This hotel is an absolute dream. I am Tunisian and have traveled to Tunisia twice a year so far, and I always had stomach issues. In this hotel, I did not have a single problem. From beginning to end, we were treated like royalty. The staff advised us against using ice cubes, and everyone paid great attention to the health and well-being of the guests. All employees were extremely courteous and attentive. Our room attendant was incredibly thoughtful and did not even want to accept our tip at first, only after a long discussion.
The reef is beautiful. An absolute highlight? The German-speaking parrots! Yoga classes at sunset and the wonderful à la carte restaurants were also amazing. There is absolutely nothing we could complain about. We stayed in room 3034, which was simply incredible, with a sea view even though we had not booked one.
We love this hotel and its people and will come back every year. Thank you for this wonderful and unforgettable time.

Our first time to Makida Bay Nov 2025 and to the Serenity Alpha beach.
First night given a room with twin bed (we had requested a double), we changed this the following afternoon to 2112.
Found the main restaurant to be very busy, drink service in the restaurant indifferent (some days good / others bad).
Now egg station chef I would give him 4/10 🥺, often omelettes were still runny inside not good, queues could get to 10 people, chef should be making greater use hotplate. Choice of food plentiful.
We did use the beach lunch bar and to be honest found that to be very disorganised and slow - lucky to get a single drink there some day's - in contrast we visited the Serenity Fun City for lunch their service was excellent, staff proactive couldn't be faulted.
After several days used the Bayview restaurant for breakfast and dinner and once again the egg station chef 5/10 - gave me someone else's omelette one day and omelette raw inside (runny) a couple of days (he wasn't under pressure like the main restaurant), drinks also in here indifferent.
Tried the a la carte restaurants and preferred the restaurants at the Serenity Fun City - waiting staff so much better and efficient (our favourites being Italian, Chinese and Lebanese restaurants).
Got to say I was rather upset / angry with the chef at the Mexican restaurant (Alpha beac) - the chille served was way too hot, I'm used to hot food but my eyes were streaming, the waiters laughed, I told the chef to try the chilli but he refused! Surely the chef should try what he serves to the customers.
The laundry was a good price so we sent it off, they did a good job BUT went to reception to pay and asked for a receipt and the receptionist tried to get more money out of us asking for more than was on the receipt until we queried it.
Must say it's rather a steep incline from the beach area to main restaurant area Alpha Beach.
Must say the staff at Serenity Fun City are so much more efficient, friendly, switched on compared to Alpha beach, well done to them.
Would we go back to Serenity Alpha beach hmm tough call.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was very good, with plenty of variety and great taste every day. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The drinks were also excellent, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and always well prepared.
The animation team was outstanding, providing fun activities and great entertainment throughout the day and evening. The beach was another big plus, with a smooth, gentle entrance into the water, perfect for relaxing and swimming.
Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

We recently stayed at Serenity Alpha Beach in Hurghada and had a fantastic experience. We booked a Club Executive Room which was lovely and spacious, with a gorgeous pool and sea view. The entire resort is spotless — the grounds are constantly being cleaned — and despite its huge size, we never once struggled to find a sunbed.
Food-wise, there’s great variety, with fresh BBQ options and delicious cakes each day. We tried the Chinese, Moroccan and Italian à la carte restaurants and all were beautiful. There’s a good selection of cocktails and the local spirits were absolutely fine, though the Infinity Bar serves the better premium drinks. Snorkelling in the sea is a must — the marine life is incredible. We also booked a quad bike tour with Remal Safari just outside the hotel, which was great fun.
The only downside was that the main pool was freezing, so we didn’t brave it most days, but the other pools were perfectly fine. Evenings were relaxed — the animation shows were okay, but we preferred sitting by the main bar enjoying the live music each night. Do make sure you get a “Do Not Disturb” sign for around the pool, as the sales people can be a bit persistent.
A massive thank you to the amazing staff who made our stay even better: Alaa and Mahmoud at the bar, Mr Sheriff the hotel manager, El Hussain our brilliant restaurant waiter, and the fantastic animation team — G, Coco, Hesham, Ellie and Caitlin. Also a big shout-out to Mahamad, who kept our room (3138) spotless. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful; we tipped little and often and it was clearly appreciated.
We also did an afternoon excursion of Hurghada with MTS which was a great experience to see how the locals live and hear more about the city, would highly recommend!
Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d happily return

Nice hotel, for 18+
+Pros: Clean beautiful huge territory. Staff working hard and trying their best, always asking for feedback. Amazing coral reef.
20mins from the airport (faster than Google map shows for some reason).
-Cons: No kid’s pool with slides. Photos on some reviews are from neighbouring Alma/Fun City hotel, where Aqua park is paid for Alpha guests (40€/day x2 adults 1 kid).
We weren’t informed kids pool with mini slides is part of Aqua park and is paid, and the Alma pool guy told us to pay, seeing the different colour of bracelets, which makes no sense given the All Inclusive price tag.
We did use the Alma/Fun City Luna park: 8 tickets /8€ which is fully reasonable, and there are nice rides.
It’s unfair that Alma guests can use the Alpha beach and loungers, but Alpha guests can’t use the kids pool at Alma.
Also, no beach restaurant, only drinks bar/ice cream. There’s ala carte on the beach, with prices and qr code to book which never worked (no WiFi on the beach).
WiFi works only in the lobby and main restaurant, which is not a big minus, as it’s a nice place to relax.
Nosy beach sellers, of course they need to earn a living, but not by disturbing 3 times per day, and it would make the experience nicer if they just had offers/price lists near their shops and maybe a paper list on arrival.
Christmas gala was in a covered arena (big plus as chilly evenings) but was not very well organised as there was an enormous line to get food (8 pm). Maybe a snack bar (at least for kids) starting at 6:30 could be an idea.
