms were available but promised a “deep clean” to eliminate the cockroach issue. This so-called deep clean was a joke; the room was still visibly dirty.
There was also mold in the room, with a strong and unpleasant smell. We could barely stay in the room and felt uncomfortable the entire time. When we reported this, the staff placed a fan in the room. However, the electricity was controlled by a sensor, meaning the fan only worked if we were physically in the room — completely pointless.
The most disturbing incident happened when my girlfriend was taking a shower. A cleaning staff member entered the room without knocking and ran out when he realized she was inside. Just two minutes later, another man entered the room again. This is absolutely unacceptable. After this, my girlfriend no longer felt safe staying at the hotel.
To make matters worse, we also saw a cockroach crawling under our table during breakfast.
After the first day, we wanted to leave and requested a refund. The hotel refused, stating they do not issue refunds. They later claimed the refusal was because we booked through Revolut, which makes no sense.
This hotel has serious hygiene problems and even more serious safety and privacy issues. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.
