I read some reviews and really want to put it all together if you wonder why all of them are true in the same time.
First, hotel is currently under renovation. It's about random if you'll get a new room (like, almost absolutely new) or ancient looking one. We got the old one but enjoyed the smell of wood and cozy atmosphere. The bathtub is blocked, that's true, maybe they'll fix it, maybe not, but generally it's still about old/renewed building.
Second, food. It's okay – not good, not bad. We're just trying different dishes and some of them are perfect and some are inedible.
Third, staff. Most of the boys are nice, but really, depends. Some reception workers are not friendly, some are absolutely lovely.
And let me explain, when should you definitely choose this hotel – when it's winter time. Because it's the only hotel where you can swim when it's not so warm – Laguna is warmer and it's not so windy here. This place is about different people, it's not perfect, but it has it's pluses

It is our first expérience in this hotel, we dont regret it at all. The whole hotel is amazing, the staff is more than amazing, helpful, respectful and kind. There are activities, the views are wOnderful and thé rooms are nice as the old Egypte. Even for kids, the staff was adorable. Rihem and Diana, who make the animation were adorable, good job. We might renew and recommend this expérience.

Excellent value for money. Huge territory, lots of sunbeds. Access to the water for swimming is everywhere. An all-inclusive system works well. Food variety was quite good. The renovated rooms are gorgeous especially the view from the balcony.

The hotel is not 5 star but the staff are amazing. From the lovely gentleman that cleaned our room every day to Ahmed, who was bar staff and pool area, Sayed and Shark who made sure we had clean towels and sunbeds for the pool everyday. Ali from the fish doctor pedicure shop who took us to the marina one evening to show us around and find a steak restaurant. Tito and Bond from the red sea excursion company who assisted us with booking some amazing trips. Ticked off things on our bucket list thanks to those guys. Mahmood another waiter and bar person that always went above and beyond for us. Hussein in the smaller dining area that ensured we always had a table and was so attentive to us. The chef in the smaller restaurant in the morning was absolutely amazing, sadly I never got his name but he never forgot how we like our eggs. His pancakes were amazing as well. The staff in the spa and beauty salon were also some of the mist professional and kind staff I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Massage and Hammamm were to due for. My husband and I left with new feet thanks to the staff. My husband had a hair cut and shave which were sublime. Aside from the threading, which he found painful but funny.
I really cannot rate this hotel and staff highly enough. We are looking to go back next month for a sneaky week before Christmas 🎄 as we loved it do much.

I rarely leave negative reviews, and overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The food was delightful, the beach area was beautiful, and my partner and I had a relaxing time.
However, our experience with the reception was disappointing. We arrived early and appreciated being allowed to check in 30 minutes before the official time, but the room we received was not what we had requested. We were given two separate beds instead of one large bed, the phone was broken, and the fridge was both dirty and not working.
We informed reception, and they promised to bring a new phone, but that never happened. We pushed the beds together ourselves, but it was uncomfortable to sleep. When we asked to change rooms, we were told we could do so the following evening. The next day, we received the same answer
“tomorrow.” It became stressful and tiring.
When we finally were able to change rooms, the receptionist we dealt with was quite arrogant and unhelpful. The entire process took about an hour and a half because our old room key was deactivated before we could retrieve all of our belongings, forcing us to go back and forth several times. The staff made us feel as if the situation was our fault, which was disappointing.
Once we settled into the new room, everything went smoothly until check-out. At that point, we were told we could have lunch and dinner included since we had a late flight, but once again, the reception’s attitude was unpleasant and unprofessional.
It’s unfortunate, because the resort itself is lovely the food, beach, and overall atmosphere are wonderful. However, the lack of professionalism and courtesy from some reception staff left a negative impression on what could have been a perfect stay.
