We travelled early June, not overly busy or crowded just the perfect atmosphere for a chilled holiday with the family. We were self catering so can't comment on the food. The restaurant on site was lovely and does take aways. Well stocked and reasonable shop on site. Gym is the best I've come across for a holiday resort.
The apartments were clean and tidy. Cleaned on a daily basis.
Only downside is the distance from the main area in playa Blanca especially with young kids.
Will definitely be back.

Large complex with one bedroom apartments. The apartments are clean but are a little tired - the beds were comfortable. The pools are nice and some of them are heated. We found the place to be quiet and we slept well each night. The breakfast has lots of options, and the food quality was average. It’s a good value place to be, with a great location and lots of pools and activities. You’re not too far from the beach (20-25 mins walk) too.

Great hotel for children. Small heated pools but splash park and slide pools were cold in April. Good kids club and free disco with adult entertainment after. Reasonable walk to beach and souvenir shops but shuttle bus leaves each day to beach. Food is good with lots to choose from. We upgraded to half board plus which was worth it. An Aldi 50 metres away if you want self catering. Get a card for back gate for 10 euros..refundable..which gives easier access to beach etc.

Just got back and can say this is a good place for families, but I think there isnt much for adults, the rooms were clean but tired, and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, however the down side for couples is that when we went to the spa the girl seemed surprised we even wanted to come in, and said she would show us round, and then proceeded to show us a non working hot tub, a sauna that was out of order, so all we had to use was the indoor pool which had tiles missing and bits of stone etc in the bottom and didn't look clear, and a steam room which we then didn't bother to use after getting in and straight out of the pool.
On top of all this when I asked when was the large pool bar next to the adult pool going to open as they are in high season, the lady on reception said that they didn't know actually, and that normally it would be open already, we went here for my son and his fiancé's 30th birthdays, we did have a good time but if these things had been open properly it would have been even better.

THB Tropical Island is a great place for a relaxing and fun holiday, especially for families. The resort stands out for its wide range of facilities and welcoming atmosphere.
The pools are one of the biggest highlights—there are several to choose from, all clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space to relax. For children, the water slides add an extra level of fun and make it a perfect family destination.
The entertainment is varied and enjoyable, with activities during the day and shows in the evening that keep both kids and adults engaged. There’s always something happening, which adds to the holiday experience.
The restaurant offers a good variety of food, with options to suit different tastes. There’s also a shop on-site for essentials, which is very convenient. The sports bar is a nice touch too—ideal for relaxing, watching games, and enjoying a drink.
The overall view and surroundings are pleasant, creating a calm and enjoyable environment. The resort is well laid out, making it easy to move around.
In terms of accessibility, the hotel is well adapted, including disabled access, which makes it suitable for guests with mobility needs.
Cleanliness is excellent—the whole place feels tidy and well cared for. The staff are polite and helpful, always ready to assist and contribute to a positive stay.
Overall, THB Tropical Island is a nice, clean, and enjoyable holiday destination, especially for families looking for comfort, fun, and good facilities all in one place.
