We stayed bank holiday for a week, booked the royal level as thought they were updated rooms. Check in was fine, not particularly friendly and literally no hotel information given, we had to work out for ourselves it was on an app. Paper directions given to our room.. So 4 lifts and 2 crossing roads later we got to our block then another lift up. No offer of help. We also realised by day 2 what an absolute pain in the butt it was.
The apartments themselves are very spacious, but are very old and worn, they have everything you need. As the pictures show plaster is held on by paint, I wouldn’t say it was worth an upgrade and the views are pretty poor.
The beds are odd thin plastic mattresses with old bed sheets and uncovered duvets. Air con is only in the bedroom which worked ok, I can understand why, as we left the patio doors open all the time so would be pointless in the living areas.
Kitchen had most things you need, maybe if you’re thinking staying long term, some useful bits might help, as they don’t leave you much but wash up liquid. Large fridge/freezer, hob and microwave. Lots of dishes, pots, pans provided which were clean.breakfast was included with our package but it was pretty basic so we bought in from the local nearby supermarket. The pool bar did nice food, and the staff here were lovely.
Most people choose this for the terraces which are so huge, our table and chairs was ok brolley a bit rubbish. The floor was filthy with the constant kalima it’s fine dust all the time, so you need shoes or a foot scrub 😂.. it’s very quiet to the point of echo which was a bit odd, literally no ambient noise at allI, I think most of the resort was empty this week, such a difference to winter.
We used the pool a few times, again this was mostly empty, the royal pool was shut which we were not informed of, so we had to schlep down to the terrazamar level to swim, which was fine, again needs a refurbishment as looking pretty tired. we took a taxi a few times to amadores as love the beach more.
We were looking for long stay in winter as have stayed across the valley at the Casablanca in November , but honestly the prices are not worth what is provided Servatur seem to be hiking up prices and really lacking in upkeep of the hotels here, so we will go half board in a much nicer hotel in Tenerife now. Puerto Rico is a lot of fun, but honestly I’d just go to mainland Spain in summer the journey isn’t really worth the hassle or cost. We paid about £2000 with easy jet purely for decent flight times which is excessive for a week considering what was provided. I know many people come to this complex year after year, but it’s a no from me unfortunately.

Absolutely fantastic, apartment was spotless and maids visited daily to top up loo rolls, clean make beds etc., Balcony absolutely huge with a great view, 1st night we were one set of linen down but reported in morning and it was sorted whilst we were out and also we were left a bottle of wine, receptionists lovely and always happy to help with taxis or any info you required.

Solid 3-star accommodation which is close to the main shopping strip and bars, but (in December) was very quiet after 9pm. 18 min walk to the sandy beach with plenty of space to sun bathe (€10.50 in Dec for a couple of loungers and a parasol). We had a jacuzzi which used the hot water system to fill, which was only just OK temperature wise. Plenty of cafes and restaurants with a variety of cuisine for a variety of budgets. We had a great week for weather, 22° and mainly sunny. Highly recommended.

Spent 8 Days here from 2nd of October to 10th October 2025, I must say I have never stayed anywhere as good as here, I loved my stay from the moment I stepped off our transfer coach from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Airport.
As a first time visitor to Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria I have never been as impressed as was here.
We stayed in SunSuites Room 1216 to be exact and I couldn’t fault anything! The spacious apartment, living area with table, television as well as couch and pull out bed. Terrace was just fabulous, spent most of my holiday relaxing on this terrace. We had a Jacuzzi on our Terrace and with days where temps hit 29/30 degrees, it certainly helped!
Kitchen was good, decent fridge/freezer. Bathroom was good also. Beds were good quality, not too firm mattresses which I liked, and accompanying quilt as well as extra pillows.
Cannot wait to return in the near future!

Hotel was perfectly situated, one set of stairs to the main shopping centre with bars, restaurants and shops. It had 3 hotels at 3 levels each containing a swimming pool and bar area. The staff were very helpful, the bar and shop was great. The hotel had another exit that lead directly behind the Morgan mall, which was fantastic for us with the children. LOADS of sunbeds at each poolside plus your own private balcony with sunbeds for privacy if you required.
