We have been going to the Sands Beach Resort Hotel for many years, both on holiday and for our annual triathlon training camp with the athletes I coach.
We love the relaxed atmosphere around the hotel and with a variety of pools and plazas, there’s plenty to offer both the relaxing and active type! We really like the spacious rooms with plenty of areas for bikes, bike boxes, wetsuits, cases etc. As active holiday makers, we bring a lot of kit!
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The reception and restaurant staff always remember us. We go half board, as with training it’s easier and on our recent trip we noticed a marked improvement in the quality of food at the evening buffet. We also saw improvements starting to happen around the site and are excited to see how the new owners develop the complex.
Ryan, the Group's Manager, has been brilliant each year, helping us arrange our training camps, and only this week, my athletes have been discussing our 2027 camp! We can’t wait to get back out there!
Whilst the hotel is at the end of the resort, it’s not out on a limb like some big hotels there. It’s only a short walk to shops, restaurants and bars, should you want them. It’s a great base for training, relaxing and exploring the island.
Hasta Luego!/ See you soon.

We stayed from 31th of June until 12th of July. The apartment complex and the rooms are a bit dated but totally ok and they were always clean. The entire staff was consistently friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good and offered a varied selection every day.
A special mention goes to the Entertainment team for the adults and the children The entertainer Ana was fantastic and always interacted wonderfully with the children and the adults too. For example aqua gym, Bingo or Quizzes.

My stay at Sands Beach Resort was absolutely fantastic and incredibly relaxing.
The resort is beautifully designed, with whitewashed architecture, peaceful lagoons, and a wonderful beachfront setting that captures the unique charm of Lanzarote. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and perfect for a restful vacation.
The apartments were spacious, clean, and very well equipped, making the stay feel convenient and enjoyable. Waking up to the ocean breeze and walking along the beach was a memorable experience.
The pools, restaurants, and overall facilities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the stay.
Overall, a wonderful resort experience relaxing, well located, and ideal for enjoying the natural beauty of Lanzarote.

⭐️ 0 stars – Sands Beach Resort Lanzarote: The holiday where you experience more than you actually booked.
We booked three bungalows at Sands Beach Resort and were looking forward to a nice holiday in Lanzarote. What we got instead was more of a mix between survival training, a treasure hunt and an unwanted adventure holiday.
We booked self-catering accommodation because every bungalow had its own kitchen. The idea was great – the reality was unfortunately very different. The kitchen was so poorly equipped that you almost had to bring your own. Plates, cutlery and basic things needed for cooking and preparing food were missing or insufficient. The highlight: an oven without a baking tray. If you want to bake or prepare something in the oven here, you better bring some creativity – or your entire kitchen from home. ❌
The cleanliness was another major issue. The rooms were not cleaned regularly – sometimes housekeeping only came once during the entire week. But we did have other “residents” who seemed to have booked a longer stay: cockroaches in the rooms included.
The security situation was another highlight. One of our three bungalows had a broken entrance door for the entire week of our holiday. The door handle eventually simply fell off – apparently the door itself was ready to quit. We were told that a security guard would be there to make sure nobody could break in. Unfortunately, this security guard seemed to be as difficult to find as a working door – we never saw him. Of course, the door was not repaired either.
And then there was the special “service experience”: Our Takis (snacks) were suddenly gone, an expensive watch disappeared, and even tampons went missing. Apparently, the hotel offers a new concept: “You arrive with your belongings and wait to see what is still there at the end.”
If you are looking for a holiday with a broken door, missing kitchen equipment, cockroaches as roommates, rare cleaning service and a daily surprise effect, then this is the perfect place for you.
For everyone else: maybe choose accommodation where the kitchen is not emptier than your suitcase after check-out and where the door actually stays closed.
Thank you, Sands Beach Resort – this holiday will definitely be unforgettable. Just unfortunately not for the reasons you would hope for. 😉

We’ve been visiting Sands Beach Resort since 2012, and it continues to be one of our favourite places to stay in Costa Teguise. The resort layout is excellent — the lagoon area is peaceful, spacious, and perfect for relaxing, and the location is ideal for coastal walks and easy access to the town.
The staff have always been friendly and helpful, but the person who consistently stands out is Ryan Jenkins. He supported me during a health issue back in 2016, and his kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely goes above and beyond, and he’s been a big part of why we’ve kept returning over the years.
The accommodation has always been clean, comfortable, and well‑maintained, and the whole resort has a calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. Sands Beach has been a reliable favourite for well over a decade, and I’m always happy to recommend it.
